If only! I would be freaking ecstatic.what if the game looks like it does because it's made for VR?
not to pc gamers its not :3 nothing a little ini tweaking can't solve
For me, Fallout 4 looks like a next-gen Bethesda game.
Why some of you people expected cream of the crop graphics that would rival CDPR games is beyond me. Skyrim and Fallout weren't great lookers last gen.
It's just not how Bethesda rolls.
The precedent was set. You chose to ignore it to chase your own unrealistic dreams. That's on you, not Bethesda.
I really didnt think i'd be so disappointed with the trailer but they somehow managed it
hoping this screen is like, pre-pre-pre-pre alpha
Don't see the problem with that image, but I'm not all just about graphics alone.
I don't know, 5 DLCs in 8 months sounds a bit far fetched, as does a sequel/spin off in one year. And the last gen version bit sounds like BS too.apparently there was a reddit leak on the game last year. A lot of what was posted is matching up with what we have seen so far.
LOCATION: Fallout 4 is set in and around Boston and the surrounding countryside.
In Fallout 4, mixing things up, we are making the game more "Story Based" and the player character will finally talk, and narrate his storyline.
At the beginning of the game, you create your character (You can only be a male in the main story)
The map of Fallout 4 is about 3 times the size of Skyrim
Three Dog returns as well, although he is only heard on the radio, and not seen in person.
The first version that will be released is being developed for Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC. This version uses a brand new engine built from the ground up to take advantage of the power of next gen systems.
RELEASE DATE: BGS has a "Roadmap" already planned out for Fallout 4 and a spinoff. I already was informed about it from the studio when I worked there, and I read it. Basically, the roadmap is this:
June 2015 - Fallout 4 reveal at E3, trailer only
July 2015 - First gameplay trailers
August 2015 - More information
October 2015 - PS4/Xbox One/PC release
November 2015 - First DLC
December 2015 - Second DLC, as well as PS3/360 version release
January 2016 - Third DLC
March 2016 - Forth DLC
April 2016 - Fifth and Final DLC
June 2016 - Fallout Spinoff revealed, in development by Behaviour Interactive.
October 2016 - Fallout Spinoff released for PS4/Xbox One/PC
the leaker states she used to work for Bethesda and was fired hence the revenge leak.
Holy shit the rumors are saying you can only play as a dude? My wife would be so disappointed.
I guess some of that leak changed then? The player character here is clearly a young vault dweller.
Kinda kills the only reason they would have for male only.
If they were to really give the spinoff to whoever the hell "Behaviour Interactive" is and not Obsidian, then there is truly no hope for this world.
My hype is dead if so.
Casting calls for both the male and female versions of the player character note that the player begins the game in a cryogenic sleep chamber
This looks fucking awesome. People complaining about graphics because it's not full of bs effects like muh chromatic abuhrration should seriously look at fucking skyrim and see how this looks like almost 2 generations better.
The crossgen rumor was ridiculous and total bullocks btw, I can't believe anyone fell for it.
No but you have a thread of console gamers posses that there isn't things like hair works? Guess what? You weren't getting hair works anyways! So unless there's a positive response, there's no point in being honest, that's what you're suggesting?
Honest has to be expected, not rewarded.
It would be a deal breaker. Fallout would cease to be an RPG.That would be quite disappointing indeed.
I liked the trailer. As for the graphics, eh, I'm suremods will improve them immensely.paid
According to the leak
You aren't the baby:
At the beginning of the game, you create your character (You can only be a male in the main story), and afterward, you start the game with a blast. After the blast, you awake to see the building you are standing inside blown apart and your wife, Lydia, dead. Robots and Androids are storming the place, killing and kidnapping the people inside. You, known as "The Officer", must escape and get revenge.
Man, I really hope this male only protagonist rumour isn't true...
Yeah, so fake. Or the entire premise was changed.
Using this as my wallpaper for the time being.
Hmm, it would be a deviation but it would be a deviation that I'd like to see. A fully voiced character could be interesting.I don't know how accurate those other leaks have been, but yeah I hope this stays a rumor. Having a set gender, fully voiced characters seems like a deviation from the standard Fallout/Elder Scrolls narrative.
Exactly my thoughts.
I am more concerned about the gameplay and all the RPG mechanics of the game because graphics can be fixed with mods (on PC at least).
He is, I believe. After the trailer dropped he posted on twitter that the existence of the game was the hardest secret he has ever had to keep.
if its true that you can only be one character in the game i actually think its a good thing. the reason is i think it would definitely make more a stronger story if the character actually talks and interacts with other people but also with all their games it always ruins the world for me when talking to npcs they just call you wanderer or some kind of vague thing
I agree that the game can look better come time of release but this is what they show so this is what people going to talk about .
Also game devs \pubs have put there self in this situation by pulling all the bullshit they have threw out the years .
it seemed awfully close to what we got in the trailer, though. can't deny that.
boston, voiced protag, etc.
i mean, what faker can come up with those 11 months ago and match what was shown in the trailer?
not to mention, the strong and loud accusations of it looking a little bit last-gen-y in some regards.
No chance in hell then lol.
Same, would kill a significant amount of my hype.Man, I really hope this male only protagonist rumour isn't true...
It would be a deal breaker. Fallout would cease to be an RPG.
Bethesda's success with Skyrim leads me to believe the RPG mechanics will be nonexistent. I'd love to be wrong.
saturday morning superman fallout
I hope people wait patiently to find out more about the game rather than basing a bunch of rumors like this on year-old leaks that were never confirmed. I really hope it's not male-only as well, but everyone really needs to wait on more info before going full Internet Ubisoft outrage machine.
saturday morning superman fallout
also im bettin they canceled a previous-gen version and this is super early or something
that dog looks fucking terrible
Only problem with that shot is the blue skies. Actually, like I said before, that is my only complain with the game so far is the color palette. Much to vibrant for me. Why is that sky so blue after nuclear war?
what if the game looks like it does because it's made for VR?
This is 11 months old, but a ton of this was already known from Kotaku's 2013 leak.
I'm going to go out on a limb and guess the Naughty Bear people aren't making a spin-off.
I don't have experience with Gamebryo, or Creation Engine but it is entirely possible that the engine (if they are using it) just sucks at handling graphical information (which draw calls are a part of). I mean there is a reason why we moved on from Unreal 2 to 3 and 4.
My post was mostly directed at people who wonder why the game possibly doesn't look as good The Witcher 3. Which can be summarized using your example (old ass engine vs brand new engine) and my example (one is a dynamic environment, the other mostly static).
We are merely speculating though, as we don't know if this is Creation Engine. It could be a new engine and Bethesda just sucks at graphics...lol.
