On one hand, Lewis' choice of neck decoration looks well out of place. On the other, F1 has never had anyone that would even listen to hip hop, let alone wear something like that.

He can turn up with gold teeth and spinners if he wants, just do the business between the white lines.

Meanwhile not a good news for Jenson:

That's their 2015 nose, right? It's a bit of a shame to see that their take on the nose didn't pay off. I've always liked a more creative interpretation of the rules (same reason I liked the nose on the BMW back then). Of course that doesn't necessarily mean that the Mercedes design is an instant win, as Ferrari's concept is similar, but nowhere near as good.

Marca says Alonso has a contract with McLaren, but as he wants to drive for Mercedes they won't make any announcement until the Mercedes lineup is confirmed. lol

I don't know. Holding out for a Hamilton meltdown could turn out to be the smartest thing he has ever done in F1.
I think under Whitmarsh's McLaren it was bound to happen, he seems freer in Mercedes without the Dennis OCD controlling him. Granted who knows what's going to happen, but considering how Mercedes actually want him there and he's got a pretty good mentor in Lauda I don't see him leaving.

Another Thurs & another round of cryptic Alonso: He "more or less" knows where he's driving in 2015; "Very ambitious plan" for his future

@f1enigma: Bloomberg : Russian billionaire Viktor Kharitonin agreed to buy a majority stake in the Nuerburgring.

Good news?

@adamcooperF1: '@Ericsson_Marcus is in the Austin paddock - using a pass provided by Swedish TV, rather than Caterham

It's pretty crazy that he needs to use a pass provided by Swedish TV to get into the paddock.

Yes I know where I will drive next year. More or less.

---

I am doing the best for my future and for the future of Ferrari. At the moment the last three races have priority. I want to help Ferrari to improve in the WCC.

---

It is improbable that I will not drive, but I think the damage would be small. The rules will stay the same. And look at Kimi, he was not here for 2 years and was quick immediately.

---

In my head I have many ambitious plans. Everything I have intended for the past 3 months is going according to plan. It just was delayed a bit due to Bianchi's accident. If my plans come to fruition, everyone will understand why I decided the way I did.

---

You cannot talk about surprises anymore. The many rumours which are floating about have covered all possibilities.

---

Maybe I was not always at the right place at the right time during my career. But in the past 5 years at Ferrari I gained a lot of respect. Respect which I did not have yet in 2009. This is worth something, because nobody can take it away from me anymore.

so he's been working on his plan for 3 months but bianchi's crash delayed things, wasn't bianchi rumoured to be going to sauber in 2015? him and fat flav must be buying their own team? sauber or marussia?

returning to mclaren doesn't seem like an ambitious plan to me.

Why would he buy a team this late in his career if he's going to win that illustrious third title? I could see him doing that once his career as a driver is over though.

to win his third title in his own car? it now makes sense, all this alonso has a contract with honda talk, it wasn't about him getting a drive with mclaren, it was for a supply of power units for his own team.

alonso
briatore
brawn

dat ambition

Damn, I thought Brabham was to be the last to win a WDC in his own car.

With all this trouble with Marussia and Caterham in trouble, the 3-car idea has been discussed again.

How about this, Alonso maybe hoping for 3-car teams and then he'll get to race at Mercedes with Hamilton and Rosberg?

That would back up his 'when it happens, it will seem obvious' statement from a while ago.

I hate to admit it but Alonso's comments about his future are making me more and more hyped up about what he's going to do

"good for Ferrari"????

Are we making weekend predictions yet? I've got a gut feeling that Hamilton isn't going to finish the race this weekend.

Yes I know I've been saying that every weekend since Australia.

Just read about ericcson to sauber.
I guess they can use the money. Hope they have a better car next year. They seem to have shift the development focus quite early this year. Still hope they get a point in the remaining races as that makes quite a difference when it comes to FOM money.
