Everyone needs to do this.
The locations look beautiful especially the one on cliff face with the party being surrounded by a lake. The graphics are actually pretty.
That female armour design is freaking amazing and that electric fish x dragon......I need this game.

Well it looks nice. I just hated the combat and gameplay in general, so this is off my radar since it looks exactly the same.

Yea I can't watch Youtube right now, that's just my impressions on the pics. They look horrible. I'm sure it looks better in the video but I haven't watched it yet so can't really comment. You guys are acting like I'm dismissing the game
The assumptions you make man, I don't own an X1, just a PS3 and a PC. I was just saying what I thought of the screenshots.
I don't really know what to say to this lol, I just said what I thought of the screenshots sorry if you think I'm trolling or anything.
I'll think about it this way: F2P but I'll put down $60 worth of Microtransactions to play this game. Cost of a normal game on release for me anyways, but this being one of the most important releases in some time for me in gaming. This is exactly what I've been wanting to play again and no other developer can provide it.
Well, from what I heard their Deep Down monetisation plans were atrocious, so I'm remaining cautious until we know how things turn out.

I don't think this is a "real MMO" though. It looks like it's more Destiny/PSO than something like WoW.
Like Warframe. If I want to just play the game and advance don't roadblock me. If others want to pay to advance I don't care, it's co-op after all. If they can make me want to give them money then they've won.

There are more bad games than good in general. That doesn't mean you assume evey game that gets announced is going to be bad.
I'll be sure to give this a shot when/if it comes out in the west. I didn;t really like the demo for the original, but I'm almost certain that as just because I went in expecting something like MH.

So if Capcom doesn't publish the game in the West is it possible for Sony to publish or co-publish it in the West? Kind of like when Sony didn't publish Demon's Souls in the West and Atlus did.

I've played some F2P games, had fun for maybe a week or so and then moved on to the next thing.
Didn't cost me a dime.
Currently enjoying Hearthstone and threw some money at it as well, i'll probably move on from that as well soon.
There is no harm in a F2P model unless you want to play the "I'd rather have..." card.

yeah there's a chance. But nothing is stopping Microsoft. Sony is already having something with Deep Down if MS doesn't snag this they'd be stupid.
I don't care either ways I own all three consoles, but I would prefer Sony.

hell you cant even pay to have an advantage. You can buy a shiny prime weapon/frame if you want to, but you still need to go rank it up and get your hands on some mods to actually make it worth a damn. The people who put time into the game always come out ahead no matter what.

The last couple of DD threads have been moving too fast for me but is it confirmed Sony is helping with funding?
Ono made a comment in the Famitsu interview that Sony are cooperating with Capcom on the development of DDO.

I think i still prefer the Souls style when it comes to armour design but i also love the DD style.Before i first played the vanilla game i was a bit critical on the game's art style but after i experienced it first hand i was really impressed how everything was designed in such a cohesive style with everything else in the game.And of course as you progressed in the game (including the BBI content) you were finding better looking armor as well.
And not to mention that it had the best character editor i had seen in any game.And i think it remains the best.

probably going to be the same, since i believe the game was optimize just to run the way it did back when it was released (time to use mystic knight and spam that orb attack, multiplayer style)

I think that would be awkward since Capcom is a publisher in its own right whereas From Software is just a developer as far as I know.
In Warframe if you want to play for free you can. There was a guy who wouldn't give the devs any money as a matter of principle but he was out there playing. There is only one thing I think that you had to actually pay plat (the real money currency) for but even then you could make that plat in the in game economy and never shell out a dime. Obviously we hope not everyone plays like this or the devs go out of business.
Yeah that's true also. Even if you pay you still needed to level up, rank up, find the mods etc. You still need to actually play the game and put some time in. Warframe really hit the nail on the head for me as far as F2P goes.
