Also got Joe Danger and will get Don't starve when available. PLUS dangan rompa! Too many games on vita. And I still need to finish The swapper. Which turned out to be pretty awesome so far.

I started playing Velocity Ultra recently and it's pretty fun. Definitely looking forward to downloading Velocity 2x tonight. Although I may beat Velocity Ultra before moving on to 2x.

I feel like the PS4 trophies have to be boinked right now.

Decided to show these devs some love considering we're getting this game for free, so I picked up Ultra around 2pm EST. It is now 4pm EST and I have been perfecting each level. I will platinum this game. I WILL.

Review copies and you have to have started the game to be included in the trophy stats. Prior to today the trophy stats were very high. We got it about a month ago. And a few early codes were given away, too. For a sample, I beat the game first week of review, and as of yesterday I was only 55 on the leaderboards. I was #2 first week.
Probably a silent majority that shuts up and enjoys the PS+ titles, and I'm sure the actual reviews will help out a bit too. It's getting well deserved high scores even from larger publications like Verge, Eurogamer, IGN.
So good to see this game getting these awesome scores.
I am sadly sure, in the end it won't matter much. Most of the people complaining like crazy in the PSN+ thread won't give this a chance. No way to talk sense to people that have these crazy unresonable exceptions.
Either way I am absolutely happy for FutureLab, absolutely hoping this PSN deal works well for them.

If I could be bothered to maintain a block list, the September PS+ thread would be packed with candidates.
There's been positive buzz for this game from a mile off, so glad the finished thing doesn't have any nasty surprises.

It's not quite a shmup. It's...very hard to describe. It's like Sonic if Sonic where properly designed around maintaing speed and sense of flow. And Sonic were a sci fi space ship and controlled vaguely like a shmup. Okay it's not THAT much like Sonic. But it's based around a sense of speed, but I hesitate to call it a "speedrun" game because it's actually extremely accessible, but not to a fault. It's forgiving, but not easy.
The Critical Urgency track is my fav.

WOW, what a great get for PS Plus. This game looks awesome. Downloading now.
Unless it's significantly different from Ultra, it's not really a shmup in the classic sense of the word.

Would not expect a PS3 version, platform is basically done for indies.
Controls would be a bit complex but workable for an arcade setup, you need one stick for movement, optional but ideal second stick for bomb throwing, otherwise it works for 6 button controls if you have the right 6; Vita is basically a 6 button setup for it. 8 might be just slightly more ideal. I still don't understand where PS4 arcade stick support is right now though. Plays great with a DS4 or Vita though.

Look at those damn scores! Not surprised, given how awesome the original Mini was. This should be more of the same but on a different level. So excited for the PS+ update (EU).
