So, anyone else notice some weird coloured light like things sometimes? Like a little bright green square on a chair or something. I don't know if it's meaningful or if it's just a graphics glitch.

Really enjoying this game so far. I may be addicted to the elevator level

Vsync seems to fix it for me when I use windowed and then ALT+Enter it on my main monitor.

Sadly made no difference to me, got the update before starting again though. Very choppy, especially when standing still while enemies explodes into pieces. Someone said it is mainly the Steam version that has problems.

This is a definite purchase on Xbox for me, despite March being a packed month of new games. It looks too awesome to pass up.

Is there anyway to move at half speed except jumping around? It's a bit finicky to control the speed when you basically need to be tapping yourself forward if you want to move a bit slower, or bunny hop everywhere.

I'm not at home right now so I can't try, but combining analogue stick movement and mouse aiming could work. I know playing on a pad lets you seamlessly control the speed with the movement stick.

Yeah, an analog stick is wonderful for this game. Gives you so much more control. It's genuinely more fun with it.

(It depresses me that standard PC movement controls are still stuck with digital. Digital has its uses -- I love shoot-em-ups and fighting games -- but fine-grained 3D space movement isn't necessarily one of them.)

Ended up purchasing this yesterday but haven't had the chance to try it out just yet. Will playthrough this weekend :)

Was doing the Katana Only version of the Oldboy Corridor level. I felt that the two assault rifle guys at the end was a really tricky situation to be put into with only a melee weapon to utilize. That was until I winged it and threw my Katana which accidentally landed onto one of the props which ended up stunning the red guys and have them drop their guns, giving me ample time to reacquire my Katana and slice them into polygon shreds.

This game is an absolute marvel when it comes to improvisational action which I haven't felt since the first Hotline Miami. A lot of the time it has a habit of even making the mistakes feel intentional in a "yeah, I meant to do that" kind of way". This is the closest a game has ever felt to recapturing these over-the-top zany action cutscenes you see in movies like The Matrix and games like Devil May Cry.

And really, even though the story is somewhat heavy-handed and rather short the Challenge Maps and Endless Mode more than makes up for it. It's like Portal in that the game is so tightly knit that it doesn't overstay it's welcome and offers a bunch of replay value.

It might just end up being my GOTY.

Anyway here's a replay I made.

Game says my replays were uploaded, but I wasn't able to register a Killstagram account yesterday. What happens to those replays?

It sets up an account with a random name for you automatically, then uploads the replays with random names to that account. At least that's what it appears to be doing. Clicking on replays from the game's main menu will take you to your account page on Killstagram and the replays should be shown there.

damn, there's a difference? I only played with m/kb. I might wait for PS4 version to replay with controller for a new experience.

Late game spoiler question:
When you hotswitch, can you grab weapons and items you have thrown at "yourself"? Like throw a shotgun to a guy, switch to that guy, catch the shotgun?

Yes. I haven't done it myself but Super Bunnyhop does this in his review.

I have done it and it is awesome.

My Killstagram uploads are all just low quality youtube videos while others seem to be decent quality webms. What gives?

Yeah, that works great except for some reason i cannot jump while moving anymore when i'm using the ps4 controller and a mouse, is there anyway to rebind keys from configs so that i could change the jump from spacebar to somewhere else?

Just looked at some of the gifs in the thread and I hear "this is the most innovative shooter in years". Now I don't particularly care for the genre in the slightest, so it looks same-old, same-old... just with a shiny minimal coat of paint. What makes this special? Could you recommend it to someone who hates shooters aside from the extremely offbeat, innovative takes a la Splatoon, Vanquish, Mirror's Edge or Portal?

Giant Bomb did a Quick Look.

this is more a puzzle game than a straight up shooter.

I think I messed around with the HUD in replay mode too much because now in the main game I got no reticle. Anyone know how to bring back the HUD?

Finished it. Fun little campaign although I don't care for the fake old OS or the story much. Game play was top notch and I'll do the challenges and endless mode a bunch.

I have not read through the entire thread so I don't know if this is common knowledge yet BUT...you can totally pull out the camera during replays to a third person free-floating camera.

I found this out by listening to the in-game fake IRC room for what felt like a solid 20 minutes

I'm not exactly sure how the controls totally work as there's very little feedback and it seems almost glitchy, but try fiddling with the numpad while F5'd into the replay. Press "0" on the numpad to get free-floating camera control. You can then zoom around and mouse look with WASD like any old FPS spectator free-cam. Once you have that control I'm not clear how to control the speed. 1+3, or 7+9 seem to work but I can't get it to function correctly while in the free-cam mode.

Maybe it was a glitchy feature they decided to leave in for fun and doesn't totally work. But I did have fun watching the events play out from above. The game even jokes that "it's for the PC MASTER RACE only" so I don't know if it's even an option on a controller sadly.

*edit* Added actual key that activates the free-cam. ("0" on numpad)

Can you slow down time in replays? There's moments where I (not really a gameplay spoiler but I'll be careful)
shoot a bullet in mid air
but it doesn't come up well in the full speed replay

Is there any way to start this game in higher than native resolution?

you don't see the red launcher? I pumped it up to 1440 there.

Yes i have launcher and i set 1440p too but it doesn't work, it goes back to 1080p. BTW. My TV resolution is 1080p.

It's a unity game, it won't run higher then your desktop resolution no matter what you set it too, so if you want to downsample you need to change your desktop resolution to whatever you want to downsample from before launching the game.

I've played way too much in the past few hours, but every time I pull off a feat like:
-slice bullet in half
-slice shooter of bullet in half
-throw katana at another enemy
-grab gun they drop
-shoot third enemy
-turn 180 for next wave
it still feels fresh and gives a kick like no other. The fact there are only a handful of weapons really makes it easy to quickly assess a situation and come up with a solution instantly, and it feels so good EVERY TIME. Really interested to see if they will expand upon it, but right now I'm hooked.

Patch finally made it to where i can actually launch the superhot.exe in game. Was playing and figured out that if you hold down space while you jump, you'll jump in slow motion

Same. I uploaded a replay in the hallway on Katana Only, but the replay doesn't show up

And btw Katana Only is amazing. Slicing bullets never gets old

I fucking love this game so far. Playing on a Macbook Pro Retina and I was really worried about performance but it seems to be running smooth, granted it is in a window, but it is fine.
Just wish the button prompts in the game matched the actual buttons on the controller.
I am using a 360 controller with the drivers I got here.
Anyone else have other drivers or controllers they use on a Mac? I basically have all modern console controllers. I really do not game on the Mac much, but wanted to play SuperHot on the Go as it seems like the perfect game.
