I choose my characters based off characters with more options and interesting frame traps.
This tends to be top tier characters. :x

Also getting hype for DKWill coming down to Hawaii! This image they chose for the event is beautiful.

Street Fighter Five, winner of the tournament plays against Combofiend using Charlie.

They hand out Charlie T-shirts.

Alternatively it could be Bison instead of Charlie.

Man this didn't even cross my mind. Shit, I really hope you're right. I am dying for some new SF5 footage.

Juicebox will correct me if I'm telling shit but I think KOF13 has the traditionnal OS from old KOF where you do forward/back + throw and if you're not at range or the opponent jump, your stand C/D comes out and it's often designed to be an anti-air when close.

Yup. Also, KOF13 at least accepts 626 as a DP input, so you can do hcf~b+P. With proper timing, it techs throws, blocks front-hitting jumpins and DPs crossups (only works with characters that don't have a hcb~f command grab tho).

Well, it's been 2 months since a new DLC package (coded named Watermelons) been added to the Steam Database for USF4. Can anybody here guess what this is? Capcom have yet to comment on it. Right now, it's sitting at 1.71 GB. At one point, it peaked at 2.42 GB before the size got shrunk dramatically.......

Final Round would be an appropriate place for another SF5 reveal.

Have a feeling there will be a drought closer to E3.

I still don't apply OS when playing games :(
.

Even if you don't apply OS, you need to learn how to bust it.

What I don't like about OS is how they usually degenerate a game from being more read-based to being more setplay-based. This doesn't happen all the time, but it happens often.

I've never liked situations where one side has zero risk for high reward. Even in oki situations, there should be risk, albeit heavily skewed in the attacker's favor. I didn't mind the meaties in VF, because while they were no-risk, they were low-reward as well. To get paid on a knockdown you had to take some risk.

I'm ok if the risk requires the other guy to burn meter, as long as it doesn't get ridiculous like it can in KOF98 or SFA2 where you can kill from quarter life just off guard cancels.

I don't see them allowing anyone touch that game right now (and I hope they stop parading it until they are deeper in development)

so it's like, a cross-gen port?

Not that I'm surprised. If anything, modders will fix it.

Yeah it's on par with their crappy Dynasty Warriors Steam ports... but hey if modders can get the Soft Engine in the game without a SDK... more power to them! Someone should go up to the roof and light the bat signal for Durante.

Dead or Alive 5 Last Round Steam Info was finally posted-

http://www.gamecity.ne.jp/doa5/lastround/info_steam_spec.html

No soft engine
PS3 ver particle effects
Extra stages not included

They did include the new hairs
4K support
Online still not coming for another 3 months

minimum specs are also pretty beefy... probably unoptimized. No wonder they waited until 2 weeks before release to finally speak up.

Really want to support 3D fighters on PC, but they make it so difficult....

I was going to express a similar distaste with my original answer about OS, but decided against it after some thought. Overall, I was unable to pinpoint what I specifically disliked about it that was exclusive to OS.

I wanted to say that I didn't like them because I liked forcing players to make (hard) reads. But choosing the OS to use is arguably read-based as well, at least assuming that they each only cover a limited range of options and have particular weaknesses. The read for what the opponent might try to do still needs to be made, to avoid using the OS that'd lose to what you think they'd do.

It's hard to say whether the reads game is more shallow or deep with them. On one hand, making a read against conventional non-OS options feels a lot more shallow, but selecting your OS against an opponent's OS seems like it could be quite deep. There's no denying that players who don't know or use them are at a distinct disadvantage though.

That said, I think it could be interesting to see a fighting game with an "anti-OS" interpreter, like giving the worst / slowest attack when trying to overlap inputs, forcing a guard drop with no attacks coming out when pressing buttons during blockstun, etc. Honesty: the Fighting Game.

I feel Harada is more in-tune with the community and will try to fix any problems with the PC port of Tekken.

Yeah Namco has competency. I'm not too upset at the DOA5 PC stuff because I got the game for really cheap, but I'm scratching my head at the incompetency of TN at the moment.

"All Amazon PC leaks have come true" and you link me a fake leak of a PS4 game? ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Okay, that's real exciting. Wish it was TTT2 as well but beggars can't be choosers.

Are you sure?!

Yes. Reason being, there is a pattern of success with the leaks stemming from GTAV and DOA5:LR; it's pretty funny how quickly they are retracted, despite the damage of the leak being done.

Ok, I googled it and found it

I'm a blind optimist, so I do believe we will see Tekken 7 on Steam. Til then all y'all should be checking out rise of incarnates~

breh, my dream is to have SFV, T7, MKX and KOFXIV all on my steam library

I'd say Namco get PC gaming now, between DS2 and them trying a PC only project. I wouldn't worry about T7 quality on PC, if it's ever ported. After the PS4/X1 leak from that UE4 video, doesn't seem it'll be there day 1.

Tekken 7 PC leaked on Amazon, which means for sure it's coming. All Amazon PC leaks have come true.

I wouldn't celebrate just yet. The Epic Games GDC trailer initially had Tekken 7 in it's montage listing only Arcade, PS4, and XB1. An hour later it was taken down and then replaced with a trailer listing Tekken 7 as only Arcade.

Dunno if this means a PC version or not but that was scary to see :(

Yeah game system logos have always been a weird business. For the longest time I remember that P4AU had a Vita trademark that turned out to be nothing.

Looks like they're keeping platforms tight-lipped, but I would be seriously shocked beyond compare if T7 breaks the Amazon leak pattern.

Unless the Amazon leak was fake like the Crash Bandicoot PS4 one

I'll be real with you, if you ever plan to play online against human beings get the PS3 version. SP content is okay if you like the VN stuff, but that's really it.

Why are we getting charged the same as the next-gen versions, then?

Who knows
besides those on Tekken Project
how true Amazon's listing/Epic's trailer are in terms of platforms. We can assume, but Namco would be crazy not to have Tekken on PC when SF5 is coming to PC. Namco's already bringing more games to PC, plus why make the switch to UE4 if PC wasn't a consideration somewhere.

It's also a shame that PC is still being treated as an afterthought in terms of fighters. I'm sure most are just interested in the DOA PC release for their wicked possibilities, but why even bother with a port that's lacking in features from the console release. They better not charge the same as the console version if that's the case.

I'm looking forward to hearing what people who don't play Tekken have to say about Tekken 7 at Final Round. I'm sure most Tekken fans will love it.

Its that time again...

The most important thing right off the bat is the aesthetics. It's just the first thing that grabs my attention. I'm shallow like that. But if another character has tools I find more appealing (usually ones that compliment a lamer playstyle) then I'll pick them. It's how I ended up with Rose in SSIV. I got lucky with Peacock in Skullgirls and Hilda in UNiEL that I loved both the way the characters played and their aesthetics.

Then again, I play Taki/Natsu in Soul Calibur and she's the very opposite of lame.

Wow. Just wow. Glad I went the PS4 route this time. 3 months for online play? PS3 particles? What a fucking joke.
