Wow. That is terrible....just wow. Gifs are so good at exposing awful.

Wow, I'm glad I read it before it got taken down.

A quick spoiler free summary of what it said:

- best Marvel movie ever, even better than CA:WS and Iron Man
- best super hero fight scene ever
- this 3rd Captain America movie makes his three films the best super hero trilogy of all time
- Spider Man is finally done right on the big screen
- excellent character interactions
- the movie has a better story and script than the trailers have led to believe
- it will make a fuck ton of money

Basically, the reviewer was surprised at just how good it actually was.

I was keeping my hype in check ... but fuck man this sounds ridiculous

These are the kind of early impressions from hardcore fans that always make me chuckle. Earned? What does that even mean?

AKA they didn't just cash in on characters and name-brand to carry the film; they actually produced a great film as well (in other words: the opposite of BvS)

It shows the release date for this is May 6th, how the fuck are people getting in to see it tonight?

Am I missing something?

How do I not miss this something?

If this thing scores like an 85% or higher on Rotten Tomatoes the bets are all off in terms of box office. 1 Billion will be easy

It's a stretch, but I'd love to see this movie top Jurassic World in WW/domestic gross.

cause that movie was a fucking abomination and it makes me depressed that it even cracked a billion

I am happy to hear the good impressions for Black Panther and I am happy that Chadwick Boseman is to follow up Gods of Egypt with this role. It probably has saved his career

Is two hours too late?

For a movie like this? 3-4 would be a safer bet. But who knows. If they gave out more tickets than seats for the screening then yeah there will be fuckery. If not, you could still be fine with 2...but you're cutting it close.

I don't think I'll be going to this at midnight. Probably Saturday or Sunday. I should buy tickets ahead of time anyway, though.

I haven't seen the Amazing films, I should probably watch the first.

I like the first one a lot. Spidey is finally appropriately snarky and has more spider-like qualities in some of his fighting. Plus his chemistry with Gwen is cute and they actually started going out in real life during the movie.

I'd rather do laundry or mop floors than watch the second one again though. A lot of people shifted behind the scenes for this one, Avi Arad tightened his grasp, and it turned out so bad that James Horner declined to return. There's a reason Sony gave up and made a deal with Marvel. It was a disaster.

Even with that shitty movie his capabilities as a actor has been shown in Get On Up.

He did a perfect James Brown.

They filmed this stupid movie in my city and I couldn't get screener tickets

I feel like there's some sort of massive injustice happening here

You all suck!

That feel when the movie filmed in your city and you were an extra in it and still couldn't get screener tickets.

I mean, they paid me, but still, damn. :p

I just checked with the theater. They said that I should show up at around 2-3pm CST. I may have to miss class entirely & just get the notes from a friend.

they filmed it here in ATL?

damn we really are the new Hollywood... you're lucky as hell you got to be an extra

Lol what the fuck
That theater is joshing you, that's total bullshit. The majority of people getting there are going to go after work obviously

Remember these theaters seat like 400 if they're the good ones

Yeah I tend to agree, but man I still am not sure if it can do that with the name Captain America and not The Avengers, but maybe I'm underestimating it.

I'm expecting around Iron Man 3 gross for this one

For the record I don't think this movie will beat Ultron, but if any non-Avengers movie would it's Civil War

Hoping the positive WOM pushes it through

Alright, my friend bailed so I'm probably not making the trek from Columbus to Cincinnati for the screening tomorrow, plus I'm getting scared away by these 3-4 hour early suggestions, since I could be in line at the theater about 2.5 hours early at most.

I'm going to hang on to the ticket for now, but if I 100% decide not to go I'll offer my ticket (good for 2 people) up, just remember that they may check ID and not let you in.

Yep! And they held a casting call for Guardians 2 earlier this year + will be filming Spider-Man here. Just gotta keep your eye out and respond to the casting calls. Wasn't even difficult; just had to send in a few photos for the particular scene(s) I was in.

EDIT: And, yeah, the filming days were fucking long but it was a really cool experience. Would recommend.
