Valve presenting something at Sony's E3 show?

It's a game obviously? Because he said 'feature' but maybe he just meant they would be featured at Sony's E3 and not just there thing is a 'feature'

THis is in reference to the Gi cover reveal. If you look at his other tweets I think he's just saying it could literally be anything. I think at the moment we are looking too much into it.


Now I see why mods dislike posts being made about twitter comments. This has literally 0 context if you just read this one post.

I think in this case it's more of a "well we found the bomb, it has a Valve logo, but how much damage will it do? What will it even do?"

I actually think it'll be just a port of something like CS:GO. I think the bigger deal will be a connection between the Steam platform and the PS3/PS4/Vita. Like having certain indie games crossbuy across not only all PS systems, but Steam as well. There's also Steam home streaming capability on PS4, which would be insane as well.
 
The most exciting thing about a new source engine would be new mod tools, why on earth would they introduce their new engine in a sony conference

I'd love something huge like HL3, or L4D3/ Portal 3 "console exclusive" (PC, PS4) just to see people on here shit the bed but I imagine it's nothing as exciting as that.

Probably L4D3, though I pray to the mighty Gaben it's HL3.
 
I only care about HL3 from Valve at this point and this time possibly without a vomit inducing camera like HL2, thank you :D

General question. Using the logic of that tweet, does that mean no Nintendo games are going to be in the issue since they're not waiting till Tursday?

My interpretation is the same as yours if Andy isn't being full of shit.

Left 4 Dead 3, multi platform, announced and shown at the Sony conference.

The L4D2 backlash was way out of hand. It is actually a game that would have been a good candidate for episodic content - a new scenario every couple months. I'd have subscribed to that.
 
I'd be happy for L4D3. I still play the crap out of 2 and even 1 ocassionally. Obviously lots of people want HL3, but it just seems like we would have gotten more leaks if that was the case.

Not necessarily. Half-Life 2 wasn't much more than a rumor prior to E3 2003, and I could see Valve being even more tight-lipped about HL3 due to what happened back then with HL2's source code leak.

Though yeah, I'd love L4D3 as well. If it's one of those I'll be happy.
 
I think he means maybe it's multiplatform? Or maybe it's some irony about the secret megaton 3rd party XB1 exclusive rumours.

Still, if anything then maybe L4D3 is a good bet.
 
Sony has shared their modified version of OpenGL with Valve and in Return Valve will share their work.

5 years from now everyone who was whining about how hard OpenGL is(it is actually, still better compared to the competition. OPEN!!!) will say how effing easy it is.

yeah or that steam in home streaming will come to Vita and PS now will come to Steam.
