Capcom announces The Disney Afternoon Collection for PS, XB1 and PC [Port beg = ban]

Ok who drew this and let it get through? Scrooge being derp off model isn't too surprising but Baloo's fucking goggle's aren't even attached to anything, it's just the rims sitting on his nose. BAD intern tasked with drawing this in an hour, BAD!

Will buy on Steam. Only disappointed they're not full fledged "remasters" like DuckTales.

I'm still so happy that WayForward got Alan Young to reprise Scrooge for that game before he passed away. Whatever other flaws the remaster has, the reunion of the surviving voice cast will always endear it to me.

David Tennant sounds decent, but too young for Scrooge.

Haha, Scrooge looks like he was drawn for one of those bootleg VHS tapes they'd sell in the bargain bin at Kmart.

I'm stunned they got the licenses for these.

Disney has been a lot better about their IP being used in games recently. See any of the Marvel games by Activision coming back to the LucaArts adventure games that Tim Schafer worked on to the Star Wars deal with EA.

Damn I was just thinking the other day it would be sick if there was a Capcom/Disney collection! Will probably pick up at launch

I wish the original Ducktales remaster that came out on PS3 was included in this (obviously upgraded for PS4), why is it not included?

Even more shameful then! (To clarify I'm joking around, hence the intern having to do a rush job comment, it looks fine and I'm very familiar with finishing a piece of art and uploading it only to find a glaring simple mistake after the fact)

Also head's up everyone, if you're in the LA area and going to WonderCon at the end of the month, apparently they're gonna have this playable there!

No Goof Troop though? Garbageeeeee.

(These games are all pretty damn good though so I think I'll still pick it up. They just forgot the best game smh.)

I never thought I'd see these coming out. I like the Rewind feature for gamers like me who don't want to rip their hair out playing games. Count me in for this! Kudos to Capcom!

I'll be honest I didn't have a problem with this until you pointed out Baloo. Now it's going to bug me whenever I see it.

Yeah it was really great all around. I can't wait for the inevitable "reboot" game. Kinda makes me shocked to see posts like this...

Eh.

I actually never had a lot of fondness for the cartoons (and that's kind of what ruined the DT Remaster for me), I just like the games.

I'm not saying you're wrong or bad, I had just always assumed it you liked the game, you liked the cartoon.

Baloo's glasses are from the NES cover. They kinda do the same thing there.

To be fair, if that's the only reference working with it's totally understandable to not realize there are straps. It feels like common sense to me but only because I'm super familiar with the source material and know they're goggles and not just glasses (though even glasses would still have ear stems) BUT also to be fair in the original cover there's not even space to actually show the strap, it'd be in the space where his hat is covering.

Baloo almost never wears them in the show and even doing a google search only returns the NES cover as reference for him wearing them. I was just messing around cause it looks like he as Morpheus glasses on and these kinds of things are typically handed off to someone with little care if it'll be done right and barely any time to even do it at all. Even Disney's own stuff like their BluRay cases are rarely on model these days but my wording probably sounds way meaner than I meant it, super simple and easy goof and again something I've fallen victim too many times myself.

Not port begging but a question.. If capcom can release this could we see these as VC titles? Its almost the entire collection of missing licenced games. Seems like a solution to port begging.

If it means we get Mickey's Magical Quest and Aladdin then here's hoping.

That would be a cool "compromise". I mean I remember when Lucasarts had that promotion with Nintendo a while back releasing the Super Star Wars games on Wii VC. I think it was because of The Force Unleashed (???)

darkwing duck and tailspin are not good games. I'd go as far as to say ducktales2 and RR2 are huge drop offs in quality from their original games as well.

No buy from me on this one. I own every single one of those games(aside from DT2) in my collection.

Disagreed in regards to Darkwing Duck. I love that game. It's right up there wih DuckTales and Rescue Rangers IMO. I still give it a playthrough every now and again.

Hope this doesn't have the input lag of the Mega Man Collection. If the games don't run at least as well as they do on your average emulator, then it will feel kind of pointless.

Huh, that's nice for $19.99 assuming the ports are good. Will buy one and throw it in my Steam inventory to sell when it inevitably gets pulled.

It's not entirely terrible but Dale is the worst. He looks emaciated, sleep deprived or like he's on something... instead of a sweet lovable goof.

Never even heard of Talespin.

Hopefully they're good ports though, if they are I'll definitely get this on sale one day.

I'll get this just for the rewind feature. Maybe it'll let me practice enough that I can finally beat Rescue rangers without needing a game genie.

Hahahahahaha! I can't believe this! I called it in that thread where they were speculating what the nes collection purple were doing next.

I would assume they run at native 1080p (or higher?) but with options like scanlines for those who want the feel of CRT.

Output in 1080p. Render in 240p. Actually, 224p or fewer active lines for NES games.

Looks good. Integer scaling options are present; better to have bars on all four sides (or mild top/bottom cropping) than scaling artifacts.

Well, I couldn't be more in. I loved all of these games as a kid. I figured their next collection would've been an X collection, but this is just as good for me.
