It's a toss up between 2 and 4 for different reasons. 2 because I just love the atmosphere and tension throughout the game, and the RPD building is just a great, eerie setting. It's got the right mix of action and scares for me.

4 because of the replay value and the corny dialogue. Just the variety of weapons and choices for combat means I could play it thousands of times and still have fun. And I can STILL watch any of the various cutscenes and laugh my ass off.

2, Remake, and Code Veronica are tied for my favorite, all 3 are so good in their own ways. If I had to pick a favorite out of all of them, it'd be 2. 2 for me is one of the best games ever made. I've played 2 so many times, I kind of wish Capcom would put the original games on PS4 and Xbox One, but we have remake, we'll have a remake of 2 soon, now all that's left is Code Veronica.

Resident Evil 4 is my favorite. It's not much as a survival horror game, but I love the atmosphere and gameplay. The story's a lot of fun too, and I think it strikes the right balance of serious and ridiculous/self-aware.

Favorite classic-styled game is REmake, followed by RE3. I actually don't like RE2 that much, but I'm excited for the new version they're working on.

The second because it's my first one and the last one that actually terrified me. I think four is the best game, but to me it's when the series lost its survival element. It was just too easy, and I was never even close to being low on ammo.

Resident Evil 4 is the only one to have me coming back for me, had an amazing time playing through that game. I liked them all though.

My favorite is 3.

It was the first one I played and I completed it many times to get the prologues... on hard, no-saves, getting all the files etc (back when I was 15, now im 27).
And, curiously enough, I replayed it last week and finished it yesterday (on psp). It's still a great game. Fun, with different locations, action oriented, great for (indoor) portable gaming. And Jill is the best.

After 3, RE2 and RE4 are tied for the second spot. As regards to the gameplay, they are perfect. But RE2 contributes to the overall story.

All the Jill Parts in Revelations are great too. Specially the first part, since it didn't start right off with the puzzles and stuff and just focused on presenting you the ship and the enemies that lurk there.



You know, i just really like Jill as a character and I really hated how she was BLONDE on RE5. Was there a reason for that?

Resident Evil 3 for me. It was the perfect mix of action and survival horror.

I'm also pretty fond of Dead Aim. I used to do speed runs all the time back in the day. I liked the third person/first person mix.

REmake is my favorite, followed closely by RE2 & RE4. The other entries in the series just haven't beaten the mansion and all of its secrets as a setting. They might have better gameplay/some improvements/nice gimmicks, but exploring the mansion is still the best.

I loved everything that came before it, also... even Code Veronica. Not a huge fan of anything that came afterwards, though.
