I wouldn't go so far as to say tons better but I think an argument could be made they are fairly equal. At least from the footage available which is from a pre-release game with less than optimal quality options. I'm not saying it's definitively hot garbage but Capcom and it's release window give me minimal confidence in the final product.

No one should be lynch mobbing Ryce. Capcom is no stranger to "simple modes" in their recent efforts and given the lower than expected sales of SFV, I could totally see MvCI having it.

Marvel/Disney would want this game to have broader reach than a traditional fighting game so it wouldn't be shocking to see a simple mode in the game which is most likely what was being spoken about.

Not trying to start everything up again, but wasn't the Ryce information that Ryu's DP was changing motions? Not that there wasn't any Dragon Punch motions in the game at all.....

I just think the character models in KoF are really flat with no depth.

Tons better is too much, yeah, but the direct feed screens all look way better to me than most things I see in KoF.

But, like KoF, they both look worse than their contemporaries. Hopefully, like KoF, it's one of the better fighters released. Haven't touched SF5 in a month because of KoF.

That's exactly what it was lol. People want to ban Ryce? That's fucking stupid. Ryce predates the public knowledge of the games existence, he was there in the beginning as the one who hyped us up with good news about a new entry that people didn't believe was true until it was. How quick people turn on one another is sad :(.

Capcom added a Psylocke and Cyclops color palate for Cammy in SFV with yesterday's update. Possibly hinting at future characters for MVCI?

I'm glad they're able to cut costs and reuse old assets where they couldn't in MVC3. Going to get a much bigger roster and tons more content to boost.

I don't care about asset reuse, as long as that means a bit more content. Everything being reused to end up with less characters than vanilla MVC3 would be disappointing. Still not the end of the world, but we're not getting anything in return for that cost saving.

And Ryce didn't directly play the build, he knows people who did play it and forwarded that info. If it isn't true, then yeah.... Oops but he can't confirm something like that first hand. But I remember back when he first mentioned the new MVC and I believe it was Bish who gave him the mod approval, proof that he was legit.

Looking at Injustice 2's leap in quality and then looking at this new MvC is real rough. End of the day it's probably going to play better but damn... Not a looker.

Both were my mains in 2, so hopefully Psylocke is considered for Infinite.

With spidey all they need to do is just costume swaps. Everyone wins. And while my preferences are inconsistent, they just fall in line with what we got in UMvC3. I liked how they treated different eras of heroes with the costume swaps. But yes, we need a fem Thor.

I think the game looks solid and the game play looks fun. The lighting just needs a bit of work and the UI looks like something from an early Xbox live arcade title

Most modern 2D fighting games have some type of simple mode or auto combo system in the game now.
