Season premiere tonight
S04E01:
The Collapse of Nature - Sarah's respite in Iceland is ruined by a Neolution attack; when Sarah is forced to flee, she realizes she can never truly escape.

I was about to ask if anybody knew if Tatiana has ever talked about her training routine since she's built like a dancer or an amateur gymnast. Lo and behold, an old interview reveals that she's a trained flamenco dancer.

Dressed in black shorts and boots, with her naturally curly hair worn down, Maslany explained how dance helped her get into character — all seven of them. To play tightly wound soccer mom Alison, the Canadian actress drew on the flamenco training she's received since age 4. “It had to be something very rigid, everything held tight,” said Maslany. “Stomach in, bum in, very precise motions, very feminine.”

Is there anything this girl can't do?

I haven't dipped into the OB thread or even watched the season trailer; too many spoilers flying around here and there. So just wanted to pop in and say I am so hyped for The Woman of a Thousand Faces to be finally back on the air.

Holy hell that was a good episode.
Poor beth :( If I was living under those circumstances, I'd probably walk into a train myself.

I've been meaning to re-watch the entire series but never got around to it, but after this episode, it is the BEST time to re-watch even at least the pilot. It will be such a pleasure to see everything align with the new reveals in this season premiere.

Well, it was written well and acted well and I guess it sets up some events for this season, but I don't find Beth a very likeable or interesting character, so it was kind of a meh episode for me. It was interesting to see some of the backstory we've heard about and to see the other sisters pre-Sarah, but eh...I hope that's the end of the Beth story. It was a pleasant surprise to see Matt Frewer again though.

What country is MK supposed to be from? Didn't we find out another eastern European sistra died in season 2? Curious why MK has not contacted Sarah until now... did she not trust her?

p.s. they aren't even trying to hide the Canadian at this point...that Jag clearly had Ontario plates...haha

Bold decision to open the season with a flashback episode dealing almost entirely with characters who are dead in the present. I thought it was good though. I liked that we finally got the full story on what was going on with Beth prior to her death. (although I feel like that was already elaborated on in previous seasons...?)

Random thoughts:

The new clone seems interesting, but I'm curious as to why she's only just now contacting Sarah.

The tail guy! :D

This was way better than I anticipated, really liked the decision to make set it before the show sprawled out. Recaptured that focus which made season 1 so incredible. Hope that said focus remains throughout the season.

God this premiere reminded me of my numerous embarrassing 'Beth is alive' theories during the season 1 days. For some reason a character who dies in the first scene of the show practically became my favorite.

We finally got Beth scenes...and she's still alive I betcha!

I almost thought they were going to go for a semi-reboot by exploring Beth more this season. I'm still a little disappointed that they didn't partly because there is just so much bloat built up from the past three seasons but at least they seemingly recognize that.

But thankfully it's not a prequel so Paul is actually dead and we have more Alison Helena/Donny shenanigans, so I can't wait.

Seemed like a potentially big oversight on Allison's part to just send Ramon to Beth like that.

If she hadn't been wearing shades, he would've been freaked the fuck out.

Oof, looks like the move to Thursdays didn't help the show's ratings at all - 229K viewers which is a series low. (last season averaged 438K viewers)

I don't think BBC America/Space will cancel the show prematurely, but I do wonder if maybe they'll move it back to Saturdays next season? It would certainly face less competition if it did.

What I mean is that Alison's daughter and Beth aren't blood related. Do they not check for that?

EDIT: Whoops, OK, I'm trippin'.

It's a drug test.

Solid episode. They had to characterize Beth properly without making her mannerisms seem unrealistic. I had a small fear of this since Beth before season 4 as we knew her was just a character we saw briefly through a couple of video clips and flashbacks.

The portrayal of Beth was really convincing. The fact that they're still able to make clones easily distinguishable through just personality is still a great and consistent thing. The most interesting part was Beth's interaction with Paul, never seen Tatiana act that way before on this show.

Watching now.

This webcam chat with MK and Beth...where is the webcam? lol

MK looking at Beth's phone, which is angled towards the screen kind of took me out of it. But it's no big deal.

That was damn good. An entire episode dedicated to Beth is what I've been hoping for.

Duko = Bootleg Sharlto Copley.

Art/Beth. Strongly hinted that they were more than just partners, neat to see it play out briefly.

I'm not on the "Beth is alive" train just yet. I don't know if I want that to be how Season 4 plays out, but I guess we'll wait and see.
