I swear this artstyle seems familiar. Doesn't this guy draw porn or something? I know nothing about the source material - hopefully its actually good & enjoyable rather than solely a vehicle for fanservice as those designs suggest. At least the cast seems to be mono-adults so that's a bonus.

Personal pro/con on the OVAs
Pro:
Will give you more Jojo RIGHT NOW
The 90s OVAs are awesome.
The 90s OVAs have incredible animation.
You could be watching new Jojo content this very second!
Con:
They don't completely adapt the story, so it gets pretty patchy.
The 2000s OVAs (which come first chronologically) are kinda boring.
Could interfere mentally with the TV series if you watch it right now.
Once you go Koyasu Dio, it's hard to go back.

This episode was interesting. As we see Toshihiko and Yuka figuring out how to make their relationship work, we see another dude fall in love with a Flesh Eater and end up getting killed. That final shot was really nicely done, even if I was expecting him to die. Liked how it mirrored the scene with them in bed earlier in the episode.
The octopus and business with Kazuma was weird. His hair changed color. I'm guessing he actually is part Flesh Eater, and for some reason eating octopus triggers his transformation.

There are 13 episodes, 7 from 2000 that adapt the first half of part 3 and 6 from 93 that adapt the second half (don't ask me why they did this either). While the animation in the 93 OVA is stellar and the 2000 one isn't bad either, a lot is cut out and screws with both the pacing and the character development from the part, including pretty much all of Joseph's best moments.
I would wait 2 weeks and just watch that before checking out the OVAs.

All the melos warriors are convinced ( why? who knows ? ) that they need to go to space to continue fighting
They go to space and the discover nothing basicly
They sacriface themselves one by one ( they all die except the hero ) so that the hero can get back to earth.
When the hero goes back to earth he confront the final boss who is ... a melos warrior
Now you remember matrix reloaded and the architect ? same thing here .. basicly
Hero chooses to refuse the offer and somehow manage to live on.
They go to space and the discover nothing basicly

Yeah, probably what I'll do. I mean, 2 weeks isn't that far off, and It'll give me something to watch once KLK,GBF/SF are all done.
When does the first Spring show start?
If you want to be technical about it, the first Puchimas S2 episode is right at midnight JST on April 1, I think.
Or if you count the Keroro flash anime, that starts tomorrow.
The real pain is when Part 3 ends and we have to hope the show keeps going. I need animated Part 4.

I wonder what sort of escuse they'll use for the setting.
Will the commander be voiced ? Will they go pushimas route ? will it be in a self aware universe ? Will they go the koihime musou route and forget any male in the anime ?

Part 4 is the bestest Part, they'd have to be fucking crazy not to adapt it after they've done Parts 1, 2 and 3.
Whether they'll continue on after Part 4 is another question, since it's all downhill after that (though I hope they do if only for the sake of getting to Jolyne, who had better keep her Miyukichi voice).
