Have to get back into TF2. Took a break a week after AC 24/7 playlist vanished (patch 1.03 or 1.04). Have to see what the latest patch (1.05) brought in.

Honestly found the Colony map brought in some of the needed unpredictability associated with TF1's combat/map design, as opposed to TF2's over-reliance of 3-lane philosophy.

Yeah, that's exactly the look i make when being cross mapped from a G2 by a stationary potato for the third or fourth time. When will people understand that it isn't because you die, it's because no one likes being cheesed.

Idk man, the game is so much fun. I just brush it off and move on with my day. I'm not a professional Titanfall player where my income is dependent on it. MW2 is one of my favorite shooters of all time because it allowed players to express themselves with the whole sandbox. Everything was good!

G2 players may be annoying, but it's nothing in the grand scheme of things.

I want to say it's the worst map, but I think the best way to put it is

everything is Sandtrap

We need a Mozambique and Pistol only mode. PLEASE RESPAWN DO IT

Glitch in the frontier sounds interesting, but we gotta wait to hear more. Also, I really like that they're sharing fan submissions in the updates, it's a good way to connect with more of the community.

Colony is still the best map in the game despite all that lol. But i agree a hammond only playlist would be awesome.

  • Next week we will be posting a blog that will reveal a bunch of the things we've got in the works for DLC for the next few months. This won't cover everything single thing we have planned but will give you a good sense of what to expect over the next few months and we've got some exciting things to share.
  • There will be another DLC drop coming this month and it's called, A Glitch in the Frontier. Later this month we'll have an F.N.N. where we will be revealing all the content coming with it, the trailer, and release date.
  • We'll be doing some new stuff with the Featured Mode tab in multiplayer. I can't get into details yet but towards the end of the month expect to see new stuff there outside of the normal modes as we'll be experimenting with a few things...
Respawns' FNN reminds me of the band Tool talking about an album that has been in the works for over 10 years.

i swore i read that freesync on causes delays? some people say it's smarter to keep it off for shooters (maybe it was just for titanfall)

Nope, there was a failed report on it, but otherwise, it's something you should think about.

I doubt Titanfall 2 will ever require it because it should be a solid 60, especially on Scorpio (the Pro runs it solid at any FoV for example).

The competitive ctf state of this game on console is tragic.

Grapple flag caps is simply 100% cheese. Arc nades won't even stop them from going full speed even when they hit the ground.

Colony is becoming unplayable.

i learned the other day that a reaper takes out your titan if it falls on you. i guess it's my fault since it makes it entirely obvious where/when it's going to drop, but that still annoyed me.

First time that happened to me I sat there like wtf killed me. Then I watched the replay and was like well shit learn something new every day.

Im finding its one of my fav maps where I'm usually in the top 3/MVP, between hardpoint, bounty hunt or attrition :)

It's exactly what TF2 needed... less trash like crashsite, which honestly needs to get delisted already

in competitive ctf because of the grapple. the caps are simply too fast and unstoppable.
 
you know what's annoying? if you join a match in progress, finish with the most points, and lose, you actually DO get credit for the loss and DON'T get credit for the mvp. is it supposed to be like this, or is it just broken? i'm on ps4. any time it says "this loss will not appear on your record", i still get the loss.

also, i noticed that coliseum stuff sometimes counts towards your stats, and sometimes doesn't. what gives?

It's weird that it has different effectiveness for different guns, and some guns it doesn't even work on at all. I just want to know if I should even bother exploiting it because it might get patched.

So it seems that they finally added the film grain slider that they had been talking about adding since launch... but when you use abilities like stim it maxes the setting out for the duration that they're active. I can't believe they still can't get it right.

i noticed that to. There's so many problems with this game on a multitude of levels.

You mean the way different weapons handle the "phases" of the reload animation? Yes it is intentional.

That there isn't reload canceling? Yes intentional.

It was always silly seeing an entire magazine get thrown to the ground then magically reappear; it became universe-breaking to see it happen with entire Archer tubes. =)

(Gameplay-wise, there are a lot of benefits. Long reloads don't have giant penalties for late interrupts, for example.)
 
Well, reload-cancel is cancelling the reload animation early but getting the reload. At least that seems to be the terminology that caught on, logic be damned. And of course there's always the point where canceling your reload still actually cancels your reload. It doesn't seem like that big of a thing in Titanfall. Since you're in the air so much (well, idiots like me who aren't playing that potato game) I don't think t he sprint-cancel technique from COD is the thing. So I don't even know. Is this a YY style thing in Titanfall? I think I saw a video on it once but don't remember the details and it didn't seem worth incorporating into my game.

I'll take the fast reload perk and have lightning fast reloads anyway. In COD canceling the reload animation was pretty much a way of life.

What's really missing is "switching to your sidearm is always faster than reloading" in this game, because running a sidearm over anti-titan outside of pilot only modes is stupid. Which also kills the Smart Pistol outside of pilot-only modes. But I think I complained about that before. At least I'm not the only broken record in the thread.

Anyway, not much interest in playing since the Colony DLC, Live Fire was more engaging for me. But I'll keep checking FNN when it pops up and see if there's anything to draw me back.

As someone who used to play Trials in Destiny with NLB, reload-cancelling is fun but an bad game mechanic.

I like how Titanfall 2 does it.

(I'm still here because I am hyped for the speedrun)

Anyway, Im done lol The lack of, and unnecessary, balance changes in the most recent update broke the camel's back.

I was planning a Ronin centric video (with awesome music and neat twixtor shots :p) but have completely lost interest in it and the game. So, as a parting gift I give thee an incomplete project that was very early in the process with a weird cut - two clips (more were planned!) beating up on a couple of SlowBros in LTS

After 5 days played I think I'm done with this game for a bit. I just rage quit my last game of pvp because every one on the other team was just sitting on roof tops behind a walls using the g2. It needs nerfed on consoles bad. At the very least it should have a fire rate cap it's out of control.

I also wish they would do something about the aim assist on assault rifles rifles you can close your eyes and get kills with how strong it is. No point in moving around the map when a g2 can 2 shot you from a mile away while they sit on buildings.

It's great for some guns like the Flatline and Alternator. You can also cancel it with just sliding then standing up/hoping.
