No, 90 songs was never mentioned anywhere. That is just simply the number given by Takahashi when he said how many songs Sawano composed for the game. That had nothing to do with the CD release.

That's what I mean. If this game has 90+ songs according to Takahashi, why the soundtrack is only 55? I hate when they do stuff like this in soundtracks. Doesn't make any sense to me.

They never confirmed the OST will be 5 CD in the first place. Kinda sad though that the official OST will only have slight more than 1/2 of the total songs.

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere about it being 5 CDs... I'll post if I find it.

EDIT: They changed the info after the update. It says only 4CD now. Weird because CD 4 is only 8 tracks... And some songs have several versions like "in the forest". Kinda disappointed we won't get the whole soundtrack this time...

The 5CD part was a guess from VGMdb. And the number of tracks in-game is probably different from the soundtrack because Sawano put some of them together.

I haven't heard it, but that title sounds like an Aphex Twin or Auctechre track.

Well I guess we were kind of assuming we'd get the entire soundtrack on the Official Soundtrack release

He usually releases an OST II later, so that's a possibility to get the rest of the tracks.

Yeah, Takeda (the main writer) is writing the BLADE's Formation stories. Kazuho Hoda (brought in an a freelancer to help Takeda) is the writer of the 24-hour happy people story.

Thanks for reminding me that Xenoblade X was at last E3 as part of treehouse live. If that wasn't the case I'd have doubted seeing anything at E3.

We know it's definitely coming, and coming soon. The game is releasing April 29th in Japan... And they've indicated localization is going well (and that was a month or so ago). I was really surprised they didn't show it this Direct... but I guess they wanted to finish up the english voice recording and then give us a full pre-release trailer and generate some hype before releasing the game to us. I'm guessing we'll actually get it in August.
