I thought February was free? I put down to pay through PayPal and it specifically said the first payment would be on 01 March, but I've just got an email through saying £9.99 has just been paid.

Interesting new head of content for WWE Network. I don't know what this will end up meaning, which means things COULD get worse, but we'll see.

WWE® Promotes Lisa Fox Lee

STAMFORD, CONN. — WWE (NYSE:WWE) has promoted Lisa Fox Lee to Executive Vice President, Content, reporting directly to WWE Chairman & CEO Vince McMahon.

In this newly created position, Lee will be a key member of the company’s senior management team and oversee the strategic development and distribution of WWE programming and content across all platforms, including TV, WWE Network, WWE.com, WWE App and social media, where WWE has 450 million global fans and followers. In addition, Lee will oversee WWE’s Creative Writing team with all TV creative continuing to run through Vince McMahon and WWE Executive Vice President, Paul Levesque.

Lee is a seasoned television and media executive who has served in various positions during her 19-year career with WWE, including her most recent title as Senior Vice President, Network Programming. She has also held roles in Television Production, Programming, Business Strategy and Sponsorship Sales.
Steph has hired almost an exclusively female executive staff.

also 450 million global fans?

Since when?

Why can
Why can't they even get 1% of people to get the network?

While it may not be perfect, I'm enjoying the WWE Network and what it's currently offering. It's been fun to watch those early 80s shows from when I was too younger to see/remember them - those shows right before my childhood memories of wrestling ~89.

I've been using networkplaylists.com and just going through some of the top matches in each year. Enjoying the network for sure.

My debit card expired and I have received a new one but forgot to change it on the network settings before they cancelled me. Is it still possible to sign up at the US price even though I'm in the UK?
Seems to keep saying £9.99 rather than $9.99 now even with unblock-us.

I am really disappointed they don't have any of the old WWF Superstars or WCW Saturday Night. Those were basically the shows that drove all storylines during the 80s, so we really have no real connection between PPVs. Once the free month is up I may cancel until I know these shows are up.

Guess I'll stick with 95/96 WCW and 93-97 WWF for now because of the seasons of Nitro/RAW that are online.

WWE Network in Canada seems like a great deal. You get the TV Station so no streaming nonsense but now they also let you access the website.

Still making slow progress through Nitro, just made it to 1995 Halloween Havoc. Who in their right mind thought a monster truck 'match'/'fight' would be good television and made sense?

The rollout of old content is baffling.

They were steady with ECW Hardcore TV and World Class Championship Wrestling then all of a sudden stopped.

Then they put out that huge burst of ECW up to December 1996 and...nothing since.

Almost a year in and there's still barely any Attitude Era Raws or Smackdowns up.

There's plenty of 80s content up, so I'm OK for now! It would have been nice for some AWA, Memphis Wrestling & WCW from the 70s/80s too (even if it was the pits).

October - December 2000 is pretty fantastic.

Yeah, it's fun watching it as if you have no idea the company is imploding, and you can see who they're picking for what future roles. It's definitely interesting, who they were building for Main Event, and more.

Man, the search function for wwe is worse than neogaf's. For the life of me I couldn't find the shawn Michaels documentary via search.

Girlfriend is liking the Monday night was series and wanted to show her some other documentaries. She fell asleep while I was searching...

You can also go to Original -> Beyond the Ring and find it.

1996 was great. You can progressivly see the WWF transitioning into the Attitude Era. Sunny promos in bikkinis and Diesel acting as an early Stone Cold and how can you forget the Goldust vs Razor feud? The Attitude Era would have happend even if Hall and Nash never left. Also cartoon like characters were fadding out. No Doink And therest of thoseodd job gimmicks.

Way more progressive than WCW at the time

Yeah, this shit is kind of dirty. They know damn well Attitude era Raw/Smackdown and Nitro is the big draw when it comes to the back library and here we are one year in with barely any of that content available. Between that and the slow trickle of good original content like Rivalries, I don't think I'll be subscribing past Mania.

Except WWF ran most of their storyline through WWF Superstars during that time, and that show isn't up yet (for some bizarre reason). It's hard to keep up with WWF storylines through just SNME and PPV at that point.

Also some pre-84 news:
"So according to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling observer radio that based on what people in WWE have told him WWE isn't to intrested anymore in uploading pre '84 wrestling shows and even the 80's stuff if pretty iffy for them due to the general poor reception from subscribers. In other words not enough people were watching the old stuff on the network so they aren't intrested in really uploading much old school stuff now."

I can't say that doesn't make sense. While I love the very old shit and love watching very old matches, I realize most people don't.

I have a similar issue with some if the very early nitros whereas later stuff or wwf/e stuff seems fine

Ah that would explain Hogan having a match against Paul Orndorff for the title all of a sudden in '86! I'm not even sure how I feel about WWF 'The Big Event' show, it feels like a giant house show and the production is mental (even for the 80s) with strange cuts, flips & edits.

I have a similar issue with some if the very early nitros whereas later stuff or wwf/e stuff seems fine

It's good to know I'm not alone, but it's strange that it seems to be the older stuff that's buffering. No idea what would be causing that.

Hi guys, I've been trying to renew my sub since before Fastlane, but still can't login. It's just and endless loop of clicking login and my browser opening a new tab with the main wwe network page. The furthest I can get is filling in my account details and pressing submit, after this I get redirected back to the main page.
I tried every browser, cleared cache and cookies, used all the mobile browsers, pc, mac, at home and at work, but regardless of what I try it still keeps going around in loops. Last Friday I contacted support but still haven't heard anything from them, and this is really doing my head in. I've even tried creating a new account but that just causes the same issue.
I'm from Australia and was a subscriber when the service launched here so I really don't know what could be causing this.
Any of you had this before?

Just got done watching WCW World War 3 (1995).

Spoilers ahead but erm i guess they aren't spoilers 20 years later :)

wow, how bad was the 'main event'? Who thought it would be a good idea to have 3 rings crowded with people and then split screen it so you have a tiny screen of each ring where you can't see whats going on?

Well i guess you don't need to know whats going on as so many of them are stood around doing very little. Couple that with everyone just seems to go in and out of the ring whenever they feel like it and it makes it very hard to discern who is in and who has been eliminated.

I think they must have been paying people by the minute as no one wanted to be eliminated, he number of times people went over the top rope to crawl back in was criminal.

Anyway, the finish was very lame indeed, i suspect Hogan will get the title back, their was no big confrontation really between hogan or the giant so they wasted that opportunity (other than the giant dragging him under the ropes for the finish).

Also while I'm typing, what was the point of the yeti? He was literally eliminated in under a minute, stood around for a bit and then decided he had had enough and went away.

Anyway, really bizarre main event, didn't work in the slightest imo.

I loved World War 3s. In retrospect, it's shit. A shitty thing. But I loved seeing EVERYONE as a kid, absolutely everyone.
