PoGo has an update in the play store.

- Added a dialog to remind Trainers that they should not play while traveling above a certain speed; Trainers will have to indicate they aren’t the driver
- Fixed a bug that prevented ”Nice,” ”Great,” and “Excellent” Poké Ball throws from awarding the appropriate XP bonuses
- Enabled the ability for Trainers to change their nickname one time, so please choose your new nickname wisely
- Resolved issues with the battery saver mode on iOS and re-enabled the feature
- Other fixes

Love my new Gyarados. Takes down gyms quite well.

Also, for the Poke assistant. You need to do the refine thing to narrow down the IVs. It's very easy.

I'm wasting so much stardust on checking them tho...

I also realized that they could easy monetize IV checking in game by making a tool like the incubator for it, or have an endless use item with a cool down to which you can buy additional charges to bypass the timer.

I confirm that Grimer makes my Moto X (2nd gen) on Android 6.0 crash.

I'm considering getting a squad together, lvl a gym all the way up and deposit my hatched grimer as the last Pokemon and hope it crashes any attackers game. If I can even deposit the menace myself.

I got the radar / nearby tool pokemonnearby io - back up -- for the moment anyway.

(if they have implemented any account bans server side then it might stop working after load, or time, or other things I don't know about yet).

Wow, I got such a rush of happiness now! Hopefully some elusive rares like Dratini will spawn around my house so I can log their spawn points.

Actually, I think that is an iOS version update. There's no update in the play store, it's still the previous version.

EDIT: NVM, the play store just refreshed for me lol.

First pokemon encounter after the update:

140 CP Weedle.

Toss 1 pokeball.

Weedle breaks out.

Weedle flees.

Them "bugs"

I just updated the Android version. Those screenshots above are clearly Android too.

huh, interesting! Anything else seem different?
Everything else looks about the same. I need to go out into the wild for more testing.
Just noticed this too. Wonder if it'll change the background if the Pokemon is sighted near water etc.
Funny you mentioned water, I just had a Goldeen pop up out of the grass lol

Nah, I'm on Android.

Uh oh. Hopefully I can still get 2km from driving to the grocery store.

Those "Other Fixes" better include the catch rate.

My guess is the grass will shake when the pokemon is closeby.

Checked if the grimer glitch is gone, it's not. App won't launch at all now. Trying to restart my phone.

lol does the grass appear no matter the location? I guess it would be cool if the grass only appears when the Pokemon is located at a park. Something like that can't be too hard to code right?

By the way, nearby doesn't match up with the new sightings feature, saw a pikachu that your site doesn't seem to pick up on.

Just noticed this too. Wonder if it'll change the background if the Pokemon is sighted near water etc.

Have a Horsea with gras, but I'm not currently near any body of water.

Anyone else can confirm ? Someone on Reddit confirmed that testing and was able to find a pokemon.

I did some testing with the new Sighting (Nearby Replacement) and found some things out with it.

It scans the area around you roughly every ~15 seconds
Any new pokemon that spawn on this scan will be added to the sightings list.
If a pokemon despawns it will be removed from the sightings list.
If you move too far away from a pokemon it will be removed from the sightings list.

On number 4 I found this distance to be around 700 feet (which is what I believe the 3 step max use to be).

Not that it's a big deal but I disliked the added grass to Sightings. It feels more cluttered and it doesn't look as nice as the clean setup before.
