Raven Software Developing MW Remastered + Crash/Backlot/Crossfire Confirmed For MP

Great upgrade. I would have bought it standalone for $40 if they asked. I keep telling myself I won't buy the new COD but then I do.

I could see it. Would fit nicely into two packs with five maps each.
I don't mean to sound ungrateful, but this just seems kind of silly. When was the last time a remaster didn't ship with all of the dlc from the original game? Let alone the main content in the game? I really shouldn't complain, and I'm likely going to buy it anyways. It just doesn't sit right with me.

game of the year for me. Dont care if its a remaster, its THE remaster.

Im so happy crossfire & Backlot are back. They were fucking awesome. I didnt hate crash, I just never got the hype for it, i thought the rest were better except bog, bloc, shipment & countdown. Those were bottom 4 for me.

I hope these are the final 10, so hard to narrow it down as I love them all really.

Backlot
Crash
Crossfire

District
Downpour
Overgrown
Strike
Wet Work
Vacant

Call of Duty just activated their Titanfall 2 trap card contingency.

I hope Respawn Entertainment weren't planning on launching a game this year. They'd be going up against their own best work.

Do you guys remember when raven made amazing original games and not Call of Duty DLC?

Those were the days

Someone in the E3 hype thread mentioned looking forward to a Star Wars game announcement, and all I could think was, "Why? It's not like Raven will be involved."

That said, hope Raven do a bang up job with the re-master and get plenty of credit for it. Sounds like a lot of people are looking forward to it, so it might be a nice opportunity for them to get a bit more of the lime-light than they've had recently.

I'm curious as to how much codes for MW: Remastered will go for online. Can see people charging a premium for that.

Any idea what the cheapest option to get MW will be in GBP? No retailer is listing it yet.

£60?

I'm going to guess GAME exclusive and it'll probably be £70.

I'm expecting Titanfall 2 to be March 2017. Around the same timeframe the first game was. Depends when the next Battlefield is launching.

You know what's great is if you go on YouTube and watch matches on these maps and the design quality is just sickeningly good.

Do you remember when you could have shootouts at more than 5 metres away?

Do you remember when sprinting around with SMGs wasn't the only viable playstyle?

Do you remember when spawns weren't vomit-inducingly shit?

I have a feeling Titanfall will spring. Battlefield will be winter.

Before I get to excited about this I need to know if I can buy this without having to buy Infinite Warfare as well. Not that I don't like what they're showing off but it's so easy for that to go to crap. MW1 is proven and as a result it has my attention first and foremost. However I'm not about to spend $90+ just to get it though.

It'll likely be available a few months to a year after infinite warfare.

Since Crash is confirmed I guarantee Overgrown isn't in.

I really hope so. Not going to hold my breath just yet though.

However with this news I wonder if MW1 multiplayer (especially the PC version) will spike leading up to it's release.

Raven's doing it? Awesome news. Great studio and I'm sure they'll give this game the care attention it deserves.

My guess? You absolutely will be able to buy it standalone, but they're not going to mention that for a while in an effort to try and keep pre-orders from people who are only interested in COD4. Either way, they'll probably mention it at E3.

Not a chance in hell that this won't get a standalone release.

Yep, this. They want to have droves of people pre-ordering the bundle, for now.

I've just said to my CoD friends that I'm now officially back in the game. So good.

Even better, I've already played CoD 4 online but at a friend's place so I may even enjoy the solo too ^^

Every topic I've been in it seems like selling it only with Infinite Warfare is a massive money-making move. And I'm sure Activision will have picked up on that.

They're using it to bolster the sales of the series. If they sold it separately, and it sold admirably when Infinite Warfare sells poorly, that wouldn't look good for the future of the franchise, and I don't think they'll take that risk.

He means he was confusing portions of Singularity with Wolf09. Did you stop reading the post at the part you emboldened? ;)

Oh LOL, no I read it heh. I just misunderstood what he wrote lol. Brain fart on my part, apologies.

Right side: Modern Warfare remastered

Left side: Modern Warfare remastered promod, switch everything off gotta get dat 250fps for crate jump

Also, even though Raven have been downsized over the years and their current team is largely (probably) not the same group who brought us all of their classic games - it's great to see them finally get a bit of a bigger project after being a map-factory for the last five years.

Oh Raven Software....I guess I should be glad that Activision has decided to keep the studio open, but man is it a damn shame that the developer of some of my favorite games has been relegated to nothing more than a Call of Duty mappack maker.

Singularity is the title that Raven should be remastering.

There's gonna be alot of cheap copies of infinite warfare floating around after launch, that's for sure.

Silenced P90
2x RPG's
UAV Jammer
Dead Silence

Game on.

Yep, this. They don't want to have COD4 overshadow COD:IW, at least for a while. They want to have droves of people pre-ordering the bundle, for now.

I suspect it will just not at release. I'm already willing to shell out the $80 for it honestly.

Yes, it will be stand alone, but the question is "when"

I would imagine probably not until a few months after release.

Oh, it's already spent. I have zero interest in Infinite Warfare with BF5 coming out simultaneously, but I'll pay 80 bucks for COD4:R without a second thought.

From what we know both Titanfall 2 and Battlefield are due this year, while Mass Effect Andromeda has been moved to March 2017.

I said this to my brother the other day. A bunch of the Respawn guys are going to have their new game competing against the best version of themselves from ten years ago.
