Sexy lesbian ghost game comes to Steam uncensored

Huh...this is a thing then. Also Indiegala already has uncensored hentai games in a bundle at the moment. Sexy Girls bundle has been up for awhile.

^NSFW obviously...pretty certain one title has nudity in its damned cover art. What can you expect from a game called "Boob Wars" though lol. Not posting a link for obvious reasons, but yeah. Its on indiegala.

I swear, one of these days if I actually get any clout as a game designer, I'll probably just make a game with uncensored sex and treat it like its no big deal just to fuck with everyone. Though I'd also try and keep it within the boundaries of tastefulness and non-gratuitous, I don't wanna go too far with that experiment.

I want to take a goddamn sledgehammer to that double standard.

Lol, but to be fair, straight males is a much bigger demo than gay females, and I imagine that there is a considerable amount of overlap in taste. I wouldn't know from experience, but I assume that there are lesbians who are into cute anime girls. There is afterall that entire series of yuri games, Sono something or other, that I don't think are primarily targeted at males (or are they? I dunno).

Recently the SteamSpy guy wrote an article "Your Target Audience doesn't exist".
It's really interessting and it boils down to that bland demo statements are reductionist.
For example general consensus would say Senran Kagura is for males, my anecdotal evidence tells me it is far more popular with females.
But does it even matter who enjoys what title? As long as there is something enjoyable to someone in there I'll be happy (there are far to many terrible VNs on steam).

the fact that it doesn't do anything anywhere but 4chan should've clued you in, man.

but i've seen lots of people do it on GAF so you're not alone.
I just use it for emphasis haha, I've never even been on 4chan and know nothing about it other than a few pictures I've seen of it.

There's nothing too explicit in the images for this game either. No depictions of genitals or anything like that, there's stuff on Steam already that's rated M and is more explicit

Sounds like there was never much chance of this actually being denied, so this is a mountain made out of a molehill. Marketing!

The ">" character in front of statements to indicate a quote didn't originate with 4chan, and 4chan isn't the only site where it's still in use.

>implying greentexting didn't originate on 4chan

I'm fine with this if it gets people who "ironically" buy games like Sakura Spirit and Nekopara into reading something that has the potential to actually be pretty good.

Not for me but there's bound to be girls and guys who like this sort of thing so... more diverse games is always nice.

Woo anime boobies.
The japanese title was better, though: Yuri Ghosts on the Rooftop. Doesn't get more descriptive than that.

It's uncensored because besides breasts there's nothing to censor really (With games like Huniepop breasts don't get censored even with the censored version on Steam).
The game is more lighthearted/soft and cute than the title of the thread lets on. Here's the opening movie: https://youtu.be/J7XNJg2lUJQ

I'll take representation whenever I can get it however, so I'll be picking this up day 1.

Doesn't read OPs, especially not his own
Having read alot of yuri doujinshi, I would have to say that they're most likely targeted at women, that's not to say men couldn't enjoy it but they have a lot more going on for them.

Yeah, I was thinking, "Nothing about this sounds like it will actually be sexy to lesbians..."

Japans weird like that, their male gay stuff is for straight women, and their lesbian stuff is for straight men.

Well I guess the latter is true everywhere.

Did it sell well? That's rather surprising.

To date, probably around 50K copies. 30K was the official number a while back, and 45K was the number on Steamspy before the developer requested that the game be removed from tracking.

Their lesbian stuff is also for women. It's only in the past 10 years or so that yuri works targeted at a male audience have become more frequent, but I believe the majority of the audience for yuri works in Japan is still female.
