Nearly every Xbone true exclusive or console exclusive have scores incredibly high (and the only one that didnt deserve it was MCC). I dont see the trend ending anytime soon either with Forza 6, ROTTR, QB, and Halo 5 coming. Crazy that MS will probably have a really good chance to beat Nintendo for average metacritic scores for exclusives.

Hmm. And stuff like MP 10, Tipping Stars , (Devil's Third?) likely won't be that high.

But on the other side there's Zelda, Xeno, Splatoon,

Yoshi, Star Fox, Mario Maker could really go either way.

The battle will be interesting.

(comparing console exclusive metacritic scores can actually be somewhat interesting as long as people don't get emotionally attached lol. Cause then....yeah)

So happy that Ori is reviewing incredibly well. I've been hyped up about this game since it's initial reveal trailer at E3 last year during the Microsoft press conference. So glad Phil Spencer made sure that the trailer was shown during that conference.

Everything about that trailer just touched me, the beautiful graphics, the haunting yet soothing music... only thing that left me curious was how the game would play. Fortunately, I was able to get my hands on with Ori at E3 last year and yup, they did it, the gameplay was absolutely sublime, felt like a Nintendo-quality game. Ori and the Blind Forest was my game of E3 2014. I've been tooting the game's horn ever since and with each released trailer, my feelings were being reaffirmed each time. I watched the first 10 minutes of the game video that was released a few months ago with my 3 year old daughter and it brought us to tears.

Thank you Moon Studios, for creating this game. I look forward to purchasing and playing this lovely title and hope it will be a masterpiece and become one of my favorite games of all time. I also hope Microsoft takes this IP and gives it a fair shake at becoming something even bigger.

Reviews look good. Was worried that this could be another art over gameplay game ala Limbo or Never Alone, but it seems I needn't worry too much.

Great reviews, looking forward to playing this! Sucks that I just unplugged my PC from the TV due to running of HDMI ports, I'll need to play on my small monitor.

gave away the keys to the kingdom.
I grew a little worried when Kotaku criticised the game for being short, but 12-15 hours is fine.

Wasn't expecting the game to be this good. Guess I'll have a new game to play Wednesday, and congratulations to Microsoft (for having the vision to get this) and especially Highmoon Studios for apparently making a great game.

I'm stoked to play it!

is this in the same vain as Children of Light and those type of games?

Not really. Child of Light is a quasi turn-based RPG.

Ori is a metroidvania, and from the looks of it a challenging one, which is a good thing. From what I've watched so far it seems like a cross between Rayman (hand-drawn art style, light platforming elements) crossed with Strider and Guacamelee (metroidvania elements, one large world), with a more emotional overtone and musical interplay than any of those, and possibly more challenging than all three.

Ori is made by Moon Studios, not High Moon Studios. ;)

Awesome reviews to wake up to!! There is a real opportunity marketing wise around this game as well, soundtracks, toys etc if they want that route, I'm just chuffed that smaller development teams are pushing out far more creative games than some of the big boys. Long live independent creativity. Can't wait.

congrats to Moon Studios. ive been looking forward to this games since e3 2014, so its reassuring to see this games receiving good review scores. will cop day one.

I'm not convinced Splatoon will do particularly well. I have more confidence in Star Fox (if it's even 2015).

It will be interesting to see where things stand at the years end.

Microsoft making good choices once again! Day one for me

So.... later tonight then? It goes live publicly at 5pm pacific, 7pm central, 8pm eastern.

I want a physical copy. I wonder if someone buying the bundle in .... Austria I think?.... will sell it on ebay. Unless it's just a download code.

I'm SO getting this on the 360 too whenever it releases there.

Awesome! This, Final Fantasy Type-0 HD (with FFXV demo), and Bloodborne will get me through till May with the Witcher. This year is already looking light years ahead of 2014!
