Nation of cunts. Fuck the "it's a tiny minority" excuse, we had a vote on division and this is the result. Fuck this country
President Obama's shrug at Brexit is a fucking betrayal. He's objectively the worst US President Europe has ever had. Implying nothing will change for 'average people' and that the UK will adopt the Norwegian EU associate model just shows how completely ignorant/disinterested in Europe. Obama is happiest talking to young entrepreneurs in a restaurant in Hanoi, sounding cool and achieving nothing.

And fuck you too. You're reaching so hard to shit on Obama - no one here gives a fuck. Take it to US PoliGAF if you just want to whine

Will be amazing if Hunt gets his second referendum and it comes back that 'Yes, we should endorse full freedom of movement across the UK for EU citizens'.

So these got voided

David Cameron has claimed victory and pledged to campaign with “all my heart and soul” to keep Britain inside the EU after a deal was struck on Friday evening to redraw the terms of the UK’s membership.

Leaders of the other 27 member nations agreed to a deal that will see:

a seven-year term for the emergency brake to restrict EU migrants in the UK claiming in-work benefits.
child benefit payments indexed to the cost of living for children living outside the UK for all new arrivals to the UK, extending to all workers from 1 January 2020.
any single non-eurozone country able to force a debate among EU leaders about ‘problem’ eurozone laws – though they will not have a veto.
an unequivocal opt-out stating that EU treaty “references to ever-closer union do not apply to the United Kingdom”.

not sure if posted, from the farage speach today.

The reason he is laughing so hard is that the translation coming through his headphones is something akin to

"I'm a tool, I'm a tool, I'm a tool tool tool" or the verbal equivalent of that 'meanwhile at nintendo gif from gaming side.

Can we not have Farage charged with treason or something? Clearly this is all part of a plot to destroy the UK, it just has to be... ;_;

Nah. I live in London, but I'm sort of paranoid now everytime I get on the bus or walk past a group of English people. Brexit is at the forefront of everyone's mind, so I feel like people will be more inclined to resort to a racist Brexit remark when faced with a frustrating situation e.g. being held up at the supermarket check out or cash machine or waiting for a doctors appointment.

I've either had or overhead several conversations with my non-EU work colleagues about their racism worries.
Feels absolutely awful.
Luckily, no-one's seen an obvious upsurge in racism around our area but they're all scared every time they open their mouths and reveal their accent while shopping or whatever.

Doesn't help that we work in a very old, very white area. So while most people won't be openly racist, my friends know that most of these people secretly want them out of the country.
My desire to help old ladies across the road is at an all-time low.

Yeah, I can't help that feeling. If I know someone has voted leave, my opinion of them will have changed.

Hunt won make top two, when you say something like he did, you instantly become divisive, and MP's will be worried come a GE they might lose their seat because of his position (outside London MP's)

if reports are true Boris allready has 100MP's on side it will be a one man show for leadership

He was right though, 17 years ago he warned them, they did not listen...the upside for his enemies is he will never have serious power as he can not help but gloat...

it needed a gentle tone today, not HA HA I TOLD YOU SO, whilst sticking his tongue out, and you know he got to them when he said Britain wont be the only country to leave the EU......silence

Farage says the real prejudice is against people who are anti-establishment/anti-EU, not against anyone suffering racial abuse as "bad things are said on both sides" (which is probably true on a basic level but still)....

So as soon as possible involvement of art 50 is EU getting us to back out ? Norway deal must be incoming . With free movement etc

Or ultimate punishment . Ignore article 50. Force uk to stay. But dimihshed role ahahah

What he said there is not important.

What is important is whether people punched him in the face immediately after he said that?

EU can't do anything while the UK is waddling about. Well, anything other than loudly saying "we would appreciate a decision from the UK ASAP".

Isn't this idea completely dead now? The version of his plan I read was based on pre-negotiating then holding a referendum before activating Article 50. It was cloud-cuckoo land when he said it, and confirmed not happening after the EU meeting today.

There is no "no big obstacle" to an independent Scotland joining the EU before Brexit, former Prime Minister of Belgium Guy Verhofstadt has said. Guy leads leads the fourth biggest European party.

And postponing any decision on funds for the United Kingdom, and sideline any British official, and start preparations.

We knew it would come...UK is saying free trade and immigration controls....EU is saying free trade comes with free movement...

and I still say some deal will be done with clever wording and I predict free movement of Labour...and when you read into the nitty gritty it will be people have to have jobs before they can come...

I personally think that is a good start

He is being Tim Fallen and playing to the 48

Won't somebody think of the racists?

Someone's got to bat for them :(

A lot of my friends from Uni are going away (either to their home countries or just abroad) on holiday over the summer which...is probably good because it'd feel tragic beyond compare for them to be subject to any racial abuse since they're all so damn nice.

Something that sounds bad to Leave supporters but is good on closer inspection? Surely hats the opposite of what we would need?

There is a side with 100s of people preparing this, that can fall back on years worth of legislation. Any deal will probably read: free movement - apply article XYZ in the fullest, no exceptions.

I just saw Farage's speech in the EU Parliament.

Wow, what a fucking joke. The dude just insults everyone there. Jesus, as a country we're a massive joke.

Right, should've said anything about Article 50. They did just cancel UKs special deal since it hinged on the referendum.

Er, it was still an option being discussed on Radio 4 just before the 'Good Read' today (sry, can't remember timestamp but pretty sure it was on this show):

http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b07kdsdl

It was discussed generally as an option. I assumed it was on the table if Hunt runs for premiership with a view to announce official position in October. Whether we can get another referendum that quick is another question.....

In fairness, Farage has been doing that since you guys sent him to Brussels. Until this whole thing went down I thought it was a classic bit of British humor to refuse to make Farage an MP every time but to happily elect him to the European Parliament which he doesn't think should exist.

I wasn't really sure whether the joke was on Farage or on Europe. Unfortunately now it turns out the joke was something entirely different.

They expect Cameron notifying of the referendum to be an Article 50 trigger?

In that case, wouldn't this happen by tomorrow?

That is what they are saying, yeah. but its all based on the dubious claim laid out in (1) that the referendum is binding

I wonder how Cameron will respond given he has made clear he does not want to start the process. I'm also curious what remainers who have been pushing to throw out the result think of the EU's statement that it must be fully respected

No shit, just look at the abuse and insults thrown to Leave voters in this thread. Ignoring the racial abuse isn't on, obviously, but he half a point.

Health Commissioner Vytenis Andriukaitis, as Dascu pointed out a good while ago (hard to miss, this thread is a monster).

Some his roles:

Totally the kind of Eurocrat allowed to take the piss on Farage for claiming that the EU has more to lose than the UK.

Nigel Farage's role:

Disrupt everything
Contribute nothing
Have pathetic little flag on desk, hoping that someone asks him to take it down so he can cause a huge fuss but everyone just leaves him to it because they know what a wretched little cunt he is

EU for UK to admit they not ready. Uk are so in shambles . EU helps out. they know we need help and weak
By confronting the issue and forcing us to admit. It will wreck the tories . Kill farage career make other leave groups realise the reality. Cameron Boris and all lose credit resign . New government in and we stay

That's the example

Humiliation humbled
