Street Fighter V |OTV| BUFF MY MAIN & NERF THE CHARACTER I JUST LOST TO

And it's the worst when they just barely beat you in a nail-bitter, and then don't rematch. Jerks, they know! They know what was gonna happen.
Lol...I'll be like see me in battle lounge yo, youz a faux Gold, you ain't taking my points!!!

On ranked mattering though I agree it's more accurate than say SF4 for gauging skill level. You just have to keep up with the general flow of top players.

At launch, the standard for competent players was reaching Gold. Momochi, Diago, etc...were the first to hit diamond.

Now, diamond is the new platinum. If you play long enough, you'll get there, as so much of the good players are now battling it out in the upper part of Diamond and super diamond and once again the top players like Momochi and Diago hit the 30K mark which is Master I believe.

You can cheese your way to a lot of points, but again, you still have to win and play "A LOT" so even if a diamond player isn't as good as the next one, they have some fundamental skills that are above average.

@Syncere It was fate...the salt gods in your favor lol

Man this game stresses me out so much sometimes.

How do these players get so far? It's not that I don't know how to punish them it's just I don't execute it consistently and they don't stop. They get punished out of it and I assume that they'll stop but they just do it again, and again, when it's completely unexpected, and I struggle to react to that. I guess I just need to play more, but matches like these really kill any sense of progress.
thats the key there. Not stressing...

This is why I don't play ranked as much, just knowing something is "on the line" gives me anxiety and I can't play as well as I can in a lobby. Ironically, I would probably be better off going to tourney.

But yeah progression is just about playing a little every day and always learning. It helps to play good players often as well. Random will always get you sometimes, but you can progress to the level of it being like 1/20 matches or even higher by just improving. Especially now without FADC. Randomness doesn't get you as far in SFV. You have to get hit a few times with it at least, and then you have to question is the guy really a random scrub or an evil genius aka Eita lol..

Yeah, apparently, lol. I've had that happen a few times and yeah, i also do the saltyrunback battle lounge request. I get a few comers with that. Surprisingly, one recent Juri that I thought I had their number, kept edging me out each set, after repeated run-ins in ranked (though I think I got one set on em), then took it to Battle Lounge, only to loose due to family distraction. Ugh.

I've literally hit Platinum twice now, only to loose a dozen hundred points immediately afterwards due to similar shit. I've not played a lot of ranked period. Only just now starting to go back to it since I've seen people that I'm as good or better than start to outrank me.

To be fair, Ken's special moves are pretty op. https://youtu.be/E11zi16Iek4(early vid of me playing juri vs a ken)
What you could do is find the replay or record your matches to study them. Find what your limits are so you can improve and go beyond them. I started doing that and I've gotten far better. I cant tell you anything more because frankly I'm just a scrub trying to be better. This is probably my most recent match with a ken. i lost but got some good hits in though.

I don't know Juri at all so maybe he's OP against her, but really that first Ken was just doing things and you were also doing things with unlucky timing. If you had been more conservative, he would have hung himself. That last EX DP beat you because you either weren't doing a legit combo or rollback changed your fate in an unfortunate way.

Balrog's win against Nash is good. "How does it feel to be killed twice?"

I like that ryu's are always nice and uplifting but cammy's are always super mean lmao. Like one of them is you can fight me 100 times but still can't beat me or something like that.

I love Mika's cuz all of hers are so innocent and pure. She just thinks everyone wants to wrestle with her.

Alex's are tragically boring, though. Gone is the rude, snarky Alex from SFIII and in his place is a sedate, somewhat polite lunkhead.

Alex became at ease

The stats bot won't work for me, could someone please retrieve my stats for me? I'm really curious. CFN is LukeJS. Thanks.

So if the patch is 800mb probably just some bug fixes?

Better than the concept art, but eh. I mean, I'll probably get it, but I'm more excited for the Nostalgic Costumes for Alex & Ibuki and the Akiman costume for Chun-Li.

I think that'll happen with most premium costumes from now on.
I sure as hell hope so. And as someone here mentioned, I hope Capcom goes back & adds alt versions for other costumes, or even some defaults (hell, let Guile take on or off the shades depending on if the costume in question has them or not).

Someone has done the unthinkable and modded Chun to be less thick

To whoever made this monstrosity of a mod...

who are they counselling for these costume picks? fuck it, at this point just make the option of making them a option for cpt winners.

Unless chun earrings make noise with each hit.

I like Ryu's outfit but why not give it Ken instead?
It makes zero sense for Ryu to be dressed like that, and Ken needs new costumes more than Ryu.

Actually the same could be said about Chun's costume going to Laura (though I won't complain about that one as she's my main).
