There's a comic from the 80s maybe 90s I think where Spider-Man is supporting a whole building. So nothing new really.

That's Peter, Ben Reilly has web cartridges on his wrists and the suit looks different (blackish) than the classic.
He can still joke around and still fuck people up. When Octavius bitched out at the end of Superior he was throwing jokes around while crushing Osborn's hands/wrists.
IIRC Ben had the massive spider emblem that covered his whole torso. Was also Ben that made the Impact Webbing, right?

You can clearly see Thor is struggling with Hulk, hence why they engage the hulk with the fighter jet.

Spider-Man is a street level character but not his powers.
Most of these scenes where it shows his unbelievable power is due to Spider-Man being in a tough spot and getting a sort of adrenalin rush overcoming the hurdle.
There aren't that many situations (at least up to the 90's comics) where he can show his raw strength though.
Oh wow. I remember this exact scene from Spectacular Spider-man(dialog was different probably). It was great, probably shouldn't be surprised.

Lol I don't know how we decide what comic book "reasoning" is sound and what isn't. The whole concept of changing DNA of an individual and having them change physiologically is beyond ridiculous. So once you accept that, it's perfectly fine to say the spider DNA gave him instincts for certain enzymes and how to mix them to create the webbing.
Not to mention teenage geniuses are kind of a staple of fantasy works.

I'm pretty sure it enhanced his strength because Eddie Brock was a normal guy and it gave him Spider-Man level strength.

That's all KINDS of messed up. 70s era iron man shouldn't be anywhere near that high. Neither should vision really.
Surfer even back then should be top of the pile. She hulk has embarrassed Ben Grimm more than once. Colossus even in the 80s could mix it up with juggernaut. He'd lose, but they had good fights.

See, that's what makes a character trait good. The quips aren't just there for the sake of humor alone. They inform you about the character, and even the absence of them tells you something about the character's mindset at the moment

No idea, really. The only time I have seen Silver Surfer doing hand to hand combat (instead of using cosmic powers) was against The Vision during the Avengers / Defenders war for the Evil Eye, so... as usual, depends on the writer.
Also, remember when Spider-man was able to beat the crap out of a Galactus Herald because nobody else was available at the moment? He tries to contact the Avengers, the Fantastic Four, even the X-Men... And then goes on by himself.

Surfers physical abilities are enhanced by the power cosmic. He's essentially "incalculable".
He doesn't beat down people with raw strength often but he can. He had a nasty fight with hulk in planet hulk, and was throwing down with a mind controlled Thing in his current series.

Are you asking for consistency in a fictitious character? Pretty sure there's no guideline for that, most comic book characters are heavily inconsistent depending on the writer.

I just rewatched Avengers yesterday. He's struggling to prevent Hulk from doing any collateral damage, and is trying to block Hulk from the rest of the crew and equipment. He's not trying to "beat" him at all. When Thor actually blocks Hulk's blows it isn't shown to be very taxing (in the memorable one where Hulk tries to crush him with his fist Thor blocks it with his forearm like he's blocking a flyswatter). The fighter jet is to help Thor distract Hulk and get him away from everyone else.
We've seen Thor go for killing blows in the MCU, and it only takes him one hit when he connects. He's not trying to fight Hulk in the Avengers - he's just trying to subdue or distract him.
Superior works well when paired with the new Spider-Man arc.
He absorbed a bunch of energy to pump himself up.

Checked it out last year on Unlimited and it actually pretty good
The reason why I found it worked so well was not only did have an interesting different take on Spidey. It also was good story about Peter, about his personality, his relationships with friends and allies and enemies, through contrast
