But if you want to get started straight away why not try checking out the shows listed below and joining in on their ongoing discussion. Just remember, don’t be a crude lewd.

DbNnRD0.png

Like the box of chocolates you received for Christmas, there’s a variety of flavours to be had this season. Here’s a selection of shows the community has hedged their bets on. Let’s hope no one accidentally picked the coffee one.

HY3gGA4.png

1. Active Raid: Kidou Kyoushuushitsu Dai Hakkei
zICBjuj.png

A story of a police force that uses giant (CG) robots to fight the rise in crime and a woman's attempts to rehabilitate said police force, which apparently hasn't been doing its job very well. On one hand, the premise looks to have some elements of Patlabor in it, so perhaps there's a chance some quality storytelling could come of this. On the other hand, the premise looks to have some elements of Patlabor in it, and you should probably just watch that instead.

2. BBK/BRNK (Bubuki Buranki)
zICBjuj.png

Returning to Japan after having been away for 10 years, Azuma Kazuki finds himself attacked and captured by armed strangers. What saved him was his childhood friend, the girl Kogane Asabuki, and the Bubuki that had become her right hand.

3. Dagashi Kashi
if51RD4.png
yoVHwbp.png

Summer, sweets, air conditioning. The lives of Hotaru and Kokonotsu intertwine through an endless march of expectations, dollar store candy, & the ever crushing chains of hopes and dreams binding us all from our destiny of running a run-down Dagashi.

4. Dimension W
if51RD4.png

In 2071, the world's energy problems have been solved by coils that extract infinite energy from the mysterious dimension W. Recovery specialist Kyoma and coil android Mira join together to fight the powers of illegal coils.

CYODXKA.png

5. Divine Gate
if51RD4.png

When the Divine Gate opened, the living world, the heavens, and the underworld became connected, ushering an era of chaos where desires and conflict intersect. To restore order, the World Council is formed. As peace is restored, the Divine Gate becomes an urban legend. In that world, boys and girls deemed fit by the World Council are gathered. They are ones who aim to reach the gate for their personal objectives. Those who reach the gate can remake the world. What lies beyond the gate? When they reach the door, will the world change? Will it be the past that changes, or will it be the future?

6. ERASED (Boku Dake ga Inai Machi)
zICBjuj.png
yoVHwbp.png
if51RD4.png

Struggling manga author Satoru Fujinuma is beset by his fear to express himself. However, he has a supernatural ability of being forced to prevent deaths and catastrophes by being sent back in time before the incident occurred, repeating time until the accident is prevented. One day, he gets involved in an accident that has him framed as a murderer. Desperate to save the victim, he sends himself back in time only to find himself as a grade-schooler one month before fellow classmate Kayo Hinazuki went missing. Satoru now embarks on a new quest: to save Kayo and solve the mystery behind her disappearance.

7. Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash (Hai to Gensou no Grimgar)
if51RD4.png

Haruhiro first awakes in complete darkness. He doesn't know where he is, how he got there, or even where he's from. The people around him are just as lost. Beyond the darkness is the game-like fantasy world of Grimgar, a land they've never seen before. With no memories, no money, and no special gifts, these individuals need to find a way to survive this harsh world they've been thrown into.

8. Myriad Colors Phantom World (Musaigen no Phantom World)
zICBjuj.png

In the near future, spirits and monsters are in full sight. A boy leads a group of people with special abilities as they plot against a massive organization that takes advantage of a certain incident and eventually know the truth about their world in the process.

When idol Komugi Yoshida comes across the injured mysterious creature going by the name of Usa-P she nurses it back to health. As thanks Usa-P turns Komugi into a magical girl with magical powers. Soon she’s fighting off masked goons, but that’s not all as on top of that more magical girls have also popped up to challenge her! if51RD4.png
yoVHwbp.png

A chance meeting intertwines her fate with that of the super-rich inventor, Uzal Delilah, and her adorable and grumpy companion, Clarion, who happens to be a cyborg just like Nene. Nene is thrilled to make a friend, but there's more to Uzal and Clarion—and the island of Cenancle itself—than meets the eye. When a super-powered terrorist threatens Cenancle, Uzal claims that the only way to avert disaster is for Nene to team up with Clarion and use their combined powers—abilities Nene never even knew she had.

14. Sekko Boys (Sekkou Boys)
zICBjuj.png

A new idol group that's really going to turn heads. With their chiseled pecs and stoney stare, you could almost mistake them for statues. Well, except that is exactly what they are. Saint Giorgio, Medici, Hermes and Mars make up the The Sekkou Boys and they're ready to rock your world.

15. Showa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu
zICBjuj.png

Drag-Rides are ancient armored mechanical weapons that have been excavated from ruins all around the world. Lux used to be called the strongest Drag-Knight, but now he's known as the "undefeated weakest" Drag-Knight because he will absolutely not attack in battle. Wasn't expecting this to be as funny as it is. Already love Kyoko and her OTT reactions to everything. The show has such weird, visual style of humor too, its going to be a great series for reaction faces and exaggerated expressions.

Hate Sho already. That dude wanted a mother to take care of him, not a relationship.

Wonder how they'll balance more dramatic bits later with all the comedy so far but great start and it looks like this will be an enjoyable watch.

Lain 10

"Are you a human dreaming of being a butterfly? Or a butterfly dreaming of being a human?" Episode reminded me a lot of that saying.

So it seems like identities/souls can cross between worlds, as characters seem to be able to differentiate between the "real" Lain and her Wired self. And the ideal of being a God or reaching a new stage of human evolution is to fully commit your physical and mental state to the Wired? Holy shit its a pretty deep concept.

The concept of a God in the wired is obviously whoever has the most control over the manipulation of information. Lain did some real scary shit here,
basically ordering and covering up multiple murders.

Fairy Tail ep.11-18
FTfLueH.gif
qsg8mQB.gif

This arc (basically the “Gray” arc) was really, really good. It gave us a ton of back story on Gray, as well as Natsu, their past relationship and a look towards how they will work together in the future. The whole fire and ice “opposites attract” theory works really well between these two and you can tell the show will probably (hopefully) focus on those two, along with Lucy and Erza in the future. The battle to save the village was pretty intense with some interesting twists along the way, but the ending between the celebration with the Demon villagers and the enemy “payback” was pretty damn good. This arc also gave us a couple future antagonists between that “strongest man” douche in the Fairy Tale guild and that blue haired dude that will definitely be in the coming arcs for sure. I hate the whole “corrupt organization” bad guy crap that the blue hair guy is going to represent, but I’ll take is considering the show has been really good on focusing on a good mix, of fun, humor, action and adventure. I always laugh when the show queues up the “hype” music to get you pumped up, it’s very tropey with Natsu, but it well done at the same time; he will definitely be OP in the suture, lol.

BTW, never do a Tumblr search for “Natsu x Gray.” All I can say is WOW…. I bet it would even make DTL blush….

Liking Dimension W, through I wonder how it going to end if it just a one season thing. I haven't seen Ep 9 yet, but I guessing they probably going to stick with the island arc to the very end, and call it.:p

Be nice if another season happens, unless the last couple episodes takes a dump.

Because of Toonami, I feel like I need to catch up with Dimension W. This looks like one of those where I want to rewatch to see if I missed anything.

Oh, and Mira is pretty neat.

STOP RIGHT THERE

And read this. Just something you'd like to know before going forward.

The openings to Fairy Tail change every 12 episodes. So once you get to episode 25, you'll get opening 3. By that point you'll still be on a particular arc, and the OP will show the contents of what's going to happen after that arc.

As much as I dislike spoiler culture, the OPs early on in Fairy Tail honestly do spoil the show to those who haven't read the manga.

The worst offender in this case is on episode 36, where OP4 starts playing and it shows you the arc that doesn't even start until episode 41.

So yeah, just giving you a heads up there.

Bleach has the most asspulls and EXPLANATIONS and speeches.
Bleach is awful. The anime is slightly better than the manga though, because it improves the godawful pacing and makes fights interesting. It's also a rare case where filler is often better than canon, but mostly because the canon stuff devolves into pure shit very quickly. But hey, at least it's easy to make fun of

As much as I like the OP and ED's for the show, I usually skip them , or just listen anyhow. I don't like that Fairy Tail wastes a extra couple mins for each episode as a refresh from the last episode, as well as a preview for the next. Thanks for the tip though, I know to skip right through them even more now...

I still love the backstory of that one fullbringer being "this watch is nice. It's my lucky watch. THIS WATCH MAKES ME A GOD! To prove this, I'll make it kill my wife. Oh shit I didn't actually want her to die!"

The Fullbring arc brought laughter from me. It was a shitshow, but I had a ton of fun, especially THAT TURN HEEL FACE!

I can't wait for them to animate the latest Bleach arc, if they ever decide to do so. It has the potential for a great hatewatch.

Hey guys, want more onii-sama? maybe it's happening.
https://twitter.com/dengeki_mahouka/status/706746384095948800

Big announcement for Mahouka is coming.

Kill me.

For Spring OT's

I know Metroid is making one for MHA

Which of the below do you think should also get one?

- Kiznaiver
- Mayoiga
- Ace Attorney (has anyone claimed this one yet?)
- JoJo (has anyone clamed this one yet?)

uhh, no I'm not. I can assure you someone has already claimed MHA and JoJo. I'll do Ace Attorney if no one else does. Would that go in gaming or off topic?

More like a "Total waste of everyones time" watch.

the gang gets in a new conflict, but this time the enemies are a group of humans with special powers rather than supernatural beings. The powers of the bad guys are less straight forward than usual, until we get to the fight with the final boss who happens to be a man who used to hold the protagonists current position with the afterlife agency he works for. At that point the fight is the same straight up power level shit we've grown used to. Now am I talking about Bleach, or YuYu Hakusho

I claimed Ace Attorney in the last thread and I've got the same question as you do. There's never really been an OT for an anime in Gaming before so I assume OT would be the way to go, but I'm not sure.

Yeah, it goes in the regular OT section

There is no claim in the OT, OT for either of them right now. Nintendoman picked up Ace Attorney
(http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=450653)

OTs for the gaming side and OT should be posted there so there is some order to it all. I would say claim one or try to find out who said they would do it and claim it....

The Fullbring arc is fantastic. It introduces a character whose power is to create bad fanfiction within the story and confronts Ichigo with a situation where beating up a bad guy wouldn't satisfy his savior complex. At least until the shinigami come to save the day and Ichigo gets to go back to being Number One.
