And he's still not drawn as a black brute, if you go by literally every other instance of him being drawn in phase 4. As in, literally every other instance. He's naked and being held against his will, I don't know what you want me to tell you. There's also the fact that Jamie Hewlett's artstyle changes with every phase

As for asian caricatures, yes I know that they're caricatures, I'm not saying they're okay, but it's making fun of the army of North Korea, I wouldn't say that this is a battle worth fighting.

A caricature of something isn't inherently bad and by definition a caricature is going to exaggerate prominent features. If a street caricature artist is drawing a group of dark skinned people that have large lips and noses, are they racist? the answer is obviously not, because it's not trying to depict them in a negative light. Comedic, sure, but that's not inherently a bad thing. It depends on the intention. Those WW2 posters have the intention of painting asians in a bad light. I don't believe that Jamie Hewlett had this intention.

But if you're hell bent on painting Jamie Hewlett as a racist for his artwork maybe you look into all of the productions he's been involved in, particularly this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monkey:_Journey_to_the_West
and look at all of the world inspired art Jamie Hewlett has done and then ask yourself is this person a racist because they made some caricatures.

The entire BIG TEETH thing that Jamie Hewlett does? It's a thing he does. A thing he's been doing for many years.


And no, it's not specific to any race.

Best to drop this before you embarrass yourself further.

Yeah, they are photoshopped or edited, Jamie's current style is a mix of edited images and traditional art. But it can still be considered a caricature, which again isn't inherently bad.

Only two of those Asian soldiers have been altered (the two in the middle), the woman on the middle left looks like she's had someone else's mouth shopped in to make her look weird (not to emulate the bucktoothed stereotype, imo), and the woman on the right is just missing a mouth entirely. Going from that to racist caricature is a huge leap.

They're photoshopped.

Just like the gang on the album cover, heavily photoshopped pictures of actual people/pieced together.

eh, if he can't derive a nice v0 from a FLAC rip there's probably issues with the FLAC rip itself that having it in full resolution wouldn't fix. Aside from giving you the proper format to edit the audio yourself and clean it up as it were.

Can someone just tell me what two songs I'm supposed to be looking out for on this album if I hate rap / non Gorillaz people being the main attraction on a song?

The whole thing is of the same quality. I'm not giving the songs a full listen, just scoping them out until a good leak comes out or the album launch.

Some have more. Andromeda and Busted and Blue are pretty much all Damon. But it's not too different tbh. Charger is most if not all Damon, Submission has a fair bit too. Haven't listened to it all the way though. or even songs all the way. Production is great though.

the only song (afaik not listened to this in full yet) Damon isn't in at all is Carnival.
