I refunded it and went with cdkeys.com. 38.99 no tax and nuketown. Good deal. I give it up to GMG though because they refunded me nearly instantly.

cdkeys gave me the code at 9am gmt+1 today + nuketown, couldn't pick GMG over that even if they are grey market.
At this point GMG is probably grey market too so one might as well purchase from cdkeys. The singleplayer content in this game is really interesting me.

So for me,

I5-3470
8GB RAM
970

The game is freezing every 30 sec or so for a while. If I check I can see 100% usage of cpu and a little over a GB of RAM unused. GPU is at ease.

I dont know what's with it, if I didnt know it runs fine for some of you guys I'd say he's trying to contact the server every now and then and freezing hard while failing to do so :(

The Blops 2 player count has always been really good all things considered. It sits at a pretty stable 8-12k. Its not CSGO or Dota 2 numbers, but its good enough that you can find a game in pretty much all the modes.

Treyarch has earned a pretty strong reputation within the pc community due to always going out of their way to include options the other devs on the franchise (namely Infinity Ward) don't. From controller support to FOV sliders to dedicated servers. I think a good number of PC gamers wait for Treyarch's entries in the series to roll around before upgrading. I know I do.

The 100% CPU freezing is being looked into, PCDev Tweeted about it.

GMG out of stock... :(
Aww wtf? I just decided to buy it dammit. Was gonna do it in literally 5 minutes when I got back to my PC. Does anyone know if GMG usually gets stock back before release?

EDIT: But then again maybe I dodged a bullet? This Nuketown stuff is weird.

Didn't GMG say you won't get nuketown from them? I didn't buy from GMG.

Yep, GMG Tweeted multiple times that they wouldn't be offering Nuketown nor pre-load, it seems they shot themselves in the foot.

No reason to be worried

I wouldn't worry too much. TW3 turned out okay and they do have keys for EA, Ubisoft, and SEGA and their not listed either so it might be nothing.
Ok, good. This was literally my first GMG purchase. Sucks about nuketown, but I guess I could live without it. Btw, how are the pc controls? First time playing a CoD game on PC. Not sure how I'll manage.

Because it increases the size of your page file as well as the file for hibernation of the PC ( if you enable hibernation ) to 16+ GB thus eating up more harddrive space w/ little benefit. Depending on how much room you have on your harddrive (SSD) that might be a big deal.

8GB is what I would consider the bare minimum for 64-bit compiled games these days.

Hard drive space is incredibly cheap and you can manually adjust the pagefile to store it on a mechanical hard drive. AFAIK, the hibernation file needs to remain on the boot partition, so that's the only use case I can see. Again, storage is cheap.

Everyone may or may not be getting a bit over the heads right now. You need more and different testing to come to an understand about what hardware the game needs in actuality. How much information is out there right now about a variety of set ups and settings?
Like here for example: consoles are not running on the highest settings. Of course they require a lot less ram, just like lower settings on pc. IMO, let's wait a bit before theory crafting about this game being ram inefficient.

Not an overreaction.

Agreed!

Though when I see a report saying a GTX 980 Ti has stuttering at 1600p unless you have 16Gb of RAM even when equipped with a high end i7 I get a little worried. You're talking about a system with a lot more power than whats in those consoles. So unless the overall graphics quality is way better it seems a little wasteful to me. I guess I'll just wait and see what happens.

gave away the keys to the kingdom.
Is it pretty?

I'd say it's about on par with Advanced Warfare, which isn't a bad thing. Definitely not worse, but perhaps slightly better. I'd post a few screenshots if I were at my PC.

is this site legit? I would do it but it doesn't let me add any game to my cart.

No, but as far as grey market resellers go, it's reputable (well, as reputable as such a business can be).

I have a feeling gmg bought off other resellers to cover for their lack of keys? Since they are giving away the game with nuketown

It has much better art direction though. AW had some really silly and ugly looking weapons, weapon variants, maps and characters.

Interesting, I didn't get Nuk3town. Do they have 2 SKUs and I made the mistake of picking the one without the pre-order bonus?

Bought it strictly for the campaign, but still.

nope, only one
I ordered it the moment it went down to the $40 USD discount though, so it might have been first come first serve for nuk3town

Hmm, Steam says this unlocks in 9 hours, but it should be 3.5 as that'll be midnight in the UK, it's always a midnight release.
