Show Off Your Gaming Collection - 2016 Edition

(Not to be mistaken with the 'Show us your gaming setup' thread for this year)

Inspired by this thread from 2013, lets see what your gaming collections look like. Especially considering how since that thread, we've had two new machines come out and its been three years since the original thread.

+ You can post pics (videos too if you wish) of whatever collection of games you have: present day, classic, whatever.

+ You can as well post pictures of figures and collectables as part of your games collections too.

+ Digital collections are also encouraged and just as welcome too as physical stuff. It's easy enough to take screenshots nowadays of collections on Steam, PS4 and Xbox One with print-screen/built-in capture.

This is mine right now (this is obviously not counting the PS4/XB1 digi stuff or Steam stuff I have - I'll take screens of those down the line). Picture was taken after Christmas when I picked up AC: Syndicate on PS4, Guitar Hero Live on PS4, Star Wars Battlefront on PS4, The Elder Scrolls Online on Xbox One and WWE 2K16 on Xbox One. But also a few days before my birthday where I got Black Ops III on PS4, Wolfenstein: The Old Blood on PS4 and DmC: Definitive Edition on Xbox One.

Having to keep my games in my wardrobe right now, unfortunately. Hopefully sometime soon, I can fix that.

Do digital collections count?

And *2016

FUCK.

Sorry, brain still has that switch that says 2015, not 2016. If a mod can fix the thread title, I'd appreciate it.

And yes, digital collections count. I'm electing not to include mine for now, but I will sometime down the line as I say in the OP.

I'm having trouble fitting my Steam game catalogue into a single screenshot.

ALSO - I've traded in so many games over the years... I can't imagine how many total games I've had since 1979...

Dear God.

This is about 60% of it, the rest is in various places stored away in my room. Not many changes between last year and this although i do intend to expand the DS collection some more.

Tagged for later. Is posting vg figures/collectable related images acceptable? Don't know if you want to keep it strictly to games. I have a cabinet of them which is pretty cool.

Great thread! It's always nice to see the pics of all the games people have.

This is mine - still small since I've only had the PS3 for a year. Most of my other stuff is on Steam, or PC games I no longer have the cases for.

Not pictured are a copy of Red Dead Redemption GOTY, and also The Last of Us.

Does this count?

Coz my backlog is literally a cardboard box farm... I hesitate to count the pre-Atari games, let alone the others!

Here goes mine:

The shelf isn't the best but as long as my wife's still in the military and we have to move a ton it wouldn't be worth it to buy a sturdy/expensive one.

I could try to dig out old pics of my steelbook collection but no one's ever seemed to interested about that sort of thing on here as I posted part of it before.

Think people generally find large and/or rare game collections more interesting here which I suppose makes sense.

It's been a long long time since I thought about it but pretty sure I was around 300 unique VG steelbooks depending how you defined what constituted a unique steelbook [same design in G1 & G2, European design versus NA design, 4 different variants for same game etc.]

Here goes mine:

Bigger pictures would help, a little hard to see details

Ok here is mine:

Full Collection, games sorted by release date (oldest -> newest):

Pieces of the collection for visibility:

Damn you Fallout 4 and Mass Effect Trilogy for not being normal blu ray cases!!!!

Fun facts:
-I own every single North American SKU of Metal Gear Solid 2 on Playstation Consoles
-The Office Season 1-5 are not legit copies. I bought them on ebay for $50 and I only found out last year they are not real. The color on the cases are low resolution and look like I printed them out myself. NBC needs to put Blu ray version of The Office so I can replace them lol.

There is some personal info there so I had to remove it but here are my figures. Very top part of my shelf is very messy. I have autographed posters from Breaking Benjamin and Senses Fail when I saw them (need to get frames for them) so I have no where to put them for now. So everything on the top is not where its supposed to be. There is a Play Arts Cloud Strife FFVII Advent Children hiding back there:

Bonus pics:

Sorry about the lighting, I did the best I could

I'm trying to digitize my collection as much as possible now, so hard to post a great picture for this thread anymore.

Posted this in another topic but it's probably more appropriate here.

Two of my most loved series

All of the multiplayer ones (all except Advance)

All of the SNES games (Super Bomberman 1-5, Puzzle Bomber and Bomberman BDaman), All of the N64 games (including the mostly unheard of Japanese Bomberman 64... it's 2d!) Both the Gamecube games, and the (Japanese retail version with two extra stages and a 1 player mode) Wii game which perfectly itches the 5+ player itch and is delaying the purchase of Saturn Bomberman. This game is severely under rated! And two DS games that I believe have both the different multiplayer modes available on the DS games.

Physical-only for now:

Wow. I love how clean that comes across, at least to me. Something to aspire too for me!

Most of my retro stuff is still packed up but here is what I have so far of my "recent" collection.

Love the collectibles shown in some of these posts! The more, the merrier!

Are we talking just games since the 7th gen or can we put up more classic pieces.

All games regardless of generation are welcome! Classics are just as much encouraged as the modern games!

^Very nice digital library. Do you own any games physically?

I do. There's a pic in the OP (though today, I added the Life is Strange CE to the collection so perhaps I could do with a slightly updated one. Plus I need to rejuggle the order of certain games compared to the pic above in the original pic anyway).

Meh, need to get around to get some decent pics of the entire collection. Love these kind of threads, but uploading some random snapshots with terrible lighting kind of feels like it misses the point.

One of these days!

Doh, missed that my bad.

Your digital library is so nice it almost makes me want to drop physical and go all digital. ALMOST.

Wish I could contribute with a nice picture with my collection properly displayed but once wife and I moved into new house she said she does not want our son, now 3, seeing the bad games which then turned into pretty much any game. My large collection is boxed up and mostly stored under our steps(large storage area the length of our entryway and more) with only my current systems hooked up and currently played games out. I have maybe 800 to 1000 games(yeah I just stopped counting the past few years and add to it in large numbers).

I feel you. The power of wives :D

I don't have all of my gaming items on display yet. I just bought a new home this summer and I still have a lot of my stuff to set up. I took a couple of quick pictures though to add to the thread.

Updated the OP with clarification on what you can post. Already stated it in a few posts here, but best to state it in the first post in the hope of encouraging more people to post.

Also: updated pics of my physical lineup as I shuffled the order around a bit. Plus, better to give you a few zoom-ins than instead of one encompassing shitty pic of the lineup on a potato iPhone 4S camera. Plus, any chance to show off my Life is Strange CE.

This is what I've got for current gen:
I've got 100 something old games packed away in storage for when we finally find the house we want to buy.

I'm doing my best to only buy what I intend to play right away and only keep what I can see myself playing again.

Alright, here we go...

(not pictured are: a couple of games I'm currently playing (different platforms), 25 or so loose Master System carts, 40+ loose MSX carts, amiibos, Skylanders, most Limited Edition boxes, art books, guides, soundtracks, and also Fallout Anthology on PC)

Nintendo platforms: GBA, NDS, 3DS, GameCube, Wii, and Wii U

Sony platforms: PSP, PSVita, PS2, PS3, and PS4

PC Engine games

Mega Drive games + Sagaia (SMS)

PC games

MSX games

Row 4. My relatively small PSX collection.
sBQww3m.jpg

My N64 games. Discovered that my Majora's Mask cart is missing while taking this pic. Maybe I lent it to someone years ago and forgot. I have it on Gamecube though so whatever. I've beaten all of these except Rocket: Robot on Wheels, which I bought recently.
KD3ruP9.jpg

Gameboy games from before I cared about having the boxes and manuals. I actually bought a second copy of FFTA for the box. I've beaten all of these that can be beaten.
5YLglOI.jpg

Backlog. I bought all of the Tomb Raider, Mana, and Dragon Quest games a few years back. I beat the first few installments of each, but have lost interest in continuing.
6xbdIky.jpg

Active backlog and currently being played games. These are all haphazardly scattered near my TV. I have every intention of playing these, even though some of them have been there for an ungodly amount of time (Dark Cloud 2). Some have been thoroughly beaten but I keep them close because I return often.
