There's 7 in the Mario line out (including Gold Mario) and 30 in the Smash line out right now.

If you take out the 2 Pokemon, that's 28 and 7 which is still only 35...we'd still be missing 5 amiibo with these numbers.

If you however count all of wave 4 without Pokemon (35) and counted all the Mario line duplicates of Smash without gold (5) you would get 40. So all of the Smash line except Pokemon and all of Mario except Toad (and not counting the gold variation as separate).

If they're counting the Mario line (so counting characters twice basically) then there's gonna be more from the Smash line that isn't used.

Inkling Girl, Inkling Boy, Inkling Squid and Toad puts it at 39. If the three Yarn Yoshis count separately then we are over 40.

Those Yarn Yoshi costumes are hilarious and cute and and a huge slap in the face to people who don't have all they new amiibo.

The video shows wave 5 amiibo so I don't know why you wouldn't count them. They'll be out by the time Wooly World is. The Smash line up to wave 5 without Pokemon is 39 by itself.

I've got the pink one reserved. I'll probably flip it for another Amiibo. I got it for trade bait, and because I felt down about missing out on other Amiibo.

I'd love a Black Yoshi yarnmiibo. He's my main in Smash and the best Yoshi ever. That guy can eat peppers and use exploding eggs while the other Yoshi flutter around like goofs.

Wave 4: 8
Wave 5: 2
Mario Line: 8
Splatoon: 3
Yarn Yoshi: 3

Total Amiibo: 52

Subtract Pokemon (4): 48
Subtract Gold/Silver editions (2): 46

I wouldn't even think twice about buying a yarn Yoshi that was black. I loved playing as him in Yoshi's Story and I go with the black for Mario Kart.

Five Pokemon: Pikachu, Lucario, Charizard, Jigglypuff, Greninja.

I'm also going to take issue with saying wave 5 is only two amiibo. The trailer shows Bowser Jr., Ganondorf, Olimar, Palutena, Dark Pit and Zero Suit.

I don't know if anyone will even have extras, let alone a single NA Ness. NA Ness doesn't exist until I've freed him from his packaging after arriving at my doorstep.

Wave 5 in the US is only 2 (Dark Pit and Palu). Wave 6 has all of those others which doesn't hit here until September.

Which makes sense why the trailer for it (which is an EU trailer) has all of those since they're already coming out.

You may think Wave 5 will be easy with Dark Pit and Palutena, but watch each store only get 1-3 of each.

Amazon of course will never put them up. Just the listings so you can watch resellers profit.

Regardless of what you consider to be wave 5, the counts were wrong and should have included the other characters. They are clearly supported in the game.

I'm with you. I just can believe that nintendo will screw up a two Amiibo release. Would be interested if releasing just two help the situation. Because if it does, then they should consider releasing them 2 by 2.

Damn, wave 4's only 3 days away, time flies and amazon never bothered with the pre-orders... anyone think they'll be going live like at 12am on the 29th?

So, uh, yeah. Wave 4 is a couple of days away, and I'm wondering when stores start shipping online orders?
I need to know what I'll be hunting down on the 29. :/

I doubt any stores will ship until the 29th itself. I always figured I'd be getting them in June.

Depends on what kind of shipping you ordered with. Expedited orders from Best Buy usually ship out 2-1 day before release. They always try to get them to you on the street date with this kind of shipping. I have received some accessories/games from them a day prior to release date with free expedited shipping. Rarely though ;P

If you read the whole post, I mentioned wave 6 was included in the trailer, but questioned what that meant...there's multiple ways to get to 40 here, just depends on how they got there.

I see. Thanks anyway. My online pre-orders are from Target, Walmart, and B&H.
Would be nice to see some movement. :p

Best Buy has gotten the last couple waves to me on release date.

They'll ship Thursday overnight and get here Friday afternoon.

They do the same with games for me.
