EDIT: On a serious tip, I'd avoid using Nair. My roommate(s) use it and they say that the pain necessary for it to be effective is not worth it when compared to the instant but brief pain of waxing. I've not read much of this thread, but has laser hair removal been mentioned?

Yeah you can use a Bodygroom to clear the forest, but it you want to get rid of all the weeds then you most definitely need a traditional razor. I guess it can be a little anxiety-inducing at first, but if you're used to using a handheld razor then you really aren't going to slice up your junk. Just go with the grain at first and if you need additional trimming then go against the grain.

Hair removal must be a labour of love. There are no short cuts to a smooth behind. I prefer to pull hair by hair by hand. Its quite a fullfling, almost an tingeling feeling and the sensation afterwards is fantastical. And let me tell you im not the only one who appreciates the newly plucked me.

I'm a total sissy when it comes to pain, so maybe Nair isn't for me. Laser hair removal and electrolysis has been mentioned, but I don't want to think about that until it's for sure that I'm going to transition.soultron said:

Today I learned that leg shaving is serious business. :lol I didn't get the closest shave, but it was my first time doing it. Unfortunately, I nicked one of my ankles, and there was more blood than I thought there would be. Even with shaving my face, I've only had the occasionally nick here and there with a little blood.

Before somebody who isn't as soft-spoken says it first, coming into a transgender-focused thread and using "tranny" when in the very first post of said thread it points out that that word is offensive probably isn't the best idea.
That said, I probably see it like any other porn. If it's used to just exploit somebody, I'm not sure I'm cool with that. If somebody feels like they have to do porn to find worth or value, or in order to keep themselves from starving, that's sad.
If we're talking about people who find transgender guys or gals (at any step) sexually attractive, and we have porn based around that type of fetish that doesn't degrade the people involved, I'm perfectly fine with it.
Unfortunately, porn is an easy way for trans folks to make money and feel "loved", so far too many of them fall into it for all of the wrong reasons. It's also pretty obvious that a lot of this kind of porn is just built around the "freakshow" nature of somebody who is trans. Not to mention, of course, that TG porn often uses terms that aren't good terms to use in the promotion of TG people ("shemale", "tranny", "ladyboy", etc.).

I didnt see a mention of that in the first post, which I skimmed before I posted.
edit: looks like there's a user named "trannyboy15" cited in the opening paragraphs and explicit direction not to use the term except in the correct context. I just assumed the slang term "tranny porn" was the accepted, politically incorrect term for that sort of stuff, seeing as XXX rated stuff typically has an obnoxiousness about it.

No matter what, if you aren't trying to offend people, it's best not to use the word. Let me be clear, though: I am absolutely clear on the fact that you weren't trying to be offensive when you used it. The problem is, a lot of people don't know that there's anything wrong with the word, so they toss it around without even a second though. Including here on GAF. So, that's why it can be a touchy subject sometime.
