Can't wait to see the intro to this level remastered.

Will not be paying $110 to play MW again esp with only 10 maps lol. I'm sure it will be sold separately alongside a remastered collection or remastered MW2. IW will be more than enough COD for me if it's as good as BOIII or better.

Man, 10 maps is a bummer. COD 4 is the only COD game where I literally wouldn't cut a single map, they are all great. It is probably a good sign that they are fully remastering it, if it was just an upscale job they'd have no reason not to include all of them. I'd rather there was barely any work done on it but it had every map though, I basically just want a new player base for console COD4. I don't really care about improvements.

Also not sure I'm willing to pay whatever crazy price they charge for it + Infinite Warfare.

My map list.

Ambush

Crash
Creek
Crossfire
District

Killhouse (Call of Duty 4)

Overgrown

Wet Work (map)

No Broadcast!? Are you serious? It was by far the best map for SnD.

10. Overgrown <- And this one
11. Pipeline

If COD4 is sold seperately, is it possible that it outsells the new version? Personally I'm not touching the new COD any time soon. Have skipped the last two because it just keeps on getting more crazy and less balanced.

Give me that sweet sweet G3. I've missed that gun ever since.

It will be interesting were the player base plays

Some people such as myself, was not on the cod bandwagon when cod 4 came out. I've mostly played the newer stuff. From bo2 forward.

Meaning I'm used to how the games have developed now, and how they play. I wonder if going back will feel inferior, and perhaps cod 4 was great for its time but has been outdone by now?

I don't know. I am intrigued to play two new cod games. Just worried that the player base will split too much..... And that's without dlc in the conversation yet

Definitely interested in seeing people how people like you feel about Modern Warfare. Like personally I still return to it, MW2 and Black Ops and enjoy them more then what they are putting out now, but I can see newer fans seeing them as a little slow, missing current features they like, or just a bit underwhelming as the series as continually gotten bigger and more bombastic with more iterations.

I forgot about Bog. MW1 had amazing maps, I even occasionally enjoyed Shipment.

Only thing I'm dreading for this if I end up playing it, is I'd probably play campaign on the highest difficulty and that was PAINFUL.

I really hope this gets a proper update. I've just finished playing the Uncharted Collection and I thought it was so gorgeous and so polished it could pass for a current-gen series. I'd love to see the same level of care applied to the MW series.

What makes you think they won't do MW2 very soon - maybe even next year?

Since IW owns the MW franchise wouldn't they have to wait until it's their turn again which will be in 2019?

The SP was great in MW but the online was bland. Obviously the game is going to lose something with removal of 7 maps.

I'm wondering. If you can only get Modern Warfare Remastered with Infinite Warfare. And you only get 10 maps. Does that mean that the other 10 maps will come trough DLC? And does that mean that Modern Warfare Remastered DLC is also packaged with Infinite Warfare DLC? That would be really nasty. I'm planning to sell Infinite Warfare day one.

Sell it day one with no idea what it is yet?

Nice.

As for maps, if I had to, I'd get rid of:

Bog
Chinatown (DLC)
Creek (DLC)
Killhouse (DLC)
Countdown
Showdown
Wetwork

.. which would leave 2 more to get rid of. Man that's tough.

Broadcast (DLC)
Bloc

Leaving:

Ambush
Backlot
Crash
Crossfire
District
Downpour
Overgrown
Shipment
Strike
Vacant

Not really, if it was it'd have been popular in promod scene but it wasn't even in the rotation.

The most popular maps among the pro scene for SnD in that game were

Crash
Strike
Crossfire
Backlot
District
Vacant

In mostly that order.

Lol yeah that's pathetic if true.

They just had to fuck it up somehow.

Again, you are getting a brand new CoD game this year and the Modern Warfare Remaster + 10 maps is a freaking bonus. What are you expecting? Them releasing 2 full MP modes? To call it pathetic, is just laughable.

if you play a modern COD mp match today.. you will soon notice that the same maps are chosen OVER and OVER and OVER again...

so if it would launch with all 17 maps you would probably only get to play 2-3 of them anyway..

I still don't trust that image though.. but hopefully I will be proven wrong soon,. ( I love Modern Warfare)
