I ordered from Gamestop and checked out as a guest, so I can pull up the order number but fuck me if I want to know anything about whats going on. Theres not even a field for it to add a note or project a date.
They charged my card on 8/26 and they are supposed to charge when they ship, but it doesnt show shipped. Who knows if they even had my CE when they charged me?

If they charged you I'm pretty sure you're safe. I've noticed shipping info is often late to update for many retailers

Yeah but its frickin Gamestop. They may have just said "durrr charge all the MGS preorders on 8/26" months ago and it has nothing much to do with what actually happened this week.

The CE doesn't look to appealing watching that unboxing up there. Baby hand is disappointing. Should have just done something else instead.
Welp, got a text from DPD this morning saying my GAME UK order for the CE will be delivered on 1st Sept. The link to it says I could pick it up if I wanted, wonder if I could do that early, though I think the depot is pretty far from me and not worth the cost of travel tbh. But am tempted to to see if there are any issues with it...

Jeez... I had canceled my preorder about a month ago and was really starting to regret it. Now I think I'll just stick to the regular physical copy.

As others have said, I have always been disappointed by this CE edition. I am not a big fan for them in general, but the contents are disappointing, and do not feel "more special" especially for a Metal Gear Solid game. The arm is just pointless and is no incentive, really. With that said, I still bought it because it's Metal Gear and quite possibly the last one Kojima is part of.
In the UK and I have just had emailing saying it'll be delivered on Tuesday morning. Said it was "shipped" yesterday so hopefully the set itself will be okay and actually have everything it is supposed to. I'll not be overly sad if I don't have codes day one, I remember Shadow of Mordor codes had to be re-sent by email via Amazon as the original codes didn't work.
Just checked and mine now says the same. I guess they figured it out.

Fuck, I knew Best Buy was a mistake. Had the opportunity to switch to Amazon but I figured it would be fine. I don't trust Best Buy to rectify this if they fuck up at all :|

Anyone ordering from Gamestop USA has any news on his order ? Importing my copy so... I need to wait :/
Did you have to re-order yours? Mines coming up as dispatched by second class Royal Mail rather than first class everyone else has, so I'm thinking it might be messed up.
I received both a text and email so maybe worth checking emails as well (although I assume you may already have done so). The only other thing I can think of is that it may be delivered via MyHermes or ParcelForce, the other two couriers Game use, which I don't think you will get a notification for, because DPD is nearly God-Tier.

Ah cheers. Yeah, hoping it comes Tuesday then unless I'm surprised today since I'll have no notification at all. Man, I wish everywhere would just use DPD for anything couriered.

+ me. Just got the email and text from Game confirming that DPD will give a one hour delivery slot Tuesday 1st morning and to make sure I can sign for it (and choose to collect from depot).
Fingers crossed all is well.

I ended up cancelling my amazon ps4 CE preorder. After seeing that unboxing video - apparently the box is just cardboard, half of the things are included in the day 1 edition, and the half scale arm looks a bit cheap. Plus the ps4 version manufacturer screw up did not sit well with me.
The real reason is that I am a bit behind on the MGS saga (I've played 1,2, and 4, still need to complete 3 and PW) so figured I just wait and get the eventual $30 dollar all included version.

Yes, actually I'm happy my CE was canceled, it's really not worth the price they ask here (140, it could be good for 100, anyway).
-the box is cardbox
-the steelbook is different from the one in promotional images, is just the GZ cover
-arm is ok, half scale but it was known already
Totally not worth 140. Also I find amusing how Konami can't provide a high number of those CE. Take Ubisoft, in exaple: you can still find a lot of Unity CE in every store, for cheap too. Hell, those CE like two months ago were also bundled if you bought a new One/PS4 here from Gamestop.
How can Ubisoft manage to print enough copy of their CE, while Konami can't even offer the CE within the limite pre-order window they had?

Was able to change to shipping from in store pickup. Now just have to wait for Konami fuckery to screw me now.
