Street Fighter V: Season 2 changes

Don't forget that she can alter her jump midway through, that's rare in this game.
And her crouching fierce gets her in, too.

Oh my goddness, Mika! Well good thing I moved on from her early due to dlc characters and I haven't had time to go back. She murders in the corner still so it looks fine. Just can't get a crazy Irish whip combo in the middle of the screen. People will adapt fast.

Funny thing is that Bison is really good online. Like top tier good according to all stats I have seen. I hope they have lower skill levels in mind, too.

You are really underselling her, come on. She has more tools to get in than most of the cast. And the last line is false from what I understand.
Bison is a noobstomper. He's on top because he blows up people in the lowest skill bracket. As you go up to the next 20%, then the next, he drops every time. It's virtually a straight downward slope.

The changes he got seem to be buffs across the board including his walk speed. Bison is probably going to be a problem next season and just watching vids of some of Akumas shenanigans I am hoping PSX Akuma isn't the final version because if so ...... good lord.

am i reading it wrong or does it say alex beats chun 6-4

pls tell me so i can dismiss quuuick
The other way around. And you shouldn't dismiss it anyway since it's based on actual data. About 5,000 matches for that one match-up.

Low to mid, not just lowest. It's going to be frustrating for Bronze/Silvers to deal with him. Git gud and all of course.

I mean, we should probably wait a few months before we make any rash judgement calls about Akuma.

Kind of off topic, but aerial V-Triggering to extend/create air based combos would be kind of cool! Anyone thinking this may happen? Or maybe certain characters will be able to. I kind of think it would have been cool to have across the roster.

Forward, d.Roundhousex2, H.Kasumigake > HP, HK > Trigger > EX Kunai (Jab+Strong) to relaunch (juggle the landing) into whatever you fancy, for example...

Come on, the only important change this game needed was to speed up those horrible loading times and there's no mention of this.

From Nash Discord

Forward Dash is Slower
Backward Dash has Lesser Range
V reversal has more recovery
V trigger has more recovery
EX Sonic Scythe has startup invincibilty

I thought I read somewhere yesterday that every character can V Trigger cancel their special move now. Anybody know for sure if this is true?

Nobody's even bothered to try Birdie😭

Only change I've seen is LPN said his down forward HP nose dive has been nerfed to be more negative on block. Lol. Yep, trash character got NERFED. Other than that, he said Birdie is very similar. Maybe some subtle frame data changes.

I read that he would have 2 bar v-trigger and that h.dolphin dive would be faster. Can't find the comments anymore and I might have read wrong.

What? Time to stop spamming that then.

Skeptical on 2 bar VT since LPN didn't mention it and I figured that'd be a huge deal that he'd notice right away. I'm super skeptical on heavy dolphin dive being anything close to useful. The speed isn't the primary problem with the move. It's the fact that Birdie is so big and fat that he gets clipped by a lot of fireballs as he's about to land.

I really hope Bull Slider (the slide) is faster startup. Right now it starts up in 19 frames with upper body projectile invincibility. It's so slow that it's supposed to be a preemptive anti-fireball move, but you have to guess. And it was already punishable at -5 if you guessed wrong. They want everyone to get a fat combo on Birdie with a move that already requires guessing? I really need patch notes because if Birdie is the same or worse, he may be the only character to not win a CPT tournament in Season 1 or 2. (Maybe Juri too lol)

As a Sim player the numbers of buffs Sim got seems laughably overboard. I mean just changing limbs to always be plus on hit would of hugely changed his matchups, but they gave him so much shit I kinda can't believe it. I fear it won't last long, but I will enjoy all the underserved wins I get after being near the bottom for so long.

Went looking around Twitter for Ryu changes, and this is all I could find.

Ryu's back roundhouse is special cancellable on hit/block (second hit tested, didn't test first hit).

It's not a big deal, but it's actually a nice little buff. DP will sometimes whiff after st. HK, st. LK, DP because the opponent is pushed out of range. Being able to special cancel should take care of that problem.

The other nice thing about it is that you can use this to hit confirm into Super without the extra scaling. So st. HK > DP super 456, st. HK, st. LK, DP, Super does 439. Like I said, not a big deal but it helps a little. I'm still hoping for some other stuff to make him more interesting. I don't mind dealing with nerfs to get it. Just please have him be able to do more than the basic shit.

Yeah the 2 bar v-trig sounds too good to be true but we will see what happens.

Bull Slider being even more negative is really weird for sure. If you could cancel it into anything sure but since you can't I am not really sure it should be more negative.

Doesn't back roundhouse mean axe kick?

XSK Samurai listed a lot of changes for Ryu (mostly nerfs lol). I think they're on his twitter. Stuff like V Reversal is negative on hit, slower normals, stuff like that.

Back RH is axe kick.

No idea what they're doing with Birdie but I hope the subtle frame data changes are good. There are a few things I'd be happy about that could actually make him a lot better without anything major, but we'l wait and see I guess.

Yeah I meant to say axe kick or B+HK instead of st. HK, my mistake. So it's a small little buff but I'll take it since Ryu got hit kind of hard with this next update.

I know, I read all the other stuff already. That was one of the few bright spots from everything mentioned about Ryu so far. I've seen it mentioned several times that some of his normals are slower, but they are faster in V Trigger. Valle did mention damage buff along with faster normals in V Trigger mode. I don't want Denjin Ryu to basically revert back to Vanilla SFV Ryu. I hope the normals actually have frame advantage and allow Ryu to hit new links like Vanilla SFV Chun. Or basically SF4 Ryu.
