whats the reason doe? paying for online when its free on PC?.
or having to deal with constant network updates and shutdowns.
I see no reason to own a console at that point if I can get xbox and ps exclusives on one platform. 2 or 3 games Sony releases a year that might take a while to make it to PC aren't a deal breaker. the deal breaker is having to buy a dedicated gaming machine , controllers, pay premium for console games that cost less on PC and pay for online.
Yes you pay for ps+ but you also get a lot of discounts on games with it, it includes several games at no extra cost a month, and other smaller benefits. You can regularly find it for 40 dollars for a year which makes it not too expensive.
In 2019 alone I think there was 1 time the network was down when I wanted to play and it last about 30 minutes.
Playstation games are generally cheaper than pc games. I can also buy used games, sell mine, borrow one, etc because the games are physically mine and even your physical pc games still use a cdkey. I can buy horizons zero dawn complete right now for 14 dollars on amazon and 8 dollars used on amazon, it will not be that cheap for it digitally on pc when it launches. Physical stores have sales, price drops and bonus offers more often than an all digital platform as well. Skyrim on steam right now is 40 but its 20 brand new physical on ps4 for the same game. So no, pc is usually more expensive than the playstation version and you actually get to keep the game that you can trade or sell later which gives it more value.
