I'm bothered by it. I could have waited 3 months and gotten Titanfall for free?
Hold on. Some of you people actually thought the Xbox One wouldn't get a price drop within 2 years of release?
A ton of people were calling a price drop within a few months before this thing was even released.
I don't want to pile on here, but MS seems to be saying "Hey if you didn't buy an Xbox or support us we'll reward you buy getting Titanfall for free! If you did support us too bad, cough up another $60."
Good thing the folks in the other thread didn't buy a console yet. I mean it's only been 94 days since launch. I get bundles and all, but the supposed biggest game launch this time of year for free.........for free?
33 days for me, feels bad man.My thoughts after absorbing this, having just bought my One 32 days ago and as an eleven-year LIVE member:
I think MS should now, without any doubt offer the One's digital download version of Titanfall at a substantially discounted price (say, $19.99) if not free to One owners. If they're giving it away for free to people buying One's now and I think some recognition for those who already bought a One in the launch window shouldn't be left hanging. Limit it to being available for the month of March or through April. Something like that.
When Apple dropped the price of the original iPhone 3 months after the iPhone's launch in the summer of 2007, they gave every early adopter a ~$100 Apple credit. When Nintendo dropped the price of the 3DS, early adopters were given free games to compensate.
You do have to do something here, Microsoft. It's poor form not to. Don't make your most dedicated salty towards you. If you want to boost PR and customer satisfaction, that's what you'll do.
It's not even the price of the game so much as it is the principle of the matter. I wipe my ass with $60 these days. See, many of us bought a One knowing the library was limited right now, but felt there was enough to tide us over until Titans were falling. You know, like how every early adopter does with almost every system. I think most expected some sort of good bundle or price cut around or after E3...certainly by Fall 2014...but E3 is 3 months from now and we would have understood. But moving on price cuts while still in the launch window...and including the one game everyone bought a One in anticipation of for free? Again, it's the principle of the matter. Leaves a bad taste in my mouth, and there aren't many things MS has done in my 11 years of LIVE membership and Xbox gaming to leave a bad taste in my mouth.
...
If not that, they should consider some sort of special program offering special discounts for that special core of gamers who bought a One before March, 2014. Something like the WiiU's Deluxe program.
So yea, something. Anything. But I need MS to respond with a bit of good will here for all early adopters.

I am also an eleven-year Xbox LIVE member. I got in on the very first day it was available for the Xbox. That's how I got my four-letter Xbox gamertag.
I'm sorry the timing of your purchase was so ... unfortunate. It's still early in the day, maybe Microsoft will announce some sort of deal for the early adaptors in the interest of keeping goodwill with their core customers.
500 is not free. They still have to buy the box...

I'm curious as to how many of these they're going to be able to push onto retailers. Most are already bogged down with existing stock. Last time I was at Costco, they had a pallet with about 60 on it. I don't see them throwing a Titanfall bundle pallet up next to it. Granted, Costco is a warehouse store so is a bit different. Most of these stores already have extremely limited electronics space.
As an early adopter, most of you should know this by now. It happens with everything that is sold. I bought my Truck when the new years version came out, 3-4 months later it was cheaper. That is how it is when you buy stuff. Really don't understand why some of you get your panties in a wad and feel entitled to something because you are an early adopter.
Another example....The Sony 55900A (Non 4k) was selling during the holidays for $2299.99, last week Best Buy had the same set for $1759.99. During the summer, this same set was selling for $2499.99 and when it came out in April or so it was selling for $2999.99. This happens with everything. Get over it.

Whats also interesting is that Costco is selling the system at a discount for $480 I believe. If anything for people wanting an xbox they should definitely buy it at Costco instead of other retailers.
Up for preorder on Amazon

Not to derail, but, if I pre-order this on Amazon, they won't charge till it ships, right?
If there are enough complaints, maybe MS will hear it and do something about it.
This sets a terrible precedence if MS does in fact release a successor to the Xbone. Why should I buy their console Day 1, as I have every other MS console, if there is a good chance to receive a price cut or pack-in game within a few months of launch?
This really leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I'll still buy Titanfall and have fun with it, but I can't help but feel taken advantage of.

Prefer an extra controller instead of Titanfall? Looks like retailers are getting creative to clear out old stock.

It's been less than three months and they are giving away their most hyped game of the last year. Wow.
If there are enough complaints, maybe MS will hear it and do something about it.
What complaints? This is what it means to be an early adopter.
Xbox One Day One adopter. I'm pretty annoyed by this since it was only 4 months. When Nintendo lower the price of the 3DS we got free GBA games and the Wii U we got 10% back. I feel pretty screwed by this move by MS. Glad I was able to spend $500 to help them stress test their game that everyone now gets for free now with a new system purchase.
Wasn't 3 months after release. Day 1 got boned.I mean why!? you can say the same thing about every other single bundle its been released... I bought my PS3 with the Uncharted 2 bundle, No one was bashing that bundle as far as I remember.
