When the update hits tomorrow I should be able to just backup my current ps4 hd completely and then restore it once the new HD is in.

I installed the same drive. Takes some work to remove the drive from its enclosure, but the drive is great and you can pop the 500GB in to the enclosure for a free external HDD.

You can only make a backup of data, no installs running from external drives. Just like PS3.

·Export to YouTube in 1080p: 720p is the max right now. Yuck!

·Friend notifications: I want to separate my friends from real life friends to GAF friends.
·Avatar Change: I have a ton of avatars on my PS3. Lemme change them!

This is not really a firmware thing but it would be really neat if I bought a digital PS3 game or PS2 game if PS Now would let me play that without paying anything extra.

Im gonna assume games like Destiny and FF14 that the servers will kick you for inactivity so space won't be waisted for others to join. Im sure 95% of normal games will work fine.

Those 2 are changes are definitely ones I would like to see in the next big update.

It's a weird decision for sure, nothing is hard about it, they've left it out on purpose.

Also weird - when I made a "poll" thread a while back about most requested PS firmware features, it didn't even rate. Only lately is everyone mad that it's not there. I think Destiny reminded them with the party notifications.
