Won't care at all if this is true. There's a LOT of games coming up I'm going to buy on the PS4 this year anyways.

05/27: Watch Dogs

06/03: Murdered: Soul Suspsect

08/19: Diablo III
08/26: The Evil Within

09/09: Destiny

10/07: Alien: Isolation
10/07: Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor
10/07: Dragon Age: Inquisition
10/14: Batman: Arkham Knight

TBA:

Lords of the Fallen
Rime
The Witness
Assassin's Creed Unity
The Last of Us Remastered

I'm sure there'll be more games announced at E3 for this year that'll I'll pick up too.

Hardly a disappointing year for the system without The Order 1886. I don't need exclusives to make it worth buying.

Didn't shin tweet a few days/week back about several games being pushed to 2015? If this gives RAD some extra time to make Order 1886 just as RAD as RAD promised, then it's for the greater good.

Wait, does Sony really only have Driveclub announced for this fall as far as big 1st party exclusives go?
Jesus Christ :(

I think the problem comes from the 1st party output for the PS3/PSV in 2013. Several major studios just released a game. That wasn't quite the case for the PS2 IIRC.

SCE in 2006

PSP
Ape Escape Academy
MLB 06: The Show
Pursuit Force
Daxter
Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror
Lemmings
World Tour Soccer 06
NBA 07
Gangs of London
Killzone Liberation
SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Fireteam Bravo 2
ATV Offroad Fury Pro
Neopets Petpet Adventures: The Wand of Wishing

PS2
MLB 06: The Show
Ape Escape 3
Tourist Trophy
NBA 07
SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs: Combined Assault
ATV Offroad Fury 4

Oft hope is born when all is forlorn.
So their holiday big games are Driveclub which was delayed from last year, and The Last of Us that came out on PS3 last year as well? Common Sony, don't be like this.

I personally don't really care, as I just decided against a PS4 and for a PC (I'll definitely get the PS4 at a later date), but that's still a bummer. :( Only interesting looking game for this gen so far for me.

well this pretty much confirm uncharted will be the big fall game, no way were they going to release 2 tps within 1-2 months of each other.
Big fall game of 2015, maybe.

I have a feeling we'll be getting Uncharted and Project Morpheus around the same time. That would be pretty big for Sony.

No way Uncharted is releasing this year. It's not even on their official list for 2014 as TBA. Add the studio changes at ND to that as well and I can't see it releasing anytime soon.

Guinness is a shite stout though, lad.

This sucks for those who are into exclusives, I really hope Sony has some gems up their sleeve, even if they're on a smaller scale.

I'm not sure if the recent videos were a fair judgement of the games quality but it certainly looked like it needs a lot more work. This is probably a good thing, I'll gladly take a well running polished package over something rushed out to make the Holiday season.

Just hope not much else for PS4 gets delayed.

UC4 is certainly not ready.

They probably have nothing, although TLG is possible.

If nothing, that might mean the Destiny marketing deal is saving them.
This is super disappointing, most of the games I wanted were third party anyway, but quite a few have been delayed:(. If Batman and Smash (for WiiU but still) get delayed this year would be the worst in a LONG TIME IMO.

So you would rather pay for an unfinished game than have it delayed a couple of months? You are the type of consumer that EA lives off of.

Nope, Im the kind of consumer that expects the game complete at time. Moving time or quality assurance variable is equally bad.

Eventhough the delay is disappointing, it's not like there won't be enough games to play for the rest of the year; TLOU, Driveclub, Destiny, The Evil Within, Alien: Isolation, Batman: Arkham Knight, Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, Dragon Age: Inquisition, The Witness, Rime, Helldivers... unless some of them will be delayed as well.

Reminds me of 2001, the PS2's first year in Europe, when all I played were multiplatforms; Shadow of Memories, Onimusha: Warlords, Soul Reaver 2, Silent Hill 2... and it didn't bother me then either.

This year is going to suck, isnt it?
I don't think that's the case.

The people who had nice PCs and bought PS4's are going to feel an extra sting, but personally I think the line up still looks nice, The Evil Within, Destiny, Dragon Age, The Witness, they all seem very promising to me.

PS4's 2015 to be PS3's 2009.

Honestly, I think all first party games are going to get crushed by the amount of third party games this winter.

Yep. Sending it to face the next Batman, Assassins Creed and Dragon Age is a suicide attempt...
February 2015 will be lighter on releases and the game is gonna benefit from a couple of extra polish months.

I completely forgot, hopefully Rime and Shadow of the Beast are this year :<
Those + The Witness, TLOU, Drive Club are enough for me from a first party perspective. Need to get Destiny as well, probably Dragon Age down the line.

The year of 3rd Parties. Destiny, Batman Arkham Knights, Reeeeeeeeeeeeeemasters, and the Crew. These machines are less than a year old, let em have the time to familiarize themselves with hardware.

Sorry but even very patient me has to call them out this time.

The PS3 was a pig to program for and late to launch yet ND still managed to get Uncharted out a year after launch with 70 staff.

The PS4 was touted as being much easier/quicker to program and WWS are a very experienced bunch.

I read this article on DriveClub's problems the other day and was like how did it get to that point?

http://videogames.virginmedia.com/n..._driveclub_for_failing_to_hit_ps4_launch.html

Maybe Shu is pushing them too hard and burning them out? Or the devs themselves are being too ambitious? *shrugs*

I really believed that a bomb was going to dropped at E3 with a big release this year out of nowhere, a bit like they surprised everyone with the TLoU reveal.

Not now.

Fixed. It's almost as if people are looking more forward to firmware updates than games.
I'd take a good ole' 3D Bluray update over any single exclusive.

Didn't latest reports indicate that The Evil Within is awful? I would really like that to not be true, but it's difficult to be optimistic.

If this is true, Sony's Fall 2014 lineup is just unacceptable. As far as exclusives go, they have DriveClub. That is IT. A sub-par racing game that will be inevitably outclassed by the yearly Forza release. Everything else is multiplatform. Unless they have secretly been holding near-release games for an E3 reveal (which would be the most absurd business decision possible).
Microsoft's not doing much better, but at least they have Sunset Overdrive - which actually looks like it will release this year.

They also have the heavily-rumored (and effectively confirmed) Halo Remaster & Forza Horizon 2. We also still don't know if Quantum Break is this year or not. (Unlikely, but worth mentioning)

You don't know that Driveclub will be a below average title, but we do know that multiplatform titles (you know, most titles that get released) will probably look and/or perform better on PS4. These games drive sales, so Sony will be fine and can allow a game like The Order to get properly developed.

It never had a release date though.
Sony and RaD stated 2014 more than once.

Expected and if it's February then I'm fine assuming it turns out to a good game. I'm hoping in 2015 Sonys first party output starts to turn the corner and get going. They've been slower on output then expected. Not like MS is doing much better but still.

Well when you look at it. PS3 had a lot of first party games late in its cycle. Couple that with these final dev kits not being a year old. Devs just need more time. That's fine in my book.

E3 will tell a lot this year about the state of these consoles. If MS comes out with all these exclusives and games ready to go for the Holiday season and PS is still in delay mode that will definitely hurt them big time. Hopefully this isn't the case.

If a game slated for 2014 doesn't have a set month/season yet then don't expect it to come out this year.

So yeah... I would say to not expect Quantum Break this year.

2015 is going to be great. May be this gen's 2007.

My foolish hope is that we get a release date during that video they're supposed to be putting out soon but deep down I know it won't happen :(

Not sure who else is serious but I still genuinely believe in The Last Guardian. I think the (re)announcement->release time for that one will be a short one.

TBH we've actually had a pretty damn good first year this gen compared to old ones. I know delays suck but people really are expecting AAA games to be released every month.

The 3rd parties will take care of the gaming situation this fall like they ALWAYS do. The casual gamer who goes out and buys consoles will get their AC unity, Batman, Madden UFC, NBA2k, COD, Dragon Age to fill their needs. They'll be happy.

Yes, you get it. The 3rd party games will be the biggest driver of sales this holiday season. Sony will continue to push it's exclusive content for Destiny and Assassin's Creed: Unity and the PS4 will have the best console versions of CoD: AW, Battlefield: whatever, Dragon Age, Batman: Arkham Knight, etc.

BiGBoSSMk23

A company being excited for their new game is a huge slap in the face to all the fans that liked their old games.
If the end result ends up being like Driveclub then let them have their delay.

Yep - ITT people forget about third party games on PS4.

Like we'll have nothing to play...

Ha, you must be new to gaming. It is normal to see delays.

Yeah, i know its normal. Im on software development industry, so i know its common that these things happens. But ill never justify a delay telling my users that its benefitial for them. Its an ackward way to justify mismanagement.

Sony
Driveclub
TLOU Remastered
God of War Ascension PS4 (rumor)

Microsoft
Halo 2 Anniversary (rumor)
Halo Master Chief Collecton (rumor)
Sunset Overdrive
Forza Horizon 2 (rumor)

I find it incredible, ridiculous and hilarious that Nintendo has the best 1st party output for the rest of the year:

Hyrule Warriors
Bayonetta 2
Super Smash Bros. for Wii U
X

That's console only, they'll put out stuff for the 3DS as well. Also they're probably going to release some unannounced game, just like they did with 3D World last year.
