Battlefield: Hardline has gone gold

Why?

To be fair I'm not getting the game day one (first console BF I have not done so) but I don't think it will be a disaster.

I don't know. Something about the residual bad will from Battlefield 4, the unintentionally really political theme, and the general b-game vibe of it. I LOVE Battlefield, but I just have a not great feeling about this.

So no day1 patch? I'll be (pleasantly) surprised if it's the case and will consider it an achievement!

At this point, no day 1 patch would just be a guarantee that a game is broken and they couldnt fix it in time for release

Thats the world we live in

You mean bank robbers with grenade launchers?

Just a question.

Am I the only one that has noticed this?

As a diehard veteran of the series who has put hundreds of hours in every entry I have no enthusiasm about this one. Granted those reload animations were nifty, but this concept already feels played out. They aren't going to win the payday crowd, and the taste of BF4 still lingers. I love BF, DICE and Visceral but there's something about this game that just feels off the mark to me.

This mirrors my thoughts.

Are we looking at a bomb here? Or just a BF game that still does well sales wise but maybe underperforms relative to earlier BFs? Personally I have zero hype for this game and don't know anyone else who is hyped for it either. It'll be a bargain bin purchase for me at some point down the road, maybe after all the DLC is added in a premium edition and I can pick the whole thing up for $30 or less.

I don't really know where to post this and since I'm a junior, I can't make a thread, so I'm dropping it here.

For everyone interested, someone fucked up and Battlefield Hardline Ultimate Edition (PS4) is now 129.99kč on the Czech PSN Store. That's like 6 dollars. I have absolutely no experience with buying stuff this way, but I know that these sorts of mistakes sometimes appear here.

Don't know how long until they fix it, but as always, it's better to grab it quickly. Making a Czech PSN account takes like two minutes after all.

Did this need a thread? There's like 6 people hyped about this.

One of those people reporting here :p

Loved the beta, found it to be fantastic fun and am looking forward to the full game.

However I will not buy it until I know it works, I got burned with BF4 so waiting to see.

It will work. I am sure of that. Visceral has a MP code running for about 2 years now. First focus for them was stability they said and the gamechanger program also were really vocal about that. CTE helped alot and if the beta was any indication. It will be a smooth launch. Didnt crash ones during the beta or anything else. Played for about 20 hours. But i understand people who wait.

In regards to the czech offer.

Assume they notice, they probably will, but I did the check-out with the price error-price. Would they be able to charge me the original price lthough I never agreed to pay that much? Or would the order be just cancelled?

I preordered and try to pay without adding funds. It gave me an error but added both BFH services to my psn profile. Still guessing I cant buy it from here? I would have liked to pay directly.

Can't imagine this doing very well after two poorly received betas and the catastrophe that was BF4 at launch. Best of luck to Visceral, though. This looks like the first Battlefield game that I will not be purchasing (I've bought them all since BF1942 back in the day).
I kind of feel the same way... just burned out and lacking faith in that series. I dealt with BF1942 being a screwed up at launch because that game was really the first of its kind and really pushed the boundaries of multiplayer. It was crazy playing in the 64 player.rooms on huge maps with a bunch of friends. Each game just.felt alive, fluid, and like almost any scenario could happen.

It doesn't accept foreign credit cards? Jesus, PSN always gets me confused.

Well, top-up is not a huge problem, JRC (Game.co.uk in the Czech Republic) sells top-up cards starting from 12 dollars. link It's in Czech only, but it works like any other e-shop ever, pretty self-explanatory. They'll send you an email with the code after it's done.

What I'd be worried about more is Sony handled pre-order price oversights in the past. The pre-order status of the game makes it a little more problematic.

So I pressed pre-order and pay and it errored out although I have an e-mail confirmation stating the price and what not. But I have no funds in my account, so what happens next.

I think you can't do that in Europe, atleast on the german psn it's like this. they will try to add funds from your cred cards on launch day

you can add funds to your wallet, but you can't pay the game with it before the release

Nah, way too risky/murky for me. I didn't plan on buying the game anyway. Welp, would have been nice, though.

Ah I honestly don't know, I tend to use PSN cards on other stores.

Did the same thing. I guess we can only wait and hope, but I imagine they will find out pretty soon and cancel out the order before they charge you on the 17-19th of March.

I just set up an account and used my Australian credit card and it worked, surprisingly. The screen told me it went through and the email told me it went through but I guess we'll wait and see.

If it works that's fucking awesome for around $10 and if not it doesn't matter as I already have it pre-ordered on XB1.

Check my post above but I am a bit hesitant to go through with it.

Yes, you can. But I'd personally hold off for a bit just to see if they don't cancel it until the 17th. I mean having two spare codes for 10 dollars combined isn't a huge disaster, but still.

And as far as I'm concerned, if you simply don't have the funds on your wallet the day they charge, they just block you from downloading the game and that's it, right?

Yeah I assume so, they have no way of getting the money from you so they proabaly just cancel your order.

Just saw this in the other thread. So far the pre-order went through so here's hoping they won't cancel it closer to release as they haven't charged me yet.
