"Amiibo Festival"
Well, there it is. All of your frenzied irrational Amiibo purchases have led us to this point.
I hope you'rehappy.un
This. Ugh. There's always next year I guess...

I hope you'rehappy.un
But you collect happy points! YayyyyyyyyyyMario Party with way more texts and assumingly little to no mini-games?
Jesus Christ. I hope it's bundled with anti-depression medication.
AC is already goofy.Uhhh.
Huh.
Can you use Amiibo's outside of AC? AC monopoly with Megaman andPikachuSamus would be pretty goofy.
This describes my reaction exactly. I thought maybe it was a sub mode in the real game until I saw the hashtag.I saw the Animal Crossing visuals, and my heart jumped. I was filled with happiness. "Finally," I said. "Something to redeem this presentation."
Then I saw the game spots on the ground. Quickly, my brain pieced together what was actually happening. Like somebody had punched me in the gut, I realized this was a board game. I couldn't speak. My heart sank. I was crushed. The dream was gone.

See Tom Nook's face? That's the exact look I had after I realized it was a board game.

Haha my post in the direct thread is just "Oh no."This was nearly my literal reaction, though I saw the game spots immediately and just internally went "Oh no ... nooo no."
I'm slowly recovering.
1 is already out the window. So eventhough I have zero interest in party games without online I'll say this..
This game might be slightly redeemable if:
1. without amiibo you can still use a typical ac villager or something as your character.
2. the amiibo cards make every single ac villager available as a character, not just the statue guys.
3. The gameplay is a lot better/more interesting than recent mario party games.
Remember when Nintendo made games like Mario Kart 8? The Smash direct seems so long ago.I went from AC WIUUUU
to AC WIIUUUTT WUTT WUTT
in 3 seconds.
Also, the visual style is terrible, mario kart 8 AC levels look better

I guess it wasn't worth it for Nintendo to make a full-fledged Animal Crossing game for Wii U so we got this.
Serious question, who asked for this?
Animal Crossing fans wouldn't, that's for sure.
Hahahaha Amiibos required. Its so obvious they are doing the toys first and the games second.
1 is already out the window.
Guys, if this ends up being Fortune Street x Animal Crossing I'm going to hunt down every one of you who says it's shit.
If it's Mario Party, you're all free to go.
So is this going to be fully priced as well? Pretty damn scummy to require people to also buy at least one $12 piece of plastic to even start playing.
I knew the amiibo's were going to start becoming too intrusive, preparing for Nintendo to shove them in everything now.
