Is the Destiny community on GAF worth looking into? I have plenty of people I play with on PS4, but could always use a few more.
The Destiny GAF community is legendary. It's the largest community on here if I'm remembering correctly.

60fps also wasn't the genre standard when those past games released though.
Every shooter is 60fps now except Destiny.
Cabal. Probably do have air support, but they're not going to give that away here.

Considering BF1 had destruction, 60 players on huuuuge maps with stellar graphics with vehicles and planes, Bungie can't come out with any excuses.I wouldn't count what BF1 is on base PS4 as actual 60 fps. Isn't it all over the place between like 40 and 60? And that's at 900p.
I will say I hope Bungie did some EXTENSIVE changes to the Cabal, as to me they were probably the worst enemy race in Destiny 1. They were either big bullet sponges or you spent a lot of time just shooting at their feet. Also they probably had the most boring designs imo as well.
Supposedly Cabal are the main enemy force in Destiny 2 so here's hoping they've done a ton of work on them
Destiny GAF is the best GAF.Is the Destiny community on GAF worth looking into? I have plenty of people I play with on PS4, but could always use a few more.
Well games with unlocked framerate like Battlefield are closer to 60 while on base they range from low 30s to 60 while running in 40s and 50s most of the time. The gap is already there.Sony doesn't allow MP games to have different framerates between Base and Pro modes, correct? You're not getting 60fps if they want to push visuals cause the Base model will hold it back. Prepare for "parity across platform" statements.

Destiny has larger maps though. BF1's framerate is quite shit on base PS4 honestly, conquest mode (the actual mode with huge 64 player maps) runs even worse.Considering BF1 had destruction, 60 players on huuuuge maps with stellar graphics with vehicles and planes, Bungie can't come out with any excuses.
The Battlefield games are also always super optimized on PC. It's great when you can alt-tab out to browse GAF, so hopefully Bungie steps it up with the PC port.
1380 hours for me.
but most of those 60 fps games aren't as pretty as destiny is
Is that a metric to decide if a game is optimised? Just use borderless window mode and you can alt-tab like 10 times in a minute in any game.

I hope they improve the character creator, add facial hair and add ability to customize hair in tower.
You want a barber shop?
Uh bf1 is linear for mp?Destiny is an open-world shooter. Comparing it to linear, scripted games like CoD or Battlefield doesn't make sense.
Like basically every open-world game on XB1/PS4, Destiny 2 will most likely be 30FPS for raids, strikes, and campaign stuff. At best I would hope for 60FPS in Crucible-only.....but I think for the sake of consistency they will probably keep the framerate the same in all modes.

lol yes

Destiny on the other hand feels extremely consistent controls wise because atleast until ROI's raid it never dipped.

Such as?
AgreedThe lore for Destiny is incredible. Hope they do a better in actually telling it through story and gameplay this time around.
I remember they said it was possible for destiny 1 (ps4/xbone) but they wanted to keep parity with the 360/ps3 versions because of their old plans of cross platform.
If they don't get 60 this time around I'll be dissapointed.
please have dedicated servers!!
Destiny is a different game than Battlefield of Call of Duty. It is a fairly large open world rather than more linear areas.
it is also, for all intents and purposes, a "last gen" game. Comparing Destiny for PS4/XB1 to Battlefield 1 isn't fair at all.
Destiny 2, on the other hand, is being built from the ground up for PS4 and XB1. If it looks as good as Battlefield 1, there's no reason to expect it to be 60fps due to the type of game it is.
What a shit announcement
Just an image on Twitter?
Are we going full minimalism now on announcements?

Ugh yeah that's why I've been groaning since I heard cabal focus, they are easily the less interesting of all the enemy types. The whole shooting at their hands in order to get them to drop their shields just to shoot down their health bar shields....Very annoying and I'm glad we didn't get a whole raid of that in destiny 1I will say I hope Bungie did some EXTENSIVE changes to the Cabal, as to me they were probably the worst enemy race in Destiny 1. Overwatch, COD, BF1, Halo 5, Titanfall 2, Siege, Doom, and just about every shooter runs at 60 now. It's not like some of those games don't also have large explorable areas or big set pieces.

HuhWarframe.
Don't give a crap about the story.
Just give me guns and cool shit.
Destiny's 6 V 6 MP does not have larger maps than BF1.
Here is something a poster linked in the last Destiny thread
Destiny at 60fps
I disagree with this. Cabal are the one race you truly need to fight differently. And Cabal without shields have not been bullet sponges for a very long time. They can be a pain because they can be difficult at times.
I would love a Cabal Raid.
It's like you didn't read the post you were replying to.

Hoping to see a re-imagined Cabal

If there's one thing the majority of Destiny fans agree on, I always thought it was the Cabal suck
