I can't imagine you waste a main character death like that. I'm thinking survives in coma wakes up at crucial time to relay information about the shooter. Too bad we probably won't get to see it play out in s3.

So I'm assuming Peggy's brother would have to be alive if he's to be Sharon Carter's father/grandfather. If Peggy is supposed to be her aunt/great aunt.

I've been hearing that ratings may not matter as long as the show is contributing to the Marvel brand. Ending the show right now with a cliffhanger, especially with Stark's "Big Project (Shield?)", would put some stains in the MCU brand.

Anyways, I hope that talk is true because I love this show.

Finally watched it and I thought it was great. Poor Jack, tho. Who could that person at the end have been? At first I thought it was going to be Dottie but then I saw the gun and stuff happened and... could the file Peggy's redacted file have been real? Who would shoot Thompson for it?

???

SO MANY QUESTIONS, WHY CLIFFHANG THE GODDAMN SEASON FINALE WHEN YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW IF YOU'RE GETTING A NEW SEASON?!

I would've been totally cool with this episode if they didn't pull that cliffhanger there, as it would've been nicely wrapped up and leading into the Agent Carter short.

But now I NEED a season 3. And man, what an anticlimactic end to Frost. Dottie put up a hell of a better fight. Season 1 had a better finale.

My thoughts exactly. This season was so damned good. Also that Jarvis scene at the end was amazing, feels and lol at the same time.

But man, I liked Jack and his little redemption arc, and since I liked him they were obviously successful with getting me to react at that cliffhanger but yeah like others I still don't like it even moreso with no guaranteed third season to give us some payback. Pretty good finale without that scene.

Not to mention, especially since in a show like this there could easily be a way he survived, even something as cliche as something stopping the bullet. While he looked down it's not like it was that definitive.

Yeah. Was hoping for that before the cliffhanger ending for a season 3 with the whole team trying to work out whatever that key lead to.

Hopefully they are able to do a season 3 and I wouldn't mind at all if Jack made it through that somehow so that we could have the whole team for once.

The finale was okay, but Season 2 turned out to be very inconsistent. There were relatively uneventful episodes, and then episodes like this one. I think they wasted valuable time putting way too much detail in certain characters and plot threads, while forgetting about others, leading to many key moments ending abruptly. Characters like Joseph Manfredi or Vernon Masters received very little development in spite of their importance in key scenes. I also think the Council of Nine could have received more exposure; they wasted so much time to introduce it and establish Whitney Frost as its new leader, but its function was reduced to simply being the motivation behind Whitney's cooperation with Masters, which itself was moot considering the initial plan to defeat her failed.

That ending also sent a very mixed message. Like many other events (Thompson's sudden lust for power, Sousa's separation from Violet, the plenty literal deus ex machinas) the final Peggy/Sousa scene had little precedence. It was a sweet scene, but it felt like they were simply trying to answer the question of Peggy's husband just in case there's no Season 3. I think the situation called for some more tease, even if the two were supposed to end up with each other. On the other hand, the final Thompson scene was the polar opposite. In that case they seem to take it for granted that Season 3 is going to happen. Effectively, they make the audience question the very fate of a major character, while giving a rushed resolution of much less priority to two others.

On a more positive note, Season 2 did do many right things. The change of setup from NY to LA gave it a personality of its own. Canonically, it further showcased SSR's scale and exposed the reasons it may eventually become unfit to do the job SHIELD undertakes. As Peggy's allies within SSR continue to grow, it also introduces potential agents that may eventually join early SHIELD -- and likewise, cases like Varnon Stars introduce the issues the organization may initially face. Speaking of characters, Season 2 also did a good job with some of them. Ana was utterly charming and had great chemistry with Jarvis. Secondary ones like Rose and Samberly also did a great job, particularly when it comes to comic relief. Jason and Whitney were problematic in some areas, be it with their narrative dragging on or their motivations being unclear, but they weren't too bad either. As far as the returning cast is concerned, Jarvis stood out for me. But all of them were great, maybe except Thompson.

Overall, Season 2 was weaker than Season 1. The main issue was misuse of their time and pressure to give a sense of finality while still wanting to bring new things on the table. However, I definitely enjoyed many aspects of it and on the grand scheme of MCU things, I'm glad it happened.

If the show really did end up on Netflix I would Assume Netflix would already have a portion of marvel originals for you to also check out.
Daredevil is really good if you haven't seen it yet

All in all I though Agent Carter S2 was... alright. A definite step above S1 in character, tone, and story. Not as big a difference as the SHIELD turnaround from S1 -> S2; it never really sucked me in and it'd be tough to call it "good."

I'd watch a third season for sure, but all told I'd say Carter remains the worst MCU TV show by a pretty fair margin. Lots of potential that it never really reached.

Ooh, hopefully that's the case and he'd be back.

Hopefully we get a third season.

That ending is calling for a third season.

I wonder if they'll maybe rotate Most Wanted (if its successful) with Agent Carter so one year we'll get Aos + Most Wanted then the next AoS + Agent Carter.

That was a pretty weak finale.

The resolution of the Wilkes storyline was underwhelming (he blew up, but nothing happened). Frost didn't do anything; the climax ended up being a tug-of-war and a CG'ed hovercar. The sudden shift to Manfredi was a bit jarring; he basically went from evil henchman to pining lover overnight. Timing-wise they had too many threads to wrap up so things felt rushed at the end.

I'm really hoping that like last season with the obelisk, SHIELD finds out more about the rift/zero matter in the current timeline with some call backs to this last bit of Agent Carter.
