Are you using a mail server level spam filter that might have decided you were getting too many of them so they had to be spam?

No, just another mail provider (web.de, Germany) that redirects to my gmail account and I think I've checked everything everywhere, filters, spam folders etc. If it stays like this I'll change my Steam address to my gmail one and see what happens.

They were more talkative. They said they learned that people were less pissed at them if they said nothing at all, rather than talk about something that would not come to fruition.

Congrats fans. You did this.

Valve's inability to commit to anything is no one's fault but their own. Their fans have absolutely nothing to do with this fact.

Also, if you think Valve has ever listened to their fans... well, you're out of your mind. Their oft-lauded customer support system is proof enough of this.

anyone ever heard of divine souls?

i just got an email from them thanking for participating in their beta (??? i do get a lot of beta and stuff invites because i guess people love me) and it has souls in its name so hmmm

In my personal opinion, devs have been getting away with murder for the past few years when it comes to Early Access. If you're making a game, and you don't have a clear completion date or feature set in mind, then you don't have any business charging customers for "what could be". Obviously, given the rate at which Early Access games are being completed - consumers are being fleeced. In my opinion, Valve needs to step in.

The nature of any business is a careful evaluation of risk vs reward. Making games shouldn't be a magical gravy train that lets game developers get paid to do nothing.
well that's why i'm saying something that's more in between. like i said, you have to set a release date and you just have a bit of an extension window in case your game gets pushed back (which happens all the time for indies, aaa's, pc and console and from the 80s to today). if you miss the date and the extra period then your game's out of steam, which basically dooms the game as far as reachability on pc is concerned, but you had every chance to get it on steam and can blame no one but yourself.

if you get the money on game release you're just balacing around the very worst cases of straight scammers and such. you're not really helping indies to get their games out which is kind of the point of early access.

i'm not saying don't do anything, just do something that actually makes it useful for devs. devs do early access because it brings in money, so money part has to stay if early access is meant to exist at all. so what you can do is be more strict on release dates and maybe prices and do a bit of quality control in greenlight and all that shit.

They were more talkative. They said they learned that people were less pissed at them if they said nothing at all, rather than talk about something that would not come to fruition.

hl3 teasing doesn't count as talking tho

It's both. You have really outspoken fans that criticize every move and you have a company so self-involved that it can't listen to legitimate criticism.

I just glanced at some of the Denuvo threads over at bioware forums.
It was a mistake, those threads, man. I didn't know Bioware had such rabid fans.
I'm never getting those braincells back.

That SSD stuff sound a bit nuts though. I'll be very curious if anything comes of it.

it's begun

Wait, you can tag people on Steam?
Damn it, why didn't I know this?

Alright I'm loosing it now.

These Grand Theft Auto IV games (including the episodes) are flat out not working on PC. That resolution and aspect is terrible.

Uninstalling unfortunately. :(

And yet, they talked about Steam Machines.

This was a joke.

I think the last COD:MW I played was MW1. I really enjoyed the campaign - though I got kinda dizzy playing through some of the stages ><

so I guess MW:AW gets a yes from both of you?

I'm only considering it cause of the russoland pricing :X
Yes, besides, it won't go lower than 50% off in the next 10 years.

so Dragon Age is pretty fantastic and all, but these 30fps cut scenes are absolutely brutal.
Well, the actual gameplay fps is not much higher with my GTX770, so I don't mind it that much.
My attempt at recreating Daenerys's face after nearly 2 hours of work.

I had this but I accidentally scrapped it, hair styles are all horrible.

did you try the "fix"? its a bit stuttery, but I feel it helps,at least the transition from action to cutscene isnt so jarring

in case you dont know, the "fix" is:

on origin, go to Dragon Age Inquisition and click configuration options or whatever its called (Im not home I cant check), but theres only 2 or 3 things you can click there anyway

it will open a new window where you can, like steam, set launch options for the game. put this in there:

-GameTime.MaxSimFps 60 -GameTime.ForceSimRate 60

It's like they have genuine Frostbite models and textures for the face, but just lifted some hairstyles from the Sims 4. I don't get it.

(In general, not yours specifically.)

as Jawmuncher pointed out earlier, its the Mesh option that dictates how the hair looks, on ultra hair looks better than that. not much better mind you, but im used to hair in bioware games being shit (especially compared to what modders come up with)

YES. YES THEY ARE.

I'm so mad. There's more bald, buzz cuts, and stuff than anything else it's so annoying.
Not to mention as I posted earlier if you lower meshquality the hair turns into plastic.

is this a known thing?

I got the steam overlay working. Exit origin and add origin.exe as a non steam game. Then play that and when origin opens any game you open will have the steam overlay. Works with all origin games.

because it will greatly help me

Isla Nublar has a rich and intriguing past, something that the website does not shy away from. Discovered first in 1525 by Spanish explorer Diego Fernandez, Isla Nublar existed long before Dinosaurs walked upon it’s surface. Nublar was once populated by an indigenous tribe, known as the Bribri*, who were displaced by various explorers, and finally entirely relocated by InGen in 1987 for the Jurassic park project. Further, Isla Nublar still hosts a wild population of indigenous wildlife such as a large variety of birds, and the Elaphodus cephalophus nublarus (Nublar Tufted Deer). Masrani Corp has established strict regulations protecting the local flora and fauna, with energy conservation projects, clean waste removal and a large recycling project.

*Fun fact: the inclusion of the Bribri tribe means Jurassic Park The Game is canon.

Damn it, why didn't I know this?
it also uses tags when searching so like if stupid arthea here names her ass "suikoder" in steam i can just tag as "arthea" and search that and have a life apart from memorizing stupid other names

so like always i'm here to spread knowledge and wisdom to y'all

that doesn't look right :I

My Fallout New Vegas character is Johnny Depp, and I didn't notice until today.

How are people playing DAI?

Huh. Company of Heroes: Ardennes Assault is just DLC for Company of Heroes 2. It's not listed as such.

With Jurassic World coming out next year it's just not possible.
I'll have waited 14 years when the movie comes out and brings dinosaurs back to the spotlight.

Bioware has always been terrible with hair. The hair in the latter Mass Effect games all looked like giant plastic helmets.

Someone needs to go to Bioware HQ and show them what real human hair looks like, so they can get it right next time.

I warn everyone to tag me with my GAF username since I never use it on Steam and have been known to rapidly change names 20 times in one night if the mood strikes me. Old CS habits die hard.

Yep, makes everything so much easier to search for...

Ah, there I am now! Though with an older avatar. Vintage SteamGAF~
