i mean unless he felt being embarassed by getting beat by Chief

but how could you though...Chief is the greatest warrior in UNSC history..it's nothing to be embarrassed about

Chief probably massively embarrasses Locke and just continues on with his mission as if Locke wasn't anything special. How are you going to tell ONI anything but a lie if it happens?

And Chief came out better in his trailer lol

Best post of the evening. Cheers to you, sir.

Also, Chief has three nades. Believe.

ONI prob made him a spartan just to have a chance to take down MC.

Likely all new gen spartans are ONI controlled.

Nope. Spartan IVs (and all surviving IIs and IIIs) are part of their own branch now (Spartan Branch) to lessen this sort of thing in the first place. I imagine Locke's existence as a Spartan is pretty well hidden.

Im starting to think that neither trailer is the truth, both are complete lies. We will play as Locke and the Chief, by natural logic of how this series works they will team up eventually.

Or it could be some weird interrogation scenario where both are imprisoned at the beginning and must tell their side of the story, like Black Ops. However, I am not fond of that idea at all.

CGI again for cutscenes? It's time to play with the big boys and do w/ in-engine assets.

Was not suprised by the October release date but I expected September.

Halo has always used in-game assets for cutscenes. With Halo 2A/Wars being rare exceptions.

I hope arbiter gets his own trailer as well as he sees both sides of the story and I really hope you get to play as all three in the game.

Yea that's what I thought. If there's anything we can take from 4 going into 5, it's that 5 is going to be a looker once it's all said and done.

Well, the Halo 5 beta is very smooth, and while graphics are not relevant in Halo, I think the gameplay is, the graphics of Halo 5 did the job but I wouldn't call it a looker. Like I said though, I never cared for graphics in Halo but we'll see how much improved they are from the beta. The beta graphics were just ok and yeah, it was early.

Halo 4 was all in-engine. The graphics were genuinely that good.

There were a fair amount of CGI cutscenes in Halo 4, made by Blur. Particularly Spartan Ops, but the first and last cutscenes of the Halo 4 campaign was CGI.

But yeah, Halo 4's in engine cutscenes - and graphics in general - were really impressive.

To be fair to 343, that build of the beta was months old by the time they got it out to us to ensure something stable where crashes wouldn't be an issue. Once it's down to final polish and optimization, I think the game will look and run fantastically. Them putting the emphasis of 60fps is huge for the series and I think it will benefit from that as well.
