Rumour: Nintendo working on a Remaster for 2015

I would think Zelda would be delayed, but then I honestly don't know what they would launch as their holiday 2015 title.

Captain Toad, Splatoon, Kirby, Yoshi, Mario Maker, Zelda U, Xenoblade, Star Fox, Mario Party, and maybe SMTXFE, Devil's Third, and Fatal Frame.

I think all of these will make 2015 outside of SMTXFE which I don't think is a Wii U title anymore (if it exists).

I would love a remaster of Fire Emblem Path of Radiance. That game is really hard to find these days for the GC for a decent price.

Why are we assuming Zelda is not next year when that's the year they've given?

Donkey Kong: Tropical Freeze was announced as 2013. And Xenoblade and Shin Megami Tensei x Fire Emblem were supposed to be this year too. And then there was Wonderful 101 and Pikmin 3 at launch...

The turnaround from what they showed at E3 to a full release next fall seems really unlikely to me, that game seems like a prime candidate to be pushed back to the following spring. I'm guessing Xenoblade is their fall rpg-ish game next year.

Why? The game is still a thing of wonder. I mean, other than resolution it's perfect as is.

Plus we just had a 3D Mario game.

Because it deserves a HD port and would sell well. We could see a new 3D Mario in 2016/2017. It's just a remaster, it can come out 1 year or 2 years after the last true one.

One of the writers of that game just got sentenced for child porn. I have a feeling Nintendo's going to leave it buried, they've got Fatal Frame in their horror stable now.

Yeah, a shame since I never played it but after those news about the writer I wouldn't want to give them money, since he would get part of that money too. :/

Wildcard berths that can't beat teams without a winning record should have homefield advantage
With the SKU appearances, it could be Luigi's Mansion, Kid Icarus, or Majora's Mask.

Surprised at how few people are guessing Metroid Prime. Given the distinct lack of Metroid on the console, that would be my first guess.

Yes, that's true. But that doesn't mean we should assume every game will be delayed.

It's not great to assume that but you can't blame people for being skeptical about Nintendo releasing their games without delay. Wasn't W101 a launch window game?

With that said I don't think Zelda will see a delay cos that has to be their big holiday title

Donkey Kong: Tropical Freeze was announced as 2013.

It was definitely completed in 2013 according to Retro, just delayed to pad the 2014 lineup.

That won't happen for Zelda, which is already positioned as the front-runner for the big holiday 2015 game.

Not really a good comparison.

Is SMT X FE even still alive? Theres been almost no news about it for more than a year now.

Announced for 2015

Yoshi's Woolly World
Splatoon
Mario Maker
Project Giant Robot
Xenoblade Chronicles X
Kirby and the Rainbow Curse
Mario Party 10
Untitled The Legend of Zelda game
Untitled Star Fox game
Project Guard

Release Date TBA

Devil's Third
Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem

My vote goes to Metroid Prime (Trilogy??? that would be sweet). That is one genre that is really absent in next year's lineup.

I could have sworn that I heard Luigis Mansion was going to the Wii U as well.

Why would Captain Toad be delayed? It's practically just a Super Mario 3D World expansion pack.

Really? They confirmed it was still in development this past E3, why are people still going with this nonsense?

At E3 someone asked about it and IS said that development was on schedule or something. Pretty sure they just showed it very (very) early. Like, they had probably only recently come to the agreement at time of announce.

It's likely Kid Icarus Uprising HD because of the obvious integration with the Wii U Gamepad (aka control system)

If I had to choose, I'd do Metroid HD trilogy to wet my appetite for a 3d Metroid and save me the hassle of finding it at a decent price.

As much as I would like it to be that..... Trilogy really was that already. Rather have NEW metroid and a remaster of something else.

I'm hoping for Galaxy 1+2 or F-Zero GX. I could see Metroid Prime Trilogy getting the HD treatment, too. (With dual analog controls, please.)

Edit : Oh shit, what if it's Majora's Mask.

Guys...what if they're actually remaking Twilight Princess in the art style of the tech demo.

Well thats good to hear, hopefully in some time (maybe TGS) they show off some gameplay of it so that people can see its progress.

If we're talking big, I think it has to be Mario. It's too soon for another Metroid Prime remake, and they're not dipping back into the Zelda well so soon. The Galaxy games are right there, beloved, and could look stunning on WiiU. Plus bundling the two in one package is an easy sell.

Smaller titles like Xenoblade, F-Zero, and Kirby would be crowd-pleasers - but not big enough to hype.

Remakes and Remasters done by Nintendo is something to truly look forward! Hope this guy is right! Whatever the game they choose to give the HD treatment, I'm in! Even tough... I really would love to see Mario Sunshine HD, why not!? :D

A Nintendo WiiU game each month in 2015 sounds great.

This! And that could actully become true since the majority of Nintendo games announced at E3 are 2015 titles. HYPPEE!.

IdeaMan would know. If this guy says Nintendo will have a major release every month that's 12 exclusives next year pretty much. More realistically 9 or 10 though.

I'd be happy with Xenoblade, the Wii Zelda's or Metroid Prime Trilogy.

Maybe even a huge remake of OoT with the Wii U Zelda engine :)

That sounds like too much work.

One game a month sounds pretty great to me. I almost wanna play anything coming from Nintendo, so plenty of games to play.

How many Wii U games are scheduled for 2015?

Kirby
Captain Toad (delayed to 2015)
Xenoblade X
Zelda (maybe)
Starfox (that still needs a dev behind it)
Splatoon
FExSMT (lol vapourware)

Am I missing anything?
