That's actually a pretty good fix. Sorry about what happened. If you need anyone to help power level, just let me know. I actually don't mind going through the story, I've helped a bunch of my friends do it since I was the first running 3 characters.

As someone who just leveled a new character from scratch, I can tell you it's not that bad. I got to lvl32 in three days of playing. Yeah, the missing exotics are what really sucks but at least you can quickly get to a level where you can do the end-game stuff that will give you shots to re-acquire the gear.

Take a day or three away from the game and then create the new character. The feeling of progression that I got from doing it was kind of refreshing.

Damn Xplicit that's straight up tragic. If my main got deleted and more importantly my weapons or gear I'd probably rage quit permanently. Hang in there. If you decide to start a new Warlock I would be happy to pull you through all the story missions and PoE at an accelerated pace. I'm sure the same goes for the rest of DGAF

So just make a new one, level up skills, get gear from NF and gorgon chests. You should quickly get most stuff back, even if not, you will have to swap to gear from TTK anyway.

Thanks. Yea, I thought deleting a single item was bad. But I had all my slots maxed - 1 and some were actually maxed at 9 with no.

24 weapons
24 gear (Complete sets of each VoG/CE/PoE/ToO, and All Exotics)
8 class items
8 shaders
8 Ships
Mats including 50+ exotic shards (thanks to Ram and Purifier Robes gamble) and ~200 strange coins, ass & radiant energy... yada yada.
100% story (this was my only char I actually went through the entire story)
Full marks
Faction rep each above rank 3 and Dead Orbit in the double digits.
Eris was almost finally rank 4.
Queen/Variks Rep
Vanguard/Crucible Rep
Both subclasses maxed

But yea, I usually don't like applying the phrase "It could be worse" because it's overused and it's not a legitimate phrase in every scenario, but... this really could have been worse. It could have been 2 chars or all 3 chars.

Make your nephew spend a couple of days leveling up your new warlock from scratch.

He will learn a lesson and you won't have to suffer the grind.

Thought about that, but kids tend to have a great resistance to grind; he might even like it. ^^
Take it easy xplicit and try not to feel too down about it. Take a break and see where it takes you from there, we'll be there to help you if you decide to come back (stronger ^^) to the game.

Is it reasonable to get from IB rank 3.5 to 5 before its over?

I only play on one character and have the shader and emblem (and obviously the buff).

I think the way the math works out is if you start on Monday you can hit rank 5 in 8 hours if you win every 5th game. Obviously it'll take less time than that if you win consistently. Todays buff should be 100% I think.

I am sorry to hear this happened to you - I can't imagine how upset I would be if someone deleted one of my characters like that.

Honestly, more than just having extra protections in place to prevent accidental deletions, Bungie should just flat out allow restoration of deleted characters within a certain time period. Most MMOs I have played do this for players, and the investment of time involved in Destiny is absolutely comparable.

Getting sweaty is the worst.

Our troll body is like "yeah hair grow there to warm up our body" and then we just sweat 5 liters because of it instead of it helping in the cold.

Of course i live in Brazil so my view may be biased (its so hot here) :p

Lol i shave, but its still annoying that you have to shave at all if you know what i mean. Our bodies should get the drift and just stop growing hair in that area haha
