I think the problem is that normal people simply dust their appliances / give their house a general clean more than once every 2 years.

I know they are not gonna bring every VC or Wiiware to Wii U mode so why not make a shortcut (like a channel forwarder) on Wii U menu for specific Wii games to launch directly without launching Wii Menu then SD Card Menu etc.?

You know like "create shortcut" a list of installed Wii games are shown, you select the title, a shortcut is created on Wii U Menu

That would be more life changer than bringing 1-2 sec optimization or more stability into our systems.

I can't believe you people have enough stuff on your systems to necessitate folders. I picked up my Wii U for the first time in about a month the other day and had to remove a layer of dust. But hey, I'm glad they're trying to make their system better. Maybe in 10 years they'll have a unified account system and an interface that doesn't take 15-20 seconds to get into and out of system settings.

Truly, the Wii U, like the PS3 before it, has no games. Nintendo and Sony are comrades in eternal shame.

I didn't really have much of a need for any either, since I only had to scroll through two or so pages of stuff. I still think they are kinda neat because it let me throw a bunch of icons I don't use that often( mii maker, parental controls, health warnings etc) into one folder

My room gets very dusty at the moment. It's southfacing with the airing cupboard in.

As such, my Wii U gets very dusty...despite me using it nearly every day

Fun part is that all the systems I don't use end up in their boxes so ironically the "dusty" systems are the ones that have no dust at all since they're in their boxes....
Heck only the handheld never get dusty since they get moved a lot.

Wrong. You can connect a second HDD to the Wii U and transfer between them.
