I...see...so they are reusing old stages...in a medley game that's celebrating everything about Tekken(like TTT) it fits...but...i dunno, i'm kind of used to new stages atleast in every numbered game.
Need some direct feed & in motion footage, but it's looking pretty nice. I wonder how many characters they plan to reveal, if there are only 20 starters.

- No EWGF so far
Some great shots, thank you. Wonder how long we'll have to wait until we find out who the time-release characters in the game will be?
I need Lee. <3

First footage of that "both characters can play on the same side of the screen" thing!
Is this going to be the first Tekken game ever that ships without Nina? I know they're doing a beta launch first, but it doesn't seem like she will make the cut next week.
They better have a decent redesign for her.
Is this the full roster or are there unlockables? Or if I can be allowed to be direct with my question, where is my Jin?

Oh good. Without Jin/Devil Jin I would have lost my mains. It did feel weird not to see them in a tekken game. They are going to be doing time release characters over the coming months. Keeps things exciting and all. Expect significant additions.
It'd be cool if the unrevealed characters got Kazuya/Lars-level new outfits/designs. As it is, only Kazuya, Lars, Law, Hwoarang, and Xiaoyu got any changes at all, and the latter three were very minor things.

Which is why I'm not at all excited for T7.
I miss the days when each Tekken felt different from the last, a breath of fresh air each time.
It's like they can't (or rather don't want) to exit the T5 bubble. This stagnation is pretty disappointing stuff honestly.
Rumor has it, that he won't be in the final game.Guys, will Lee be in this?
No. Hwoarang will have to do. They are getting rid of clone characters now that the roster will be limited to around 38 characters. This is bullshit, Hwoarang should wear his traditional Taekwondo outfit as default.
Also any chance of Baek being in the console versions?

Yeah, this is really disappointing.
Don't get me wrong, the game looks great, but there doesn't seem to be any real changes from previous incarnations.
Shaheen looks pretty awesome in motion, with all his flowing clothes. His animations look really great too, it's too bad they re-use so much of previous games for older characters.
Mk went through dark ages where there games were either bad or too similar to previous entrees. Mk9 came out and brought back old players and brought in New players and ended up selling 4 million copies: more than any single tekken game has sold since t3.To be honest, I don't think there's anything they can do to attract new players or rope lapsed players back, en masse. As disappointing as it is, the game has a "7" in its title: the reserved approach just makes sense. Don't invest too much into development and just continue to keep the dedicated base happy from here on out, and Tekken should remain a profitable franchise for at least another 5 years. There's no point in trying to reinvent the wheel. They should probably just consider Madden-style annualized updates at this point.
That said, the true disappointment is the vacuum present from no new IP from Namco's fighting game devs, period (outside, maybe, Pokken).
