I always though GOW meant God Of War because it is a titled name representing a God and GoW meant Gears of War just because it's the name of the game.

Well if they intend to announce it at E3, we'll probably get a leak soon. When did we first hear of the MCC for reference ?
I'm not sure if I'd be really interested in such a trilogy to be honest. I liked the first episode because it was something new and different, but I never played the sequels.

We know there's one being made, so it's not an "either/or" scenario. The MCC collection didn't stop Halo5 from being developed.
