Her name is Detective Joanna Locasto (Meagan Good). Twenty years ago she was Vivian's best friend and practically grew up inside the Bowers' home. And when she appears at Vivian's funeral, the family re-embraces her and no one is the wiser. Joanna quickly begins to uncover dark secrets and clues about why Vivian's life was very much in danger. At the same time, she rekindles an old romantic relationship and rediscovers the allure of the luxurious lifestyle she once knew. They're loving, fun and a little crazy. In other words, just like everyone else - with one exception: they live in a very special house. The White House! Whether it's entertaining foreign dignitaries, holding secret cabinet meetings or putting out fires - figuratively and sometimes literally - there's never a dull moment in the Gilchrist White House. For example, the First Son (Josh Gad) is one of the administration's biggest liabilities but also the glue that holds this family together. The President (Bill Pullman) knows too well that the only thing harder than being Head of State is being head of the family.

And even though the arrival of a sexy new transfer student named Sebastian brings some excitement to Carrie's world, she is struggling to move on from her grief. So when Tom offers Carrie the chance to intern at a law firm in Manhattan, she leaps at the chance. Thanks for the thread, Ratsky. This is a great resource.

I'm planning on putting threads together for The Americans and House of Cards. There are preliminary/hype threads up for those here and here.

Raistlin

Post Count: 9999
Nice job on the thread Ratsky, but given the title ... wouldn't it have made more sense to not include returns (shows that already started their season in 2012)?

House of Cards. Fincher/Spacey + a great cast, along with the fact that it's the first Netflix original series makes it very interesting for a variety of reasons.

The Big Bang Theory - CBS
Go On - NBC
Justified - FX
Shameless - Showtime (plan to start watching it)
Californication - Showtime*
Supernatural - The CW
Suits - USA (if I'm caught up)
The Walking Dead - AMC
Mad Men - AMC (if I'm caught up)
Game of Thrones - HBO

I think that will be all for me. About new shows, some of these look very promising. Some familiar faces in there as well, of well regarded actors. I plan to watch some of these, but I'll wait for good receptions. I only get into a new show if it's really worth it, I can't handle watching all the stuff that I already watch.

I love your TV threads Ratsky.

I just wrote down my list earlier today, it's pretty terrifying. (And now this topic had reminded me a of a few more shows. @_@ )

vatstep

This poster pulses with an appeal so broad the typical restraints of our societies fall by the wayside.
Celebrity Diving? Wow.

Definitely will watch:

1600 Penn - Enjoyed the preview a little while back, plus Jenna Elfman is smoking.
Banshee - Looks fun.
The Following - Fuck, looks like it might be one of the best new shows this season.
Cult - The bizarre premise and Robert Knepper have got me intrigued
Hannibal
Hemlock Grove - I hadn't heard about this show till I read the OP, but it sounds interesting

Maybe will watch:

Transporter: The Series
- I didn't know this was a thing until right now.
Legit - May check this out. I saw Wilfred, didn't really click with it, but I'll give this a shot.
The Americans (That promo photo Ratsky used is hilariously photoshopped, right?)
Do No Harm (I predict this will be canceled very fast)
House of Cards
Orphan Black

Might add a couple more shows on this list if reception and ratings are good.

These shows will be tacked onto what I'm already watching. Wow, this is a lot of TV.

Already will be watching:

Person of Interest
Arrow
Supernatural
Nikita

The Office

Bones
Hawaii Five-0

White Collar
American Horror Story: Asylum

Other things could be added if reviews are good and interesting. There's a whole lot of vile shit in there too.

I think both Cult and The Following will be really interesting. The Following just looks really, really good. I'm interested in Cult since the CW's been on fire lately, and after watching the trailer, it just looks so weird... the sunglasses make me think of They Live, but if it was some kind of paranoid creepy drama instead of a badass sci-fi movie.

they-live5.jpg

Edit: Huh! I didn't know Cult is created by the dude who created Farscape. Reading a few interviews, this sounds even cooler than I thought. Mind control, paranoia, insanity, right up my alley.

I really want to see what that Orphan Black show is about. It looks really interesting (although it also looks like someone took the subplot from this season of Dr Who and ran with it).

The Office (show isn't any good anymore, but I've come this far, so may as well finish it out)
Girls
Parks & Rec
Archer
The Walking Dead
Southland
Mad Men
Veep
Game of Thrones

New shows I'll definitely watch:
The Americans
House of Cards

New shows I might give a try:
The Following
Mr. Selfridge (I know nothing about the show, but I like Piven)

Wow, I watch a lot more shows than I thought.

American Horror Story
Bunheads
Justified
Shameless
Girls
Enlightened
Parks and Recreation
Archer
The Walking Dead
Game of Thrones
Mad Men
Veep
Doctor Who

Will sample:

The Americans
House of Cards (not sure when I'll watch it with the unusual release schedule)
Hannibal

Isn't Ray Donovan expected to debut this spring as well? I have big doubts about the show but am keeping an eye on it nonetheless.

If anyone wants to see terrible TV, Zero Hour is a glorious trainwreck in the likes of something we haven't seen in a while.

Also, Ratsky, you forgot Bates Motel.

New shows I'll absolutely be watching:

The Following
The Americans
House of Cards
Inside Amy Schumer
Save Me
Hannibal
Hemlock Grove
Bates Motel

Will give a few episodes:

Banshee
1600 Penn
Legit
Monday Mornings
Red Widow
Orphan Black
Defiance
Rectify
Da Vinci's Demons

Returning:

Happy Endings
Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23 (Please watch these two)
Go On
Justified
The Neighbors (sparingly)
Modern Family (sparingly)
30 Rock
Fringe
Girls
Enlightened
Workaholics
Parks & Recreation
Southland
Revolution
Game of Thrones
Mad Men
Community

Must catch up on:

Parenthood
American Horror Story: Asylum
Downton Abbey
Nashville
Shameless

What's with Happy Endings on Sundays and Tuesdays? Is ABC trying to bump this show off quick?

Long story short, their schedule with Dancing with the Stars would have left 7 episodes unaired.

The Doctor looks old as shit these days. Banshee has Ulrich Thomsen in it so I'll watch that and also Hannibalwith Mads, am I missing anything else with great danish actors?

Don't tell me Bourdain has sold out?!

Slightly off-topic, but I didn't think Groupon had an office in LA. Just Chicago/Palo Alto (next to Fry's)? Maybe they picked LA for the "glamor" aspect?

Shit, there is way too many I'm going to be checking out. I'll have to check back and make some reminders.

I'm hoping The Following and Zero Hour are halfway decent and looking forward to the return of Touch.

Everything I've heard about The Following pilot has been excellent, so looking forward to that one. I'm so behind on other things that I don't want to pick too much up though.
