Obsidian games always have some redeeming qualities and reviews should be mostly ignored. But read up on some tips for Alpha Protocol. The stealth system is particularly broken so I suggest digging up old threads about it. The shining star of that game is the conversation/character/choice system.

Ah, so it was an across the board deep discount then... I grabbed one of the last few on Play Asia over the weekend, mega savings to be had. Effectively ended up paying less for both the Nyuu Nyuu DX set for SK2 + US Shinovi Versus LE with shipping than the original price of the NN set on its own!

Today was an amazing day for new releases... Well worth braving the crazy lines at the local game retailer.

All mah children be eatin' well tonight! (well, except for the PS3.)

And heres the tshirt and bobblehead that came with FC4. The Unity preorder stuff (artbook, guillotine bottle opener and tshirt) were way better, despite the game itself being an embarassing technical disaster.

Edit: the aforementioned previous day's haul. That bottle opener has already done time at a boozefest, useful tchotchke.

It does, you made the right choice. I bought the PS2 version after wanting it for years, played about 5 hours before I just had to stop. It has brutal slow down when there is more than 3 people on the screen... in a game that has a party set of 4, not to mention towns lol. And the spells look like paper cutouts for w/e reason on PS2. Vastly better on the dreamcast.

Grabbed Bravely Default, and preordered Pokemon Sapphire for $60. Though sad now that a week later that pricing error could have gotten me a WiiU instead. le sigh. Also broke my digital only streak.

I got back from Japan a few days ago to find my Neogaf account activated. So hey Gaffers, long time lurker, first time poster. Always loved lurking through this thread and seeing what people were buying. Anyways, to mark my first post here, I'm going to show you all what I bought back from Japan.

I'll start with my absolute favourite pick up from Japan.

A hand painted frame of Mei and Satsuki from the Studio Ghibli Musuem. Cost me around 400$ AUD but totally worth it.

Grabbed a New Nintendo 3DS. I've been meaning to grab a Japanese system for import games for years now, so finally bit the bullet and bought the new system.

That's most of it, there is some other stuff I haven't got photos of yet though.
