Dying Light: Enhanced Edition Goes Gold, New Trailer

Again, that is very clear on the feature updates. But The Following and any DLCs still need to be purchased separately right? Or will there be a new bundle for that stuff for owners of the base game?

Not actually trying to be difficult here, but I've seen this question without a complete answer several times already.

Yes, the season pass must be purchased to get The Following if all you have is the base game.

This is from the original PR, and they never mention visual enhancements:

“We didn’t want to follow the beaten track and just re-release our game in a new wrapping with the current DLC added on – explains Maciej Binkowski, lead game designer. “That’s why for the last half year we’ve been working on a ton of enhancements that we’re now going to make available to everyone. We’re adding bonus post-game content, a Nightmare difficulty level, nearly 100 new animations, new NPC models, advanced AI behaviors, and more. One year after the original release, Dying Light will be even bigger.”

The original game will get all this via an update too.

This is really cool of them. Do we know what the bonus post game content is? Side missions?

Hoping they add a chromatic aberration toggle on console.

I dont barf at any sight of CA like some people but I straight up got head aches playing Dying Light because of it and had to give up on the game.

Its turned up to 11 in this game. Borderline "put on your 3d glasses" style.

Thanks for that. I'm now crystal clear :)

Edit: Woah, $30 for the season pass.

If I don't pick up the season pass can I still play through the campaign co-op with my buddy if he buys the Enhanced Edition? I'd assume so considering we'd have the same updates and enhancements.

Actually never got pumped for this at release for whatever reason, but this does look good. May get this at some point to play through with a friend. Got Dead Island for 5 bucks during a steam sale years ago and had a blast.

That reminds me to buy the Season Pass from Amazon, since its still $19.99 there. Can't wait for the DLC and updates

how long is this? is it like a checklist type of game of more like exploration?

Main story only? Maybe 20hrs? Little less.

I'm at 35, and I've done all the side missions on the way through the campaign. But haven't played a bit since I beat it at launch. Really itching to try the patch, just bought the game with a buddy and never did try co-op/PvP, do this should be like a whole new game!

Link? I can't seem to find the season pass on Amazon.

Currently playing the base game and enjoying it a lot more than I though I would. Bought it at release on PC and shelved it shortly thereafter.

Just went checking myself - Amazon only has the CONSOLE DLC, but it is 20$

Dying Light Community Maps coming to console

http://techraptor.net/content/dying-light-community-maps-coming-to-console

"We’ve said on many different occasions how much we enjoy playing maps created by our fans, but now the time has come to show it. There’s so much variety and ingenuity in there, even more so since we added co-op and PvP support. One more thing: we will be making select maps available on consoles, and we will play some of them this Saturday!"

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAS.

Oh well, guess I'm not rebuying the game. Won't support that shit.

I'm still a bit confused

I don't own the game. If I buy the Enhanced Edition does that also come with The Following or is that still an add on?

I see someone said its sold separately from the base game but didn't see any clarification on whether or not it's included with EE

Can't wait. Those improvements + nightmare difficulty sound great. Gonna be rockin' that 1975 filter from the get-go.

Excellent post-release support.

Is there a discount if you already own it on Steam?

Bought it during the winter sale but if I had known this edition was out so soon I'da waited.

Had no interest when this Dying Light originally came out, but I love that the developers are doing this. The new features and improvements look great. Might preorder it.

I never, in a million fucking years, thought I would see Techland rise to CD Projekt RED's level of post-release support, but good for fucking them. They've really proved themselves as one of the best devs in the business with Dying Light.

Polish devs are too good to us. :p

Yep. Poland becoming a powerhouse.

Oh well, guess I'm not rebuying the game. Won't support that shit.

Was so high on this game when it released last year. Played a ton of it then got hit with the save game bug where your level and shit reset to 0. Said F it and sold it I was so mad. May pick it back up because I enjoyed it so much but that left such a bad taste in my mouth.....

Loooooool lighten up

On topic - my GOTY last year. Best it on PS4 and need to replay it on the PC. Just an amazing, oppressive, immersive atmosphere.

I love the amount of support Techland gave this game. They gained a fan.

Yes. The Enhanced Edition is just the patched-up base game and Season Pass content packaged together, which is why Techland quietly pulled the Ultimate Edition from Steam a while back -- they're the same thing.

If you own Dying Light and the Season Pass: You effectively own the Enhanced Edition
If you own Dying Light but not the Season Pass: The base game will be patched but you will still need to buy further content
If you own neither: The Enhanced Edition is for you
